Absolutely great localization, I guess, the best in Wuppertal. In the pedestrian area, Monorail station in 5 m, Rilway and bus stations in 100 m. .Rooms are all in white, simply equipped, but with all that is needed and clean, The bed is comfortable. the breakfast is fine, the personnel is friendly and helpful.

Coffee mashine might have worked bette during a breakfast time

I am very happy with my stay at Hotel Astor! Superb Location, Supporting staff, Clean Room. Very comfortable for the business traveler. The train station is like at a Door step! Well placed! right close to restaurants, mall and all day to day shops. I will surely re-visit this hotel in near future.

The Hotel was right next to the Hauptbahnhof schwebebahn station which was super as this was my main reason for coming to Wuppertal. This was also in the main city centre.

There was no air-con on a very warm evening. Not unusual in northern European hotels but still made sleeping difficult. Breakfast choice was also rather limited.

Great value for money here! The hotel is located at walking distance to the Hauptbahnhof, the Wuppertal Schwebebahn and the center of the town. The rooms are simple but really clean. There is an extensive breakfast buffet included in the room price. Which is really great for this price! Staff is very friendly and helpful with questions.

There is 24 hour reception, but you need sometimes to call German number for opening front door - I have SIM card only for my country

Hotel is close to Hbf & dangle train station, just off main shopping street. Hotel is basic but of a very high standard, spotless, well maintained, friendly & helpful staff. A simple & very filling breakfast provided as well.

First impression from street isn't great, but once inside it can be seen that place is clean & well maintained, so basically no negative issues.

We got free tickets for public transportation for all days of our stay! And not only for Wuppertal but the whole region (VRR). It was an excellent surprise for us, we used them a lot to travel around.

The elevator could be larger and cleaner - but it's not a big issue.

Very friendly and helpful host, excellent location, great to have the ticket for public transport included in the price, excellent breakfast, we were even offered a cup of coffee when we returned to the hotel to collect our bags that were being looked after.

One room had a splendid view over the town, but the lower floor room looked out over a rather drab building. But that was the only one, minor issue.

great location next to train station and "sky train"; friendly staff; good communication, excellent breakfast; I enjoyed the "outdated" atmosphere of the hostel and its furniture like straight out of the 1980s-1990s, very diverse customers, much appreciate, unexpensive and surprinsingly quiet for such a central place next to train station

wifi connection was poor

We were pleased with our stay at Hotel Astor. We arrived by train, so its location very close to the main train station suited us well. Although we arrived 1 1/2 hours before check-in time, the staff welcomed us and allowed us to check in early. Our room was clean and comfortable, we enjoyed a plentifiul hot breakfast, and the wifi worked well. The hotel also provided free VRR tickets that allowed us to ride the Schwebebahn. Best of all, Hotel Astor offered great value.
