Convenient to all the major sites and with a good breakfast. Next door to the Bread Factory that serves great cafeteria style greek meals and an amazing array of Greek cakes and sweets.

The wifi constantly swung from available to non existent and worsened during peak times. The area around is a bit dodgy with homeless, drug affected and begging people around. Be aware.

Very nice hospitality service and great public communication options driectly from hotel to everywhere in Athens are guarantee to have good and safe time during stay (Hotel is next to Metaxourgeio metro station with great connections everywhere around). If you want visit Athens and have nice base to stay with views from Your room for Acropolis and Lycabettus hill choose this hotel. I liked breakfasts with every day nice hot and cold stuff on the buffet: Everybody fill find somenthig good for themself(I thank you for smoked bacon and local pickles ;). Additionall attitute is fact that so close in walking distance from hotel are few from best restaurants in Athens: f.ex:Thinalos. I had a great time there with my family and I can recommend this hotel for others.

Opinions from booking and google about location there. Ofcourse this is not some closed secured hotel district this is cassual city center of capitol city so always You can see different views but in my opinion this area currently is safe as every other part of Athens.

The best feat of this hotel is the location, access to public transport (2 minutes to reach the station by walk), the access to some good restaurants. We stayed here for 3 days and we were for the most part of Athens outside the hotel, exploring. And so, if this is your itinerary, I'd say go for it. Its a good value for money with good selection of breakfast.

I got what I paid for. Maybe rooms can have a bit more space but again, this is Europe and this is not unusual. Plus we have our toddler so makes any room feel cramped with her toys everywhere.

The breakfast was rich in options. Classic with the touch of Greek taste. The waiters were very helpful and were watching if something was about to finish to bring more. The location is very good, just around the corner is the M2 Metro line. The staff was polite and helpful in whatever I asked them. The room was getting cleaned everyday. The air-conditioning was fine. There is a small lobby with a small cafeteria and sandwiches. Coffee was good.

The wifi connection could be better. This need improvement. Because it is located in a busy main road when the window was open the noise was very much. But when the window was closed it was having sufficient sound proofing.

I had a great stay at Crystal City Hotel. The check in was smooth as well as the check out. In my opinion the hotel is in a good location. Easy access to the tube station (everything was walkable wherever I went), and there were some really good restaurants nearby. I liked the breakfast and spent some really good relaxing time at the rooftop bar. Special thanks to Ares who has made the the best negroni ever and an excellent limoncello spritz! He was very kind and friendly!I have found im very easy to talk to. Thank you again!

As myself I am nearly 2m tall i have found the bathtub a bit small, however it did not bother me that much,

Although we initially booked our stay at the Crystal City Hotel, we were relocated to their sister property, Golden City Hotel, due to some unforeseen plumbing issues. While we didn't get to experience Crystal City first-hand, I must say our stay at Golden City was delightful. The rooms were very comfortable, with cozy beds and pillows that ensured a good night's sleep. Housekeeping was excellent, with our room cleaned daily and fresh towels provided each day. Breakfast was perfect, and we especially appreciated the warm hospitality from Spiridon. Dinner was also a highlight of our stay, thanks to Albert who made our dining experience memorable. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and hassle-free.

The only downside was the area surrounding the hotel, which felt a bit unsettling, especially at night.

It’s in good location as it is near shops,restaurants and the metro. These are just 3-5 mins away by foot. There is a 24 hr bakery shop next to it. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. It was just perfect for the price.

its a really busy street so it is loud whenever we open the balcony door to let the cold air in. In Greece, we learned AC’s lets out only warm air during winter season. We noticed some streets/corners close to the hotel are not the tidiest and safest but I think it’s a normal thing which you can avoid.

The beds, the balcony, the sound proof doors and windows, the friendly staff, the price . We found out that the price can vary considerably and we got the best deal !

Athens streetsounds are loud. This is something the hotel cant help. The neighbourhood is not very posche or chique but we never felt unsafe. Others might feel unsafe in the hotel neighbourhood but to us it was not an issue.The breakfast was okay but sadly a nice cappucino was missing; A quality hotel serves good coffee for breakfast !

I had a wonderful experience at the Crystal City Hotel in Athens, and I cannot help but praise all aspects that contributed to an excellent stay. Located in the heart of the city, the hotel is very close to the metro station and the Hop on, Hop off buses, facilitating quick and convenient access to the city's major tourist attractions. The hotel staff stood out for their kindness and promptness. Every encounter with them was pleasant, and their willingness to answer any questions and provide recommendations made our experience even more enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious and extremely varied, with a rich selection of fresh and tasty dishes. With the bakery next to the hotel and the rooftop bar overlooking the Acropolis, we had excellent options to start the day or relax in the evening. The accommodation conditions met expectations, with a clean and well-maintained hotel. The room I stayed in, while perhaps a bit dated, was still comfortable and welcoming. The bed was excellent, providing the rest I needed after days of exploration. The hotel's central location was another major advantage. I enjoyed walks in Plaka, just 2 km away, and the metro station was only 50 m from the hotel. The underground parking was an additional benefit, facilitating access by car and providing the peace of mind that my car was safe. In addition to all these, the hotel's terrace with a panoramic view of Athens and the Acropolis was truly impressive. There, I enjoyed drinks and dinner, admiring the amazing landscape. In conclusion, the Crystal City Hotel in Athens was an excellent choice for my stay. With friendly staff, good facilities, and a central location, I will certainly return with pleasure in the future. I highly recommend this hotel to those who want to discover the beauty of Athens in a comfortable and pleasant manner.

The Staff at the hotel are very friendly and extremely helpful. We have stayed there on six occasions and have always asked the hotel to arrange airport taxi travel and travel to ferry terminals and they have never let us down. The rooms are light and airey and the breakfast room is large with a very good menu. It is only a 10 minute walk to Omonia Square.

On two occasions we had a room facing the service area of the hotel but as we arrived at 2.00am and were away to the ferry terminal by 9.00am it was not a problem. The rooms facing the Acropolis have an excellent view.
