Highly recommended, simply best hotel in Crete, Staff, service, cleanness, food quality & selection, management, we had a family holiday visit last week, we really enjoyed staying in Lyttos Mare. The main restaurant manager "George" is a great friendly person, I was surprised how he could manage such large capacity restaurant and deliver such good service and quality food from its kitchen. Location is great for both adults relaxation and kids activities. Pools are very clean...always find space around pools.. Room is very clean, bed was very comfortable. I normally read reviews before I booked a place, we heard some people saying kids are playing until late and noisy evenings, this was not the case at all, this is very high class hotel, all kids and guests are very polite and friendly too. Downside is that food and drinks were too good, I couldn't stop myself eating and drinking, 😀... now I need to be in Gym everyday....😂

This is a proper 5* resort. Comfortable rooms, various and good food, programs for kids, shows in the evenings. Kind and helpful staff. Many sunbeds, many pools.

A few, small details which will make it even better: - the Lyttopia playground needs some shadowing, in this form it's unusable from 10 to 17 because of the heat. Also the minigolf is unusable due to inadequate construction. A few free table football, darts and other would be a nice add up instead of the extra cost playroom. - the only kind of deception was the argentinian steak house, you need better steaks and cooks here if you wanna keep up or just change it to other type of restaurant.

The pools and the food! The fact that everything was spacious and we didn't feel crowded Room manager Mary was very helpful to us!

Room cleaning could have been better

Exceptional service: very nice and friendly staff, open bar with a wide choice of soft beverages and alcohol, delicious food. Here I have to specify that the best 2 restaurants were Main Restaurant and Greek Tavern - here you could always find something special for any of your cravens as well as wide choice of fish and sea food which was cooked for you on grill. The first hotel, where they know how to do perfect eggs. Excellent pools and beach. Very clean rooms and all the facilities. Highly recommend this hotel!

The only 2 things that were bad were 2 a la carte restaurants - do not recommend to visit them. If Steak house was just not good, meaning that you order rare steak and get almost well done, then Asian restaurant was VERY BAD - me and my husband got stomach issues after visiting it, not mentioning that dishes were not tasty and fully spoiled by the amount of sauce.

beautiful property. great food in the buffet, nice cocktails, wonderful staff, amazing kids club. kids loved the entertainment which was of high quality and varied and our kids don’t normally like kids clubs. The kids club catered to all our children from 4 to 12. the sports facilities were great, the daily football matches, table tennis tournaments and water park & playgrounds!

I am travelling a lot with work and leisure and it is the first time in the last 10 years when I am giving a straight 10 to this facility. Everything brand new. Spacious rooms, several swimming pools, restaurants and private garden and beach. Food was amazing and excellent variety. We had all inclusive package and the options on drinks are endless. The staff are always smiling and caring . Regards to Marina, Vivi, Vasili and Paris at the pool bar. Extraordinary people and they made us feel like family !!

We had a bit of a bad experience on one of the A la Carte restaurants but they did a quick customer service recovery the next day. The place is a bit quiet on evenings. A lot of activities for children but i believe they should address the adult section as well. Not all travelers are families with children and some entertainment is always welcomed on holidays.

The cleaning was failure. After first day we put towels on a floor, but didn't get new towels, a cleaning lady just filed the dirty towels😩

Our first time in Crete from California so we weren't sure what to expect. Great facilities. Swimming pool, water park, surrounded by good food options. On site soccer, tennis, beautiful gym, great cirque DU Soleil type entertainment at night. Great location for Heraklio and Knossos. Great option for kids. Little expensive but we thought it was worth it.

Beaches are not as nice for swimming but good for playing/wading. It was too comfortable so we had hard time convincing kids to leave property and sight see especially when temps approached 100 F.

Modern, impeccably clean, extremely helpful staff. Superb water park as well as a playground for kids, tennis courts, excellent bike rental company on-site. During our stay the outdoor pools were quite cold, but the heated one indoors was perfect. All-inclusive buffet was good, reasonably varied. And the entertainment team (external company) was great, especially our kids loved them!

Nothing to dislike really. The only things falling slightly short of perfect were the lack of experience of some staff (e.g. often wanting to take away our plates at the buffet while we were still eating) and slightly disappointing quality of the à la carte steak restaurant. Also, during peak season the resort will probably be rather crowded; during our stay in May it was probably at half occupancy, and still at breakfast one sometimes had to wait a (short) moment to get a free table (though this was also because it was too cold to use the outdoor space).
