The location was excellent. Right in the centre of the town of Kardemena. Go outside the hotel at the front, walk 500mtrs and you are at the harbour, sea and beach. All the shops bars and restaurants are on the doorstep and barely any traffic on harbouring other than tourists choosing which restaurant, or tavern or shop they want to go in. Coming out of the hotel to the right side, is a taxi rank, bus stop, and to the right if them 30mtrs up road is a chemist. Over the main road from taxi rank is a large, modern supermarket with a lovely delicatessen and bakery, again more bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was immaculate. Sheets and towels were changed every three days, but if you needed more, you had only to ask. The owner Vasilias and his wife Stampitha and family run the hotel with friendly precision and nothing was too much trouble. They did a nice menu of snack food, but beware, the snacks were plentiful and delicious. There is a pool table, sky sports, a tv/ reading room and a large bar area through front of hotel to back of hotel.Vasilias gave us a welcome drink, showed us our room 212, showed us the safe and air conditioning and tv, which were all free. There was a kettle, hob, microwave cutlery,pots, pans, glasses enough for three people, two extremely comfortable beds and a sofa bed, table and three chairs. The balcony of our room was roomy with a table and two chairs and was above the entrance of the hotel. We had a lovely view of the taxi rank and shops and fast food shop directly over the road and was perfect for people watchers (my husband). There were plenty of sockets for your appliances though the tv only had greek channels, but we did not use it. There are two sets of WiFi log ins, one for the room and one if you are downstairs in the pub. Would I stay here again. Yes, in a heartbeat. Would I recommend it to my friends? Yes, most certainly.

Nothing I didn't like. The weather was uncomfortable for some as it was well over 30 everyday.

Perfect location, lovely big room spotlessly clean, comfy double bed, staff were so friendly especially the owner who would go out of his way to help with anything.

My only qualm was that we had a very late flight leaving the resort at 21.30, we were unable to keep our room on because the hotel was full with new guests, there was a little room to leave our bags and get changed but a shower room would have been perfect.

Brilliant location, very friendly staff, comfiest beds I have slept in for a long while! Room was very quite even though you are near the main taxi rank, less than a minute and you are in the main square at the harbour, 5 minute walk to the beach. Pub underneath the rooms has decent size tv's for sport and serve good drinks and food, breakfast was very nice.

Centrally located and close to all transport links- bus,taxi and the port. Room a good size, comfy bed, good shower and a kettle. Didn’t have much contact with reception staff but they were there if needed. The lady who does the cleaning is amazing and we had a little chat most days. I have stayed in many hotels and apartments in Kardamena over the last 20 years and Rio is one of the best. Would definitely stay again.

Coming home

More or less everything. Staff really friendly. Location was great. Right opposite the bus stop for Kos and top of street to main square. In the middle of everything.

Only downside was there was no pool. Our fault as we didn't check the facilities fully before booking

the owner is very attentive, bed is comfortable .. right next to transport supermarket bakery everything you need …

only problem is about furniture 🪑 very noisy, some rooms are very close to the main street .. even with double window a lot of noise .. that's why I'm a very light sleeper

clean and large room,amazing location right in the heart of everything and close to the water! The owner super friendly and nice as were his staff! Really can’t fault the place you can’t go wrong even the main taxi rank straight out the front!

Everyday cleaning of the apartment, every 3rd day new sheets and towels. Excellent location, really nice and welcoming host. Would recommend this property to everyone.
