convenient location, great breakfast

my room was ok for a short stay, but was small & I was disturbed by late arrivals to the room next door as the entrances to the two rooms were very close & floors being a hard surface really amplified any noise in the corridor outside. These two rooms would really work better as a family suite rather than as independent rooms. A transfer from the port would have been helpful. It isn’t very far to walk, but, factoring in the heat and luggage, I took a taxi, which was pricey for such a short journey.

This property was absolutely beautiful. It was within probably 200 m of the beach and the rooms had gorgeous views. Every morning we had a phenomenal breakfast. I lovely seating area outside where we could enjoy our breakfast every morning. So many different choices of pastries, fruits, yogurt, tea, and coffee, and all the usual breakfast items. The hotel is within walking distance to the town and in such a perfect location. We were out of the very crowded area of Naxos, but still close enough to enjoy some of the crowds when we wanted to be in the thick of things. George and his brother were amazing hosts. George went out of his way to accommodate us when we needed a room because our ferry was leaving late on or last day. Thank you George! Truly a beautiful hotel. You will not be disappointed in any way!

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at the Galini Hotel. We arrived by early ferry and on arrival we were offered breakfast. The breakfast was the best on our trip so far, such a selection of homemade goods. We received an upgrade on our room, which was modern and comfortable, including a bottle of wine and water. The owner gave a good introduction of the island, where to visit and places to eat. Assisted with organising car hire at a good rate. Location is good, close to the beach, short walk to the port, restaurants and shops. Naxos Chora is a wondetful place with a labyrinth of alley ways. Leaving the town, there are many traditional villages and stunning views to be seen. Sorry our stay was so short, definitely a place to return too, thanks for the warm friendly welcome.

Staff were very helpful. I arrived at 3 am due to a ferry delay and staff were waiting at the hotel to meet me. The breakfast was exceptional. It offered a choice of a wide of foods including sandwiches, cereal, yoghurt, boiled eggs and a wide variety of pastries. There is a variety of jams which are home made. The hotel is only a fifteen-minute walk to the ferry and a ten-minute walk to the town center. The room was a good size and had a balcony from which the sea was visible when seated outside. The hotel is located right next to St. George's beach. The owner and staff were friendly. The room had a high ceiling from which an old-fashioned lamp hung, so it was more like an older nineteenth or early twentieth century hotel with some character rather than a generic modern hotel. At the same time, the hotel had completely modern facilities and contemporary decor in the breakfast room.

Breakfast was great - lots of options. We were most impressed by the owner of the hotel, who sat us down and showed us the best places to go and things to see on the island. We were given complimentary wine during our stay as well. The view from our room was a picturesque scene of the sea and beaches.

The room was a little small for our taste and the bed was too firm/not really comfortable. While also a modern/romantic type room, we feel that separate shower area to the rest of the room would be beneficial.

Excellent location, 10-15 min walk from ferry pier, just off the beach (where there are great places to eat), 5 minutes from town where there is everything. Lovely and quiet away from the bustle. On arrival, the staff gave lots of great recommendations about where to eat, drink, where to visit which is so helpful when there is so much choice. Amazing sunsets every night. The hosts are friendly and were super helpful when my son sick. They care very much about the hotel and their patrons. We didn’t stay long enough to enjoy all Naxos has to offer. We would happily stay there again.

The rooms didn’t really have great views.

The location is fantastic- near the beach, near the port, near the old town and far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be lovely and quiet. The bathroom was fabulous. The best shower I had in my 31 days in Greece. It actually had doors and a huge overhead shower alongside the hand held one. The towels were so thick, soft and fluffy that I wanted to take them home with me to cuddle. The balcony had a view of the Temple of Apollo and a drying rack with pegs for laundry, along with a table and two chairs. Lovely. I also appreciated the safe in the room. Finally, the breakfast was superb! So much variety and choice of absolutely delicious food, I almost didn’t know where to start… dazzling to the eye and the tastebuds. George and his brother were informative and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I hated that I had to leave.

The owner of this property is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He was extremely helpful and helped us plan our time in Naxos. The breakfast there was incredible. Everything is homemade, from the chutneys to the marmalade. The room was just perfect. Very clean, night, comfortable and relaxing. The location is fantastic. We had our best meal in Greece just footsteps from the hotel on the beach. The owner and his wife take so much pride in their property and it shows. I wish we had stayed longer, I cannot recommend this hotel and the kind hosts enough.

George and Brother and their family were the best hosts you could ask for. We booked two nights through bookings. Com. Thank goodness they were able to accommodate us on very short notice. We ended up falling in love with the island of Naxos that we ended up staying five extra days. Every morning the smell of fresh pastry warming and coffee made several different ways. Along with pastries there was so many different brunch items. The patio in the morning is the beginning of your education about this beautiful island. Walk out of your room down the alley and you are on the most beautiful sandy beach. Every room is very well accommodated. Honeymoon suite has the best view. If you feel like a true Greek Island experience , don't hesitate. Just book a room and enjoy 😉

The most delicious breakfast we’ve had at any hotel anywhere - thanks to a large variety of traditional Greek pastries, cakes, and good coffee - we looked forward to breakfast each day. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was very neat and felt luxurious. The hosts were very helpful and gave great restaurant recommendations.

The room was on the lower floor and did not have a view which we were expecting. The washing line on the balcony was very small; we struggled to fit our beach towels and swimwear.
