Review of the mystery hotel We arrived at 9 pm (ish). Katerina from the hotel kept in touch with us, and was there to collect us and deliver us 2km (shortest ever journey from an airport in my life!) to the beautiful hotel she calls home. From arrival until we left 7 days later nothing was too much trouble for her and her wonderful team of staff. Our room (2 bed suite) was spotless with a super comfy bed. It was cleaned by a lovely lady daily with towel changes and to a continuously high standard. We ate in the hotel restaurant both for some lunches and some evenings and all the meals we had were delicious and very well priced. We had breakfast included and this was pre ordered the night before which was for me a memory of my youth staying in an Italian ski hotel but this one in skiathos had a much better chef and staff !! Everything from a perfect omelette to a poached egg to Greek yoghurt and honey and fruit and crepes all were delicious including a Greek salad for breakfast which I regularly indulged in. The eating areas are both inside and on the outdoor patio overlooking a beautifully lit pool area and although the mystery hotel is expanding into the adjacent new building they are creating there were no active building works to disturb us. Everything was quiet and tranquil. We sunbathed by the pool and enjoyed waitress service to our sun loungers (very pleasant), and the stone facades and decorative greenery on the walls around us were a lovely backdrop. The hotel is situated around 8 mins walk from the waters edge in the old or new port. It is important to listen to Katerina’s directions as we took a much longer route on our first day and ended up literally on a mystery tour up a very steep hill to get back to base when there is a flat road merely 10 metres away which would have saved our legs. However that’s all part of the fun I suppose. The bus service from the town all down the island is excellent and we ventured down to stop 16 and found some

We stayed one night at Mystery Skiathos Luxury before returning home. The hotel is very well maintained and very clean. Also very well equipped (pool, restaurant). It is located in a quiet environment despite its (convenient) proximity to the airport. In particular, we would like to highlight the efficiency and kindness of the lady managing the hotel. We also noted a smiling staff, clearly happy to work there. The city centre and the port are only a few minutes away thanks to the hotel shuttle.

Katarina and her husband Thomas were lovely and very hospitable. The staff were fabulous and made us feel so welcome and were very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and home cooked. We had a lovely stay.

There was a derelict building next door as some building work going on so we didn't know about that until we arrived. The view was not particularly nice looking at it when we first arrived but it didn't affect our stay as we didn't experience any noise.

The property was very clean & modern.

One drawback was there was lots of stairs to get to the rooms but not bad.

Had a great stay at this small boutique hotel in June 2022. The host Katerina was very kind and helpful. The location was great, only a 5 min walk into the town and the bus stop and supermarket are close by. The bus stops at every beach which is numbered, found it very easy to use and only 2 euros. Plenty of beaches to choose from. Skiathos town is lovely and there is a sea taxi and plenty of boat trips to go on. We went to Skopelos taking in a visit to the Mama Mia church, cave and Lalaria Beach where the water so clear and aqua blue. We stayed with bed and breakfast. The breakfast is pre ordered the night before and you can have anything you like and the choice was good, also excellent service. Had some food there one evening and that was very good too, excellent mousaka. Room was very spacious, more like an apartment and there is a maid service every day. Host can also arrange transfers to and from the airport at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend and stay there again if I return to Skiathos for a holiday.

We had a great stay at the Mystery as a family of 3. The small team are excellent, the hospitality is 10 out of 10, they can not do enough for you. They helped us with everything, even when we couldn't get a taxi to a wedding we were attending the manager took us in her own car. It was very relaxing, a 10 minute walk into Skiathos town, and a 15-20 minute walk to the beaches. I would highly recommend.

Room was generously sized with balconies and two separate bedrooms, plus kitchen/lounge area and shower room. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the manager, Katarina. We didn't make use of the restaurant on the evening (preferring to eat in the town) but the breakfasts were delicious, with a wide choice of items available, all freshly prepared. The pool area was fabulous — comfortable sunbeds, swing chairs, adjustable shade and an immaculately clean pool which we often had almost to ourselves. Located in a quiet backstreet, it is a pleasant 5 minute stroll to Papadiamanti street and another 5-10 minutes to the Bourtzi and seafront. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Shower room was a bit small and one of the bedrooms not very well lit (only bedside lights to illuminate the whole room) but these are only minor niggles.

Breakfast was lovely each morning The staff and family were so welcoming and were great with arranging a bike hire as well as one of our best boat trips we have ever had The room we had exceeded all expectations

This is just constructive criticism as I know that there is not much that could be done to fix it, but the pool area is not really big enough for the number of guests in the hotel

Lovely small hotel with a nice pool. We had booked a room with a bedroom, mezzanine and a sofa bed (at the top of a lot of stairs!) that slept 5 which was probably a bit on the small side for me and 4 men over 6 foot but was good value. The bathroom however was very small and the rainforest shower tended to flood the floor rather after 5 occupants. Breakfast had to be ordered the night before and had some lovely options including fruit, yogurt and some freshly cooked options of Greek omelettes and pancakes which we had by the pool every morning. Katerina couldn’t have been more helpful and as the restaurant was closed for a couple of nights gave us excellent recommendations. A lovely stay with our adult family.

Nothing, though the tap on the sink in the room (as opposed to the bathroom) didn’t really work and I’ve already mentioned the shower.

Mystery Skiathos – by far exceeded our expectations! The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home in a way that we haven't experienced at any other hotel we've stayed at. We were greeted with the friendliest of faces at the front desk and showed to our room (which was incredible). Breakfast was served each morning at the poolside restaurant and it was delicious to say the least. the property is located roughly a 5 minute walk from the main port/town centre giving you the perfect balance of staying close to everything but also far enough that you don't hear all the hustle and bustle of the tourists. I have to commend the staff more tan anything else though, they all managed to make us feel like we were a part of their beautiful family whilst maintaining a high standard of professionalism. 10/10, we will be returning and we have already told all of our family to visit when they are next away on holidays. If you are planning a staying in Skiathos and don't stay here, I assure you, you're missing out on a beautiful experience.
