Breakfast was delicious and ambundant. I appreciated pancakes and croissants with chocolate spreading the most, but there was a menu for literally all tastes (american, british, french, you name it!). Coffee was excellent as well. The staff was trying their best to serve quickly and always with a smile. The room spatious and clean, with good air condintion and the sandy beach just perfect and an arm's length from the hotel (just across the road!). Dinner was also tasteful, with an adequate variety. I believe very good value for money and a first choice for families, although it was very quiet and we didn't have a problem with noise at all!

The diner lacked air condition and the temperature was a bit higher than expected. Thanks to the room's large windows, this was not a major issue however. I also noticed the personnel's black, disposable, PVC gloves they wore during dinner service. I know the purpose was meant to be protective, but I don't believe it was very sanitative. They trap sweat and cannot be dissinfected. Using them in a 5* hotel just doesn't feel right. May I also propose more sunbeds at the beach?

Nice resort, secure, medium size which is good, big room and comfortable.

Staff are overwhelmed and/or not trained enough. Checkin lasted more than 30 minutes. Pool always inaccesible due to overcrowding, food is poor quality. Hotel manager called and asked me to increase review grade, he seemed a nice and reasonable person and it seems he knows the areas which need improvement.

Very pleasent welcome from reception, room service and manager who gave us better room then original booking and welcome drink. All property is well maintained, pool area is not overcrowded like usualy which makes you chill and relax, pool water temperature is very good. Location is very calm. Very clean.

After our stay in 2022, my family and I chose Ilio Mare for a sea vacation again this summer. We were happy to see that the quality of service has been maintained over time. We had a peaceful vacation and left the hotel with a quite positive overall impression. The receptionist completed the check-in process quickly and with a smiling face. The suite room we stayed in was extremely large, spacious and clean. The ventilation system is strong. The balcony of the room is big enough for three people to sit comfortably. The beds are comfortable and orthopedic. The area where the hotel is located is very calm and quiet, free parking is possible right in front of the hotel. If you come to Thasos with your own car by ferries departing from Keramoti, you can reach the hotel after about 20 km from the port where you get off. If you prefer the ferries departing from Kavala instead of Keramoti, you can directly reach the Prinos area where the hotel is located. The restaurant capacity, decoration and presentation of the food is very successful. The variety at breakfast is quite sufficient. For dinner, there are always five or six main courses, one or two of which are seafood (our favorite). The flavor of the food is quite good, you will finish the products you take on your plate. At the pool and beach, there are constantly renewed clean beach towels, there are enough sun umbrellas and sun loungers for all guests. The entire beach and the sea are sandy, the sea does not deepen immediately, so it is suitable for families with small children. The bar staff serving the beach brings what you want immediately. There is a continuous and fast enough internet connection in almost every area of the hotel.

Excellent location, blue flag beach with cristal clear water with all the necessary beach amenities (free beach towels and sun beds which are always available). The breakfast and dinner which were included in the price had excellent food choices and were very tasty. The desing of the hotel is very modern and great for couple and families as well. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and the GM, Mr.George was always there at disposal.

It was all very well. Spacious room, cleaning is done daily, the staff was very friendly. The food was diversified and very well prepared. The hotel manager is a special person who provided all the necessary information for a very nice stay.

Breakfast and Dinner were great! Variety of foods to pick from. Staff was pleasant and helpful! The beach was amazing. We had a wonderful vacation and would come back!! Avgi Katchutas

Everything was wonderful.

Fantastic beach, no need for Maldives. Maldives is here in front of this hotel. Breakfast was perfect, the fruits were delicious and fresh. The sunset over sea and mountains was fabulous from the hotel’s lobby bar balcony. The pool of hotel and rooms were clear. The snacks served to beach (pizza, salad, beers, margarita…etc) were delicious. Many thanks to all hotel personnel, they were all friendly, smiling and respectful. Special thanks to Mr. George (G.M.of Ilio Mare). We are now a little bit impatient for our next stay in Ilio Mare Hotel. We are going to come back soon.

They had the most amazing staff, really kind people, the room was clean.

unfortunately the potential of the hotel and how nice the staff was were shadowed by the fact that the hotel needs a great renovation. lot of things from the hotel looked used, like the bathroom, the pool, the playground(really small and old). having small kids, the fact that the beach was on the other side of the road was a little dangerous when they have had any needs and hat to go to the room. also the restaurant and most of the areas were full of ants.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of tasty options. The hotel was clean and well-maintained. The staff and manager were very helpful and always greeted us with a smile. It was great to have free, soft, and clean towels available for use at the pool and beach. The service team at the beach were excellent, very polite, smiling and quick servicing. Our overall experience was fantastic, and we plan to book again in the future.

The extra bed for kids could have been improved. The clothes hanging bars on the balcony were rusted.
