Hotel Casona del Lago

Everything at this Hotel is amazingly Beautiful !!! The view 10/10 , food 10/10 , Rooms and beds clean and comfortable , Drinks 10/10 , my daughters loved their Cappuccino coffee Extremely recommended. Honestly one of the most beautiful hotels i have been in Peten Is 7 minuts walk to the bars and fun night areas , restaurants , taquerias and disco bars. 3 minutes in car ( just because of little traffic) But honestly is better to do a little drive / walk In that way at night time you can have the perfect peace and calm night.

Nice hotel on the coast of Peten Itza lake. Location is good, within walking distance to Flores town center. Stuff was polite and helpful, WiFi was working well. Food was good. Overall, it is a good place to stay in Flores.

Some rooms doesn't have an external window and we got one of these. Luckily, we moved to another room next day. The hotel should clearly state that there are some rooms without external window.

Nice view, jacuzzi, pool, comfortable bed.

Our bathroom got clogged 2x and nobody was there during the night to fix it, so our bathroom was clogged the 2 nights we spent there. I wish they have a comfort blanket. Poor breakfast. No hot chocolate in the hotel (only thing that I have in the morning) - even if I want to pay extra. Hot water only in the beginning of the shower. Hair dryer wasn’t working in the high power.

This is an attractive and well-managed hotel. We liked that it had sitting areas, from which you could look across the lake toward the town of Flores. Everything is very well-maintained and functioned correctly. We enjoy being able to order off a menu for breakfast, rather than just have a buffet. The staff were extremely friendly. All-in-all, this was a really nice place, and one to which we would return.

Nice courtyard with swimming pool. The food is quite good. The room is very spacious and the shower is big. The view from the swimming pool area is very nice on the like and the small island in front.

the bed linens were a bit yellowish so seemed not so clean. The sink did not drain well, also the WC is not flushing well. The road in front of the hotel is very loud so you need to close the windows at night.

Good breakfast that had a variety of options. The lunch/dinner menu was limited but the food was good. I liked not staying directly on the island which was trendy and busy. It was a nice walk over the causeway to reach the island for great dining experiences but at the hotel we got a view of the lake and island plus could easily visit the local markets and get an authentic Guatemalan experience.

We much enjoyed our 2 nights at this facility! In particular we enjoyed the location, the lake view, the swimming pool and sort-of-hot tub, and the restaurant. The free breakfasts were delicious and adequate in serving portions, and the restaurant service was excellent. I also like that they turned off the walkway lighting outside our room at around 10:30 to help keep the rooms a little darker. Wi-fi was solid throughout.

Breakfast was fine and staff were very accommodating when I asked for something different for my husband who was sick and had stayed back in the room. Loved the location and our room in particular. We had a wrap around balcony. Pool area very nice . It was a little dated but served the purpose of cooling off.

Breakfast items were very limited if you were vegan.

The location is not on the Flores island but directly a walking distance across with a beautiful view of lake Itatlan. This is a good thing because we were able to enjoy the island for most of the day and sleep quietly with out the island noise. Also our hotel was one of the best we came across in service appearance and luxury. The hotels I noticed located on the island look worn down, small and noisy and personally a little scary to walk around at night . La Casona Del Lago is spacious, quite, clean and the food was great. Our room was cleaned daily, with huge queen size beds for a family of three. The hotel has a bar with a beautiful view of the lake, the restaurant is clean and delicious we ate here everyday. the crew packed our breakfast because they new we were leaving early for our flight which meant to me they care about their guests and employees take pride in their job. I even booked another room for another family member and would stay here again. Really because we weren't far from anything and the hotel had everything we needed. Cold air conditioning, hot waters for showers, modern up to date and up to date toilets did not see or notice that the hotel was missing maintenance by any means even the pool was cleaned.

I did not like that the hotel only offers one key I think two would be better so we could come and go but at the same time we stayed together most of the trip so it did not affect our stay

Excellent location with a view of flores island. With quick/easy access across the causeway! Toured all around the area here and concluded we had definitely chosen the best place where to stay. Would reserve this property again!

The town itself is only worth a day or two, not much to see or do. Of course you're probably in transit, passing through to see the Mayan archeological site anyways. So thats just perfect!
