I came to find out The receptionist didn’t really answer most of my questions but I guess they answered them to the best of their knowledge, if they don’t know they need to say they are not sure but will go find someone who knows more.

customer service, it wasn’t bad it was a bit slow. overall we had a pleasant experience at the hotel!

This is an excellent hotel by any standard. The view alone makes it worth it! It is breathtaking, and the best in the city. The staff is welcoming and professional, and work hard to keep everything sparkling clean. The free breakfast is delicious, as is the food in the restaurant. The road is not dangerous as some other reviews have claimed; it is a two minute drive up a wide, paved road, most of which is walled off on both sides. No issue there. The no AC during the day also isn’t too bad given that there is a ceiling fan which mostly keeps the room cool. This was as good a hotel experience as I’ve had anywhere. Highly recommended!

Tasty Haitian breakfast. Need more variety since there are other nationalities visiting. The place is extremely clean and the view up on top of the mountain is to die for.

The road to get to the hotel needs to get fixed because it is extremely dangerous (Rocks fall on the road, slippery and muddy when it rains) Plus, at any given moment this road cannot accomodate two cars at the same time. If one is coming down, the other one has to wait otherwise it would be disastrous. Although the hotel is clean and extremely gorgeous, there are no forms of entertainment (gym/night club/live band) The only fun thing is the swimming pool and music from the bar.

This was primarily local food and it was delicious. The place was clean and the view was exceptional. Lunch and dinner were good and made of primarily local ingredients

There were a couple of things that need to be addressed: First, there’s no screen to the balcony doorway which allows mosquitoes to enter every time the door is open. Secondly, the air conditioning vent makes so much noise that we didn’t get restful sleep. Thirdly, we didn’t get enough towels and when we asked the manager (heavyset guy), we were ignored.

Satama Hotel is always the top on my list. Unfortunately, this time I only stayed there for 3 days, and I really wished I could spend my whole week there. I always stay at Satama whenever I visit Cap-Haitien. Their hospitality and warm welcome from all the staff await all the guests. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. The food is always a hit, so sumptuous. Satama is my home away from home, as usual my happy place. The only downfall is driving up and down the hill is a bit challenging and if you don't have a good car, It is very difficult. I never have an issue as long as you arrange transportation with them. You will be fine.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Satama. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but the hotel fits the Haiti decor with all the modern comfort. I am already making plans to stay there again my next time in Cap-Haitien.

Only 2 codes for Wi-Fi were given to us, one for my computer and one for my phone. One should expect that each person would have a phone; there was no Wi-Fi code for the other phone.

Breakfast was great

No wash clothes are offered in the rooms.. that’s really weird. No planned activities offered at the resort, bar menu should be offered in the rooms, massages or whatever is offered by the resort isn’t advertised or listed in rooms.

The view. The pool. The decor. The FOOD (fried calamari & grilled conch on repeat) The staff were soft spoken, attentive and polite. The breakfast buffet? Astounding! Actual authentic Haitian breakfast! Spageti, kassav ak mumba, and Haitian hot chocolate! I was in heaven and couldn’t stop eating.

How America portrays Haiti, as far as the hotel itself? Nothing, I do wish it was all inclusive but that’s only because I’m a glutton 😂.
