We had a wonderful stay ( 4 nights/ 5 days ) @ Umaid Mahal & got friendly service support by their staff.... Location is very calm as it's in Bani Park residential zone, we believe. All prime tourist places can be reached easily from here, as we got Auto, Cab/Taxi @ any time, whenever we came out. Dr. Shah Clinic & Dr. Lal Path Lab are very close-by/ walking distance only, if/when we need medical support. Apart from Hotel Menu, we tasted South Indian food (IDLI/ DOSA) @ Collectorate Circle, which is just few minutes walking distance from Hotel.... In a nutshell, we had a memorable stay here. Thanks to all staff @ UMAID MAHAL.....

Though we booked cab ( from Airport to Hotel ) one day b4 our trip, Umaid Mahal travel desk head ( Mr. Bhatia ) failed to arrange pick up cab @ Airport....then we managed to reach Hotel through Airport CAB. Recommending travelers to pick cab from Airport upon your arrival. It'd be a great support ( particularly to foreign nationals) & sign of professionalism , if Hotel Management offer FREE PICK UP & DROP services from Airport to Hotel...

The breakfast was yummy and the reception staff, especially Mahal , were very helpful…your Greeter in the Carpark, deserves kudos, as he was hospitable the moment you arrived at the hotel via vehicle…

Nothing of real significance, but as I have worked as housekeeping in hotels in London( 5 years)…I will share my experience.. …the bathroom glass window still has the sales writing on it …the bathroom does not have a soap dish …the space between the bed and the desk it too narrow …there are marks on the wall around a few paintings …there is some mold on the right hand side of the bed..in the corner …no instructions for the use of the TV..

The hotel is very pretty and our rooms were large. Bathroom had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. We also had heat which was unusual and much needed in January. There was cultural dancing in the evening. The dancer and musicians were very good. I wish the hotel had a better space for the performers as the restaurant is too cramped. We ate a nice diner at Rasa a rooftop restaurant at a nearby hotel which we walked to. We had great service there. Highly recommend going here if you are staying at Umaid Mahal. Besides this we didn't explore the neighborhood and had a driver taking us to all the sites.

The extra bed is very hard and not comfortable. The restaurant food was average and they did not seem to understand gluten free foods.

Stay and ambience was good

Person at reception was discriminative between Indians and foreigners... And when i requested to have equal attitude towards everyone, he said that, that won't be possible and he would be definitely be more kind and favorable towards foreigners than Indians... Which was worst

This hotel was exceptional. In fact, it was my favourite place I stayed in India. It was utterly stunning. I was mesmerised by the interior design. The murals, the colours and the textures. I really would recommend this hotel for a real luxurious Indian experience. You truly feel like Royalty. We loved the grand door! The room was fantastic, with a dressing room, balcony and comfortable bed. The hotel sorted us with a fantastic driver called Mannu, who took us around Jaipur. I had a real spiritual connection to this city. Umaid Mahal was a great place to relax after a busy day in the city. You can switch off and have some peace. The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. A unique experience. Thank you for a memorable stay. I will definitely be returning again soon!

Good selection at breakfast - both Indian and Continental. The rooftop restaurant was amazing. They had Rajasthani entertainment (dancing, singing and drums- traditional style) during dinner time. The room was a really good size for the 3 of us. A quiet location (which is great for a good night's sleep after a long day) but very close to train station and also to get to the main Jaipur attraction by tuk tuk or taxi. We also liked the cultural/heritage displays throughout he hotel. The pool is small but well maintained- my little one (6) enjoyed splashing about for half an hour

I stayed at this property almost a decade ago. Rooms are nice, location is good,staff at breakfast/restaurant are polite.

Breakfast is very average and really needs some variety. Thankfully they had a good coffee which was a surprise, otherwise it's mostly oily Indian breakfast with the only option to have eggs of choice. Overall I thought it's a bit expensive for what one gets as there are lots of options around at reasonable prices. Taxis from the hotel are expensive and I decided to use Ola which was much cheaper for auto or taxis..

The place is amazing from outside and astonishing from the inside!! The furnitures give to the place an amazing touch, even the toilets are super nice with black stone walls.

Rooms are dirty. We had a sofa super thin and full of stains where in theory one of us was supposed to sleep. Same problem our friends had in the other rooms we reserved. Once we reached the reception to point out the problem, they told us "do not worry WE COVER IT"!!! As it was something normal. We were shocked. Mattresses are very thin too. It's a pity cause the place it's very nice.

Superb setup. Good welcome from all the staff. Super clean throughout - to a high standard not just the main parts. Stayed in a family room (4 of us) children aged 7 and 14 loved it. Plenty of room and the youngest loved sleeping in the window sofa bed. Water pressure in the room was the best I’ve seen at any hotel (including Dubai). Staff were attentive without being overbearing. Made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Small pool but perfect size for our kids - the us was a bonus.

The Sky Box didn’t work but we never told the hotel as we didn’t come to watch tv

I didn't like the driver and vehicle provided to me.. He guided us to 3 shops. Where we bought some shoes, blankets, and many other things with 10 times high price, which we confirmed in Bapu bazar. I made sure that the driver got commission from that shop that's why he guided us. So I suggest all customer please don't believe this type of driver or any other hotel associated person for marketing. Thank you.
