The staff and service were brilliant everyone was friendly and very helpful. Is it situated close to town so easily accessible. The food was marvellous with a huge variety of quality dishes. The room we had was spacious and clean.

I think management should pay attention to cleanliness and general upkeep - The Raviz is a beautiful property however the stairs hadn't been cleaned and there was dried food on the occasion I did use the stairs. Small things like keeping windows and doors clean are important when a hotel is advertised as a 5star property.

there are currently two buildings for raviz. one is the old old one which is awesome in all means. The guest will get the ambience of ashtamudi lake and the feel of traditional kerala house.I stayed in this building long back. this time I got the New building and it’s not at all upto the mark. Like any other hotel room (can’t call the new building a resort) it’s just a room inside a concrete building.

We visited this property after a long road trip with several excellent stops at brilliantly pleasant hotels along the way. So, it was a hard act for Leela Ashtamudi to follow, but nonetheless, the property impressed us immensely. The reception at the porch all the way to the being ensconced in the room was flawless. Our boxes simply arrived in the room, and the car was valet parked in the basement (out of the tropical sunshine). The staff here do this property much credit, and every one of them did their utmost to assist and please. But if you ask me what the best aspect of this hotel is, it is the flow of public spaces, its excellent position on the lakeside, it's brilliantly shaded and landscaped property, and the general sense of space and breeze. Yes, the breeze needs special mention as it is a guaranteed feature of the lakeside position. The breeze funnels through the public sitting areas in a way that is simply awesome. The room we had was simply cavernous, like a church converted for our exclusive use. The space and layout of the wardrobes, toilets and bathroom were rather unique and expansive. Loved it.

The AC controls were not that effective, and most of the time, the AC dropped temperatures too low for comfort. Also the light switches were intended to remove the confusion of multiple switches, but did not work all too satisfactorily

Stunning reception space and beautiful seating areas on each floor. Lovely views across the water. Boat rides from the hotel dock. Excellent range of quality food. Staff were faultless in their attentiveness and desire to please.

Check event calendar before booking: some hotel based seminars or local independent celebrations can be quite noisy well into the night..if .firecrackers and loud music are not your thing, it would be wise to plan your dates with prior knowledge. The pool area is very serene...more umbrellas needed for the number of guests.

The hotel is located on the lake, so is very peaceful. The staff were very helpful in organising cars and activities for us during our stay in Kollam. The bar and restaurant had many food and drink options,which were delicious, and the swimming pool, table tennis and pool table gave us plenty of things to do during our stay. The rooms are very nice and spacious, with comfortable beds.

The location is quite far from any other restaurants/attractions, so you will need to have a vehicle to navigate if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. The floating restaurant of the hotel was very scenic however, did not provide vegetarian options. The gym could do with some updating, with A/C and provision of towels and water bottles.

all good, but probably not the in the top 5 of indian leela hotels. in the detail many things not perfect i have a feeling their is a lazy manager. staff is good. location really good.breakfast, excellent room spacious with nice few. but for the price its an 8 some minor mistakes for example i asked on checkout for room service bill but their was none, whilel i had roomservice no big problem but a mistake, molt in bathroom should not be in a five star, empty battery weight scale, tv in room not working, so overall all not perfect but beautifull place

breakfast spread could have been better, non veg menu very little. also staff doesn’t seem to be very attentive. phone calls to different desks not answered quick. Staff doesn’t seems to be very committed to their work as they look for excuses to avoid guest genuine requirements Pool area was not clean and no pool attender available. No Sauna, steam or Jacuzzi available as they claims this property is 5*

Awesome! Excellent staff who went out of their way to make our stay a most memorable experience. Daily afternoon free boat trip around the lake was a fab experience. Followed by a chaikadda(Kerala style tea shop) with tea, coffee and snacks. Chaikadda located outdoors near the jetty. Sumptuous buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Spacious, clean room.overlooking lake and swimming pool. Pool was clean, large and relaxing I enjoyed the Swedish massage at the huge spa located on the premises. The travel coordinator Preetha was efficient at arranging our trips to nearby places - Elephant Park(a wonderful experience), Mata Amrita Ashram, Munroe Island, Lighthouse - all places not to be missed Overall a most enlightening refreshing experience.

Room did not have sufficient cupboard space for clothes and stuff to be stored

Friendly & helpful staff - security, front office, restaurant & housekeeping. The vibe of the resort was amazing. The view of the kaayal was breathtaking. Breakfasts in the mornings was extra special with this view. Excellent spread of breakfast with live counter as well. Dinner option was great as well.

In spite of the huge choice for breakfast, felt repetitive on day 2 itself. There was painting and other touch up work happening on our floor late in to the evening as well. There was no disturbance but could have been kept to 5 pm max.
