Good hotel in central location with excellent restaurants on 6th floor and on rooftop

Very poor WiFi in room: signal good in lobby and restaurants but unusable in our room. We had local data package so not a huge problem, but at this hotel's pricepoint disappointing in comparison to other hotels in Tamil Nadu that we've stayed in on this trip. We reported problem to reception, but no improvement in WiFi signal

This is a really comfortable hotel in a great location with a lovely rooftop restaurant and basement permit bar. Breakfast included. All very good overall.

We did not realise that it is 24 hour check-in so having arrived off an overnight bus we had to leave the room at 6am on the day of departure or pay for another entire day. It would be good if a smaller additional charge were available for a late check out.

Convenient to train station and it’s the tallest building in the City. Quiet room requested in back was nice and comfortable, so slept well. Roof restaurant and terrace was nice, but breakfast room pretty sterile and had to struggle to find clean table. Meenakshi temple sights and spirituality is a worthwhile experience, but you can’t take photos, and entrances a bit confusing (go to east side entrance and check your shoes)

Streets around hotel are pretty chaotic and neighborhood towards the temple pretty gritty, even by Indian city standards, but there is pleasant car free road buffer around temple. Transport desk at hotel only assisted me only once I was there( wouldn’t quote a taxi fare in advance…) with onward taxi/car to Pondicherry and I felt price was way too high (almost 2x compared to ride Apps that I could check but couldn’t use without Indian credit card) and noticed hotel agent took about half the big fare when paying the driver. Felt like egregious tourist (and driver) gouging, especially as we were some of only Western tourists in the City.

Excellent stay at Royale suite. Comfortable room, nice king size bed and additional Diwan bed in the suite. Ample storage, toiletries, tea/coffee sachets provided. Kettle present in room as well. Bathroom is spacious with tub and clean. Location is in town centre, walking distance to west entrance of Meenakshi temple. Staff is polite and courteous as well. They were accommodating with check-in checkout. Breakfast is complimentary and is superb! Variety is limited but food is tasty. Rooftop dining experience for dinner was great. Lunch also is reasonable, made to order and has enough variety.

Being town center it's a bit noisy. Suite should accommodate family of 4, it only accommodates 3 due to the Diwan. For 4th person you have to pay extra for the bed.

AC and Wi-fi worked well. TV was good too (though I couldn't find any programs in English). Room was extremely comfortable, with nice bathroom to boot. Good restaurant, with choice of Indian and western items. Beer too! Free breakfast included.

Main entrance to hotel difficult to find on street (taxi driver had to circle two or three times before finding it).

We were there to visit the Meenakshi temple with family hence the proximity to the temple was a big plus. The rooms were clean and staff were courteous and helpful. The roof top dining is pleasant.

1. We had to wait for 30 mins to check in even though we reached at 3pm and check in time was 12pm. 2. Some of our housekeeping requests were slightly delayed. 3. The buffet breakfast spread is small and decent but could improve in terms of taste.

Very close to the Madurai Railway station also to the Meenakshi Temple . Staff are polite , security staff helped to catch auto and was helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good and worth

Nothing I felt was happy with the service

Very efficiently run hotel with a great rooftop restaurant and diligent staff. The rate I paid made it very good value. I also really like getting the newspaper in the morning.

Wifi was very unreliable and unstable. My room had a filthy window and a view blocked by a giant external air conditioning unit. The view from the restaurant makes up for it I suppose.

Staff. They did all they could to make my stay enjoyable

Noise. But it was temporary due to construction

Good hotel. Close to the Meenakshi temple. In the heart of the city. Excellent location if you are traveling by train or bus as it is next to the station and bus station. We travelled by car and there is parking available.

No safe or fridge in the room. Room service is a bit sloppy.
