The location is right up close under the fort, in the narrow streets of the blue city. You are right in the middle of things: the fort, the blue buildings, the markets are close by, yet convenient for the train station. Inside this multi-level Haveli has genuine unspoiled rooms and decor, original small arched windows with shutters, a lovely rooftop restaurant as well as a breakfast area on the first floor. The bed was comfortable and no problems with hot water or Wi-Fi. The food is vegetarian and very tasty and well presented. I’m a meat lover but really enjoyed the meat-free dishes. The staff were excellent, and really made me feel welcome.

Nothing not to like, there’s two small temples close by so it can be noisy at festivals, but that’s why you come to India, right?

Absolutely beautiful old building, nicely decorated rooms and warm, genuine hotel staff. The location couldn't have been better - very atmospheric but away from the touristy centre, so there was no hassle. It was in a very authentic neighbourhood yet close to the fort and everything else.

I wouldn't do the 'village safari' with their tour guide again - he seemed uninterested / playing on his phone the whole time and didn't converse much. This wasn't the hotel's fault though, but yea look around and find someone else for the tour.

We had a wonderful three night stay at Singhvi’s Haveli and felt truly welcomed by Suvin and the whole team. The rooftop views are as good (if not better) than any bar we went to in Jodhpur, and you’re free to chill out up there at your own leisure and order drinks and snacks from the kitchen (including beer!). We enjoyed watching the eagles circle above the city and the sun setting. The guest house is situated in a really good location. It is just on the other side of the fort meaning it’s so easy to visit but also is a lot quieter and peaceful for ambling around the streets of the old town - and it’s quiet at night too. A special shout out to the kitchen team. We stayed in for a delicious meal (bringle and paneer curries with butter roti) and they were fantastic. We also enjoyed their breakfasts with freshly squeezed OJ and fruit and nut kulfis (homemade we think) in the afternoon. On early check out (6.30am) the team had ordered us a rickshaw to the airport and were waiting to see us out. We wouldn’t normally spend anywhere near as much time in our accommodation as we did in Jodhpur, but the welcoming and relaxed nature of Singhvi’s Haveli, plus all of the amenities and beauty it provided, meant that we didn’t really want to leave. A gem of a place! Wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else.

Our stay was exceptional and Sunil was a great host, who made us feel extremely comfortable as soon as we arrived. The whole place is stunning, well maintained and creatively decorated following the standards of a Rajasthani history. The food was really good, among the best we had in Rajasthan. This Haveli also has a terrace and a rooftop with amazing views over Jodhpur and the fort. Location is great, 15 mins walk to the city centre but only reachable by tuk tuk.

Apart from Sunil, was a bit difficult to communicate in English with the staff. The neighbourhood is a bit rough with lots of straight dogs and cows, but this is just how Jodhpur is really.

Offbeat location, had to park the car some 15kms away, no food options in surrounding area, extremely crowded and narrow gullies, tourist locations far from Hotel, typically not a pro-tourist area, as if like old Delhi's crowded local market

Room was large with great view and nice terrace with table and chairs outside. We had the top floor newer room which was comfortable but wall decoration was a bit on the kitsch side 🙂. Not as refined as in the older rooms but not a problem. it was nice to be able to sit on the upstairs terraces as well. Very good non-touristy location in old town. Good spot for walking up to the fort and wandering through the old town. Food was ok but a little pricey for the quality - but it’s regular tourist prices. Particular praise for the very kind, helpful and friendly Nepali member of staff - a lovely man.

Nothing else

The room was spacious and well maintained. The staff were super helpful and adhered to all our needs. They even helped us book village tours and auto walas for our daily commute.

We did feel that the room could have been prepared better. When we entered we spotted a few mosquitoes. The linen and towels could do with better maintenance. The area during monsoons is extremely dirty and it is quite a task to reach the property (so the location gets negative points)

The star of the show with this hotel is the rooftop views. You can relax and eat/drink up there and the super friendly staff will bring you anything you need. The restaurant is really reasonably priced and they have good menu variation (all vegetarian, as is the theme in Rajasthan). The sunset is beautiful from there, you have 360° panoramic views of the city and amazing view of the fort. Singhvi’s definitely has the best view in Jodhpur. The Haveli itself is old, traditional and beautiful and the staff do well in maintaining this fairly large property. The rooms are clean, have beautiful murals on the walls and are nicely furnished. AC works well given the intense heat. The staff are all really friendly and kind. It is a 12 minute walk to the top of the fort from here, ignore maps as it states it takes longer than it does. Bring water though as it’s steep and not shaded.

There are no other restaurants (and barely even any shops) near to the property so we had to walk pretty far to experience other restaurants and foods. The streets are narrow and dirty, and bikes and tuktuks also use them so I wouldn’t recommend walking at night as it could be dangerous if they don’t see you. We enjoy trying new restaurants and we weren’t wowed by the food from Singhvi’s so this was a shame for us, but not the hotels fault regarding their location and would still absolutely recommend Singhvi’s Haveli.

we fell in love with this place, magical! highly decorated room, communal areas had old fashioned charm and styled perfectly. food was wonderful, we ventured out to find alternative one evening but quickly returned knowing the food was great. one staff member in particular who was the main server was just delightful, happy to chat and couldn’t do enough to help. sorted out a driver to take us onto Udaipur with no fuss. location in the heat of the old town and within a five minute walk up to the fort couldn’t be better.

this is a 500 yr old property so rough around the edges. if you are expecting modern, pristine accommodation this won’t be for you. we, however just loved it.

The staff were very hospitable and they complied with all of our requests. They were kind enough to prepare special food for our one year old. The location of the hotel is big plus, in the blue city itself making it accessible to nearby tourist places. Amazing room, wonderful staff!
