The hotel building is beautiful! Rooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast has a wide selection of both Asian and Western options.

The location looks good on the map, but the walk towards the old town is very unpleasant; especially with children and especially at night. Our first morning’s breakfast was a bit chaotic; it was understaffed and especially the egg and nasi goreng stations had frequent staff changes and no order transfers between staff members. The two other morning’s breakfasts were smoother.

Very spacious room big bed, comfortable mattress, and elastic pillows. Quiet and comfortable air conditioning system. Comfortable shower room with good water pressure and a marble bench. A clean pool and a cozy green courtyard where collective meditations are held in the mornings. A varied breakfast, there is something to choose from, including the usual Europeans - without an excess of spices and hot peppers. Interesting hotel location in the old town, and the main museums are within walking distance.

If you arrived from the European time zones, then take rooms with a view of the courtyard because, in the evening, the locals sing karaoke on the embankment - beautiful but noisy.

Very modern, clean room and entire building. Large bathroom, comfortable bed. No damage at all in room, perfect condition. Breakfast buffet was a nice mix of western and asian foods. Great value for money!

Pilows were all the same type -- very thick, artificial cotton filling (can't press in). Too bulky. Should have asked for a different type. Also, no hand soap in the room. Spa was fully booked and the hotel recommended an alternative that was 30 mins drive away, so couldn't get a massage. Could not go to gym without closed toe sneakers (no even to do a little bit of my own routine). 730 am yoga in the courtyard wakes everyone up because it is loud and can hear it from the rooms.

beds were comfortable, very nice choice of breakfast and the pool was very pleasant. aircon work well and wifi was good. location walking distance to cafe Batavia. easy to reach from airport.

maybe bathroom was a little smelly…but everything was nice and staff were very kind and attentive.

It was very good that I could check in early in the morning, so I could get some sleep after 36 hours of flying. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very extensive with a lavish buffet. All in all it was good. I also took a massage and went to the sauna (see dislikes).

After 1h 45min massage (although I paid for 2h) I wanted to go to the sauna. However, it was only 55°C and thus unfortunately much too cold. At the same time, there is no relaxation room after the sauna. Also, immediately after the sauna I then suddenly had to pay (half-naked) for the previous massage - no idea why this couldn't happen later. It seemed to me that the staff were afraid that I would just leave without paying as I had already checked out. It all felt very strange.

Breakfast was good the first two mornings. On the third morning, it almost looked like they were running low on food. It appeared there were more guests on the first two mornings so maybe they only prepare food based on the number of guests they expect. Variety was good and I didn't find any problem finding food I liked. I booked a stay here because a tour I was joining was supposed to be staying here. Just two days before I left for my tour, I was notified that the hotel for the tour had changed. Because my reservation was nonrefundable, I went ahead and stayed here. I was a single woman traveling alone and the neighborhood looked rather sketchy for walking around. So, unfortunately, I did not go exploring.

I didn't really have any issues with the property. The staff was great and very helpful in assisting me in getting a taxi to take me to the other hotel when my stay was over. I was disappointed that the neighborhood didn't appear to be safe to walk around as a single woman. The hotel is located in OLD Java, so it might have been OK but one of the hotel staff did warn about the dangers of walking in the city due to the traffic. When I took the cab as I left, the traffic is CRAZY!

I made this reservation for my elderly parents traveling on their own from our hometown. I wanted to make sure that they can travel smoothly especially from the airport to the hotel so I made a phone call directly and was guided by Ms.Citra (the hotel reservation office) who helped to make a reservation at the Golden Bird Taxi. All the staffs were extraordinarily kind and helpful. They with no hesitation were willing to help my parents wholeheartedly. The room was always kept clean. The location was good too nearby the Old City of Jakarta. All in all, I heard from my parents that they had an enjoyable stay. Thank you.

This was a fantastic place to stay. The hotel arranged a cab from the airport which worked out very well. Our room was beautiful with a comfortable bed. The hotel itself is gorgeous and located in a historic part of town. A very extensive breakfast was included in the room rate. There are many facilities like a pool and work out room. Best of all, the staff were absolutely delightful, friendly and helpful. They let us check out late and stored our luggage while we explored the lovely old town and exceptional national museum. We loved our stay and would love to stay here again.

Beautiful historic building with very comfortable rooms. Although it was very noisy in the street market across the road at night, the rooms were quiet. Excellent staff at reception and in the restaurant. The food selection for breakfast and on the evening menu was outstanding. The swimming pool was a delight and the gardens beautiful.

The service at the swimming pool bar was extremely slow. The location was a little out of the way and the area is not that nice.

This is an institutional hotel that looks like a clinical fortress, but inside it is quite stylish and also feels accessible and comfortable. The hotel is airy, spotless, and private - for the quietest rooms, getting a room facing inside the courtyard. The hotel has great facilities, such as a weight room and big pool. Most importantly, it is the only quality accommodation option for the historic Kota Tua area, which allows you to walk everywhere.

The buffet breakfast is expensive and somewhat mediocre, but there are not great eating options in the immediate area, so it is convenient anyway.
