Amazing view, room was so nice, staff were absolutely amazing. View is spectacular and the pool was right out your back door step.

Kitchen staff and people who would bring our food would not wash their hands after using the restroom. We saw two of their staff walk out from the toilet and walk right past the sink that was situated outside. One even wiped his hands off on the turf floor indicating that he probably wiping urine off his hands. Really disturbing given that these people were the exact ones handling our food and preparing our drinks.

Property is amazing, staff wonderful and so helpful.

It is a fair way from the main strip, there is a shuttle to mambo beach from but unless you’re hiring a bike it’s a trek for anyone planning to walk

The property was everything and more. We loved the boutique style accommodation. The rooms were just lovely. We all loved the style of accommodation, my husband and I had the ground floor which was amazing, having access outside your door to that gorgeous pool with those stunning views. I especially loved all the plants. It made it feel homely. The staff were so friendly, Tasha our main waitress was just so wonderful, a big shout out to her. Her English was very good and she coped very well with our drinks and food requests . She also told us some great “Dads jokes” when we had a short power cut.

The property was amazing nothing to dislike. However , the breakfast could do with a rethink. Maybe a tea and coffee self serve station, as the wait for drinks were slow. Unfortunately we had a few cold breakfasts and had to wait a while. Maybe a toast and jam self serve station would work better. With a cooked breakfast to order.

Beautiful resort, beautiful view and comfortable facilities. Various breakfast options and great restaurant menu for lunch and dinner. It is possible to have massage at your room (it happens in your bed). There are many free shuttle rides to their beach resort where happens live music events. On arrival we got a small present with some essentials and their self-made cosmetic products. Staff is very helpful. WiFi is great. Room had very good, powerful hairdryer. TV has some channels. We felt here comfortable and safe, very happy about our choice.

Resort is in nature. There are geckos that climbs the walls and makes loud gecko sounds and there are quite loud rooster singing noises in the sunrise (when they sang all together it was a bit horrifying). Down the hill was some fire happening (staff told us: cleaning work), as we inspected, locals burnt old leaves and rubbish and smoke were coming to our resort. In the first day it was a bit hard to breath. Of course all of these were not resorts fault. Soundproofing could be better, especially in bathroom.

Such a special place! The view from the rooms is incredible -- photos can't capture it. We loved our room, so beautifully designed and very clean/confortable. Relaxing on the balcony outside and going for casual swims in the pool was so serene and peaceful. The staff are wonderful.- very friendly and so helpful. You can book a driver through the hotel to take you on a tour of the West & the East- we did the West & had such a brilliant day. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

The menu is the same at the hotel and the beach resort. It would be great to have more variety. The non alcoholic cocktails were amazing but definitely room for improvement on the signature cocktails. Breakfast was OK, but compared to the usual standard across Bali, could be better.

Clean, interesting decor, swimming lap pool just outside of the front window, good amenities goodie bag, decent breakfast.

Property has misleading pictures of another property located at the beach. Both properties are developed in similar design and style. So easy to confuse. Pictures showing Mambo beach property implying that it is close to the ocean beach should be removed from mambo hill resort booking account as it deceives people into believing they are booking beach front property. In fact hill property is quite far away up hill from the main road where most action is.

The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking, we had the lower room so direct access to the pool, I genuinely haven’t stayed in a nicer place before. This was my third time in Bali and I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. What a beautiful location, couldn’t fault it. The restaurant menu had good choices and we enjoyed the coffee, great choices for the free breakfast too.

It wasn’t a problem for us because we hired a scooter but I can imagine this being a bit of a pain to get to if you were to walk, plus there isn’t any street lights on Nusa Penida so if you’re planning on coming with no form of transport around the island I would strongly suggest against it

This unique gem is a place we couldn't tear ourselves away from which is why we extended our stay from 1 to 3 nights. The whole experience has been so special from the first to the last second. The place itself is outstanding, lying secluded on a hill surrounded by greenery and with a 180 degree view of the sea. You have a majestic view of Gunung Agung from the terrace/pool, which you also reach directly from the room if you live on the ground floor. Don't be put off by the fact that the location is a bit higher up from the main road, the hotel offers a free shuttle several times to and from their sister hotel closer to the beach. Otherwise, the hotel provides the opportunity to rent a scooter for a good price, which we did, as we appreciate the freedom of being able to get around independently. Now to the very special and most important part - the staff and service. Speaking of details and that little something extra, Mambo Hill resort has figured out exactly how to make its guests feel cared for, looked after and comfortable. My impression is that the staff feel good and this is reflected in how they behave towards each other and towards their guests. Friendly, attentive, happy, well-read and warm. The hotel itself is an interior dream, beautifully decorated rooms and hundreds of plants make one's senses rejoice. The breakfast options are numerous and absolutely superb, as are the drinks which are enjoyed at a favorable price during happy hour! Last but not least - in each room there is a goodie bag with hygiene items (hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, sunscreen, lip balm, etc.) which can make even the grumpiest person smile :) Shower soap and shampoo are specially developed for the hotel, fragrance notes that make one's senses travel to the Mediterranean hooray! Tip for light sleepers, bring earplugs to keep out sounds from creaking footsteps. Looking forward to come back within a near future!

We felt welcome from the beginning to the end. When you enter your room, you feel amazed by it's beauty, and the unexpected ocean view overlooking a big part of Bali. It is even more beautifull than on the pictures. We loved the cooperation between the 2 hotels Mambo Hill and Mambo Beach, and the free shuttle service. Mambo Beach is on a beautifull beach and has amazing snorkeling possibilities, fishes and coloured coral right from the beach Good food and drinks, it has a perfect beach vibe. Personnel is very friendly and most willing to help and make you have a perfect stay. From arranging the collection at the port of arrival, till the drop off at the departure port. A big thank to the full team! Amazing service, we have never experienced this before. We would love to come back, and we highly recommend this place

The hotel is in a quieter area (away from the harbour) on a hill with amazing views over to Mount Agung (Bali). The room was very clean and comfortable with incredible decor. The hotel is also a good size (not too big but not too small) with a long narrow pool looking out to that view.

The F&B pricing was a little steep for what it was. Around the pool and bar/restaurant area was an infestation of some kind of caterpillars (probably to do with rainy season but staff didn’t seem to deal with them at all). The TV has no channels (you would need to have your own access to local Apps or just watch YouTube). It would be very difficult to get anywhere from this hotel without your own transportation.
