Located on a hilltop, the property is massive. Our villa was ginormous. The infinity pool has some great views overlooking the ocean. The room was spotless. Ample greenery in the hotel premises. The place was calm and soothing. They had a buggy (charged at 50K IDR per trip) to take you down the hill to the market/harbour which was convenient. The location of the hotel is great, very close to the Toyah Pakeh harbour and a whole bunch of restaurants once you descend the hill.

The villa was unnecessarily large and it felt like most of the space was wasted. The inside decor did not feel warm and lacked a certain personal touch. There was no phone in the room and even though they did provide their Whatsapp details for room service, getting in touch with the staff for basic stuff (such as missing toiletries) was a bit of a task. The staff, while friendly, lacked a certain warmth that one has come to expect from hotels in and around Bali. The food at the restaurant was average. Overall, the place felt more like a clichéd old country club rather than a boutique Balinese experience.

Staff were so friendly and made sure we had everything we wanted. All staff were excellent, but, July, one of waitresses took care of us very well, and even brought some cassava for us. This food wasn’t on the menu, but as our request because it’s a local food in our country too. It was a wonderful time at Semabu.

Some of amenities on our room were aged, like walls and floor of toilet. Also to check-out was very hard, as we weren’t able to pay by card due to offline system at that moment.

Beautiful pool with a great view, very helpful staff members. Breakfast in the morning was great, very convenient having it nearby. Big bathrooms with 2 benches - great for sharing as a couple. Room was as expected but nothing extravagant

Not a lot within walking distance, but the cheap hotel shuttle makes up for it. Sliding doors did not close perfectly, therefore some mosquitoes could get in. While we were there, reception offered another guest to get staff to come around with insect spray to help deal with mosquitoes, we did not ask for the same service as it wasn't too big an issue though.

Loved the swimming pools both with stunning views to watch the sunset! Great breakfast! Clean room and the bathroom was inside which was great. Very comfy bed. Really quiet at night so slept well. And there was a plug beside the bed always a bonus to charge phone.

The staff weren’t very helpful at reception when I checked in and there was confusion with my booking after 20 minutes talking to 3 people finally I asked to speak to the manager and she sorted it instantly! Wish I’d spoke to her straight away. Also when booking taxi to leave they said no availability at reception which was not helpful at all. So I called a taxi myself from outside. Also a little over priced. Besides that great!

We had a amazing stay at Semabu Hills hotel. Great/frendly staff, tasty food at restarant , huge room with pool access- everythink what we needed was there! To top it off, we met one of the hotel's dogs (black and white with a bit of a lame paw) , we fell in love immediately! She spendet most days playing in our room and she missed being scratched. Adorable doggy! Thanks for caring!

Unfortunately on the last day I noticed a big cockroach on the floor in the room, unfortunately I didn't like it. But I understand that this is not the hotel's fault, because I have now seen them in other places in Bali (restaurants, hotels, etc.)

We both loved this gorgeous cute little hotel. The staff were welcoming and so accommodating and the pools were next level. Most of the time we were the only ones in them. The rooms are a little basic, but have everything you need. Meals were great. It's a great location for a couple of night to see the sights of this beautiful Island. Next time I would stay in one of the Villas overlooking the pool. The views are gorgeous.

Didn't love the chanting, but you get used to it.

One of the exceptional, beautiful and outstanding resorts in the Remote islands of Nusa Penida! The view from our rooms and the pool was very scenic and seems postcard perfect(Mount Agung views).Staffs very very friendly, always smiling and ready to help.Resort arranged drops off to the harbour and also bike rentals..Rooms are top class with comfy beds with all ameneties! One thing to mention is the food-Excellent quality tasty food with room service.I would like to thank and share my gratitude to the management of the resort for managing such an amazing resort in this remote part of the world! Value for Money indeed!

Nusa Penida Port pickup could have been better coordinated with Hotel staffs.Also guest could have been informed about the ferry/timings from Sanur Port and could have been offered tickets at some discounted price as compared to the counter tickets..As many touts/agents haggling tourist for ferry tickets at Sanur Port..

The hotel is beautiful: the location, the rooms, the garden, the pools are great. The staff is very friendly. The view from the hotel to mount Agung is something I will remember

The English knowledge of the staff could be improved, I expect it much better for a 4 star hotel. Also the restaurant is a little bit overpriced for the quality they gave, tough there are dishes that are quite good, but for example the pizza for the kids were looked like a deep-frozen one.

Two amazing swimming pools with views looking back towards the Bali mainland, allows for a relaxing afternoon Spacious rooms, our room was in its own standalone building Staff were excellent and all tours / boys etc can be organised through them at reception Breakfast was very good with different options to choose from Organise with the staff to pick you up from the boat upon arrival

Beds were very hard, no give in the mattress at all. There was a smell coming from the bathroom, the plumbing might have had an issue
