Lovely resort for a couple or family looking for a beach holiday. Staff are incredibly friendly and polite; like nowhere else I have ever been. The buildings and gardens are very pretty and there is enough space for the resort to feel quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was excellent, with absolutely anything one could want, and nice views over the pool to the beach. Room was big; with a nice balcony & huge comfortable bed. Fixtures & fittings could do with a bit of TLC but we just showered and slept there. Located right on the beach, with so many dining options within 10 min stroll along the 'boardwalk'. Overall, a classy, peaceful and attractive resort that we definitely recommend for a relaxing week in the sun.

Maybe a bit pricey, but it is a lovely environment, the staff are fabulous, and you are right on the beach. So that may be harsh. One thing to watch for. They take a deposit against your card at check in, they then charge the full amount at check out, but the deposit is not refunded to your card for 2 weeks. Effectively you pay twice at check out. Seems like a strange practice so best have the money in your account to cover that.

This is a very large resort with two beautiful pools and it’s own very large beach area. The breakfast was very extensive and delicious. The staff went out of their way to make our wedding anniversary a special day. The lights in the room were fabulous (it can be dark in some of the older resorts); but our room had plenty of light!

The ONLY thing that could be improved is the walk-in shower. The drainage was very poor, so we could only open the tap at its minimal setting to avoid having a flood. However we were told that the resort is older than 20 years and they are going to renovate.

Honestly, we read so many reviews and they pretty much sum it up. Everything is just ‘ok’. The staff are lovely & it’s close to the beach (which is not enjoyable to swim in!) The pool water is clean. There are 2 pools & the one further away from the beach is by far the better (and warmer) one. It’s secure & safe. And the staff are pleasant. The cafe next door called Genius is delish.

The property is tired & needs a decent upgrade. The pool area is basic (and on the first day we accidentally wandered into the hotel next door - so ended up using their pool a handful of towns which was much better suited to kids! Prama). The food is average. What they are doing currently in terms of upgrades is solely the roofing to ensure water tightness or similar. The bed is 2 king singles zipped together & is uncomfortable if you’re in the middle. This all sounds harsh. But it was basic, and everything was ok (not great). Next time we’d stay next door at Prama (which is actually a touch cheaper) .. puri Satarini (however you spell it) a few doors away - if the budget allows.

While a little older than other hotels around, I loved the true tropical resort look and feel of individual thatched units. It was very clean everywhere, the staff were charming and friendly. Make sure you book into the spa, I had a fantastic massage and would have tried every other offering if I had had the time - especially the hair treatment! The bed was enormous! The Aquafitness session was hilarious and a real bonus.

The bathrooms could do with a refresh and the TV options aren’t great. It took me a long time to find the online compendium and more information about what was going on in the resort would have been good. The food was ok. Having arrived after a bout of sickness I only wanted plain food and the options weren’t great. But these are minor things.

Long established property but despite being a bit dated it’s in great location and being renovated and refreshed after the covid lockdown! Wonderful staff, very quiet part of Sanur and great beach area at the front! Lots of local cafes and restaurants next door

Needs some maintenance as we found some broken tiles and stained curtains.

I’ve stayed a few times now and feel so comfortable here. Love the welcome you get, the friendliness of the staff, comfortable beds, layout of the resort, lovely pools, 2 big bottles of water per day put in my room & room beautifully cleaned each day, closeness to the beach, the Genius Cafe out front, relaxation and peacefulness it provides.

The resort is getting a bit tired now and could do with some renovating, especially the bathrooms. However, that adds to the rustic charm. They need to add hair conditioner in the bathroom as there’s only shampoo. A request to reception for some proved they do not have it. The music at the pool needs to be more varied each day- the daily disco stuff put me off going to the pool. Softer volume, reggae/ easy listening would be more relaxing around a pool. The lovely wooden Balinese chairs on the balcony are very hard (& not comfortable after a while) so chair cushions would be great!

The resort was lovely. The gardens were really well maintained and it had that village feel with all the separate units with thatched roofs. We had a couple of little issues with the room, but once we let reception know there was someone there to fix the problem within 5 minutes. The beachfront area was always clean with staff on the beach every morning raking up the seaweed and any rubbish. The rooms were also very clean. Loved our stay.

Sanur is a little laid back part of Bali. Apart from the regular visitors , mostly frequented by those undertaking water sports like Scuba diving or surfing. I chose this place as was next to my Dive shop. The hotel is at the far end of the beach , nice quiet place a bit run down but comfortable and clean rooms and offcourse very green surrounding. Being a veg , didn't find much options in the restaurant menu, though the chef did make a nice local Veg preparation on request . The Genius Cafe (not a part of the hotel) on the beach has plenty vegan options to try from. Staff were very courteous and were ready help with any request.

They could go a few notches more up on the cleanliness part. The coffee station was unkept , i had to clean the glasses and cup before use.

Overall, the staff throughout the hotel are lovely and very helpful. There is always somebody to help you with any special requests. Most of the staff speak English which can be helpful. I liked the Beach area in front of the hotel. The water is deep enough to have a swim at high tide. The Hotel is nice and close to the Surfing, Paddle Board and kite surfing school if you feel like getting out onto the ocean. It is a cheap taxi ride into town if you do not feel like walking to the main shopping area. The Hotel is close to the local food night markets if you want to try the local food. The Pool area is nice and quiet and the beach side is a bit more lively with an 8-km walking and bike track that can be a nice way to get into town.

The hotel is starting to look a bit dated, but everything works and the rooms are very clean. The pillows could be a bit better quality they are a bit lumpy to sleep on. You can request a different pillow, the hotel is very accommodating. There seems to be a bit of a slow recovery from the COVID lock-down, there can be limited supplies of some items.
