I stayed in the 3 room villa with pool. One of the room is away from the other two, separated by the pool and living area, which is warmly welcomed by my two teenage girls who wanted a little privacy from us. The room size is idea and the surrounding is very green. Rooms are very clean with a nice clean pool for dipping.

Didn't expect the car to be not able to reach villa front. So when I thought I have arrived at the villa and then see nothing, I almost panicked, especially I arrived on a dark rainy evening. Will be good to make this clearer in the booking to give instructions on how to arrive at the villa.

I loved the staff! They were really welcoming from the moment we got there. We got a welcome drink. Our room wasn’t ready but we went for a walk to the Ubud art market which is a 10-15 min walk. Our room was really nice, I loved the openness. You may find some lizards and ants here and there. But it was okay. Nothing harmful. The massage ladies are wonderful! Really recommend getting the traditional Balinese massage.

The only hassle we found was the location being a far bit of walk from the main area. But I think this was also a plus point because we heard no traffic or tourists during our stay. It was very peaceful.

We spent 7 days at Alam Wayang. We has great time. We loved the location. You only can get there by motorbike so it's nice and quiet. Once you get to the check point, one of the staff will meet you in a buggy and will drive you to the hotel. Villas are new and clean, set in a very beautiful lush gardens. Breakfast is modest, but it's OK. It is selection of continental or Balinese. Pool is nice also. One thing to keep in mind. The size of the room is 63m2, but it is not the size of the room, but rather size of entire villa including your garden. The size of the room is no more than 25m2 I would think.

Very hard bed for our liking.

The facilities are new and the room is quite private, comfortable and spacious. Good breakfast but the choice is limited after a few days. Their ginger tea is amazing, so I managed to get the recipe for the staff.

The toilet is basically open to all kinds of bugs and mosquitos, so I tried not to stay in it for long during evening hours as otherwise, mosquitoes would have killed me. The location is a bit off and taxis won't be able to pick you up or drop you there directly. They however have a free shuttle to a checkpoint where you can reach civilization, or you can walk 6 min or so to a main street.

The room was large and secluded. Great outdoor bathroom. You have a small garden by the terrace that belongs only to you. Pool very pleasant. Towels and sunbeds are available. Breakfast is a'la carte. Quite a lot of choice and portions. I recommend the ginger tea! Getting to the hotel is a bit complicated, because you have to drive to the calling point and then call the reception to pick you up. The shuttle arrives in a few minutes and is very convenient. From the hotel, you can walk to the center of Ubud in a few minutes. You just have to go down the stairs to the main street and turn right. To the left of the main street about 10 minutes away is a large supermarket (bintang) and ATMs. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful.

At breakfast you can choose only one drink, for example if you take coffee then you have to pay for extra juice. Watch out for the salads, some are very spicy.

Peaceful jungle surroundings, away from Ubud traffic noise The given address is actually of the Check Point, where they pick you up with a buggy around the clock. This is because cars cannot go beyond this point. The actual hotel lobby is in the location of "Hastina Restaurant". From there, you can walk to the e.g. Ubud Palace in 20 mins. The road is a bit hilly with quite much traffic and not so good maintained pavements, so we ordered taxi via Grab from Penestanan Stairs to the center, which costs IDR 60K.

The surroundings is very peaceful and quiet, but the houses are next to each other and the bathroom is open on the sides with their doors not being sound isolated (understandably). So you might be unlucky with your neighbors and might be woken up in the evening by someone signing in the shower. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to have some ear plugs, just in case.

The location was ideal for us as we were looking for a quieter area of Ubud to stay in. The place had everything we need. We were able to enjoy the pool, and there are plenty of amazing places to eat nearby. And when I say nearby, I mean within 2-3 minutes. Two of our favourites were Alchemy and Yellow Flower. The staff were super helpful and arranged loads of transportation for us. Each room felt private and the walkways to the villas were a nice treat.

With so many great food options nearby, it would have been nice to see more options available on their menus. We were able to find some food to enjoy from their menu, but as vegans, we were limited in our choices. I understand it's our personal choice, but it could help keep some guests staying there to eat rather than sourcing out other locations close by.

Great facilities - my villa looked as good as it did in pictures. It was clean. The staff was very friendly, polite and always ready to help. Hotel is in a great place - walking distance from Ubud Palace, Blanco museum, Saraswati Temple but at the same time away from city centre's noise.

I got food poisoning after one evening meal there. Started feeling sick 4-6 hours after the meal. I always wash my hands and I never had problems like that before. Luckily, it didn't last for too long and in the end of the next day I was feeling okay. The staff was very helpful - I got some plain rice/toast/banana next day instead of normal breakfast. I was eating breakfast everyday and quite a few times dinner there and didn't have any problems but this one event was unfortunate.

Room was clean and good size. Bathroom and shower were great; clean and covered but outside still. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Pick up from checkpoint was very easy to request and never waited more than 2 minutes to get picked up. We also walked from the hotel into ubud center in 10minutes. Pool area and spa facilities were relaxing and easy to book a treatment. Had breakfast included which included several dish options. Dinner menu had good local and international options also. Everything was fresh and tasty. Would definetly recommend!

Location is perfect for me, very secluded! I stay for holiday and work, and I can finish my work here with full concentration. Staffs are very friendly, their manager, Mr. Kama gave very excellent service. The food is really good, many choices from American to Indonesian food. Room is perfect, I stayed in Deluxe Suite, amenities are okay, semi outdoor bathroom with bathtub make this room is really awesome ! The garden, the pool, the restaurants, every corners are good for taking photos, very instagrammable ! We'll come back very soon !
