loved the property. the pool is small with two chairs, but it’s still quite lovely! the balconies are very nice. especially with breakfast delivered to you! the staff is very nice and helpful!

Even though I booked far in advance, they overbooked themselves using both Airbnb and booking.com. so they had to move me to another location (nicks pension). this property was fine, but I preferred nicks Homestay. also, when you’re only staying somewhere for two nights, it makes it really less relaxing to have to move both nights, as I wasn’t able to stay at nicks pensions for two nights. they moved me back to nicks Homestay my second night. lastly, I gave them my laundry to do, and they told me it would be done by 9 am the next morning, but it wasn’t done until after 12:00. maybe do your laundry yourself up the street from nicks Homestay, or wait until you’re at your next destination.

the place is stunning and the staff is super friendly and available

for me it was very cruel to see their collection of exotic birds in the cages scattered around the place. we all experience what is like to live in lock down and I find it a useless cruelty to take freedom away from an animal that is the embodiment itself of freedom- and keep it trapped in a cage. also at 6 am in the morning it was impossible to sleep cause they were making a lot of noise at sunrise. it’s a pity because the place it’s stunning and the staff is so nice too. please free the birds!!

Perfect location - in busy street close to Monkey Forest yet very quite and retains a traditional ambience. Rooms are old but big and clean. Breakfast offered is only Jaffles, Toast or Pan cake with fruit bowl - filling but repetitive. Staff are friendly and helped in arranging taxi tours etc. Opposite to the property are several restaurants including Indian cuisine and vegan options. Highly recommended for family travellers.

Rooms are bit old. Need better upkeep

The place make you feel at home. Breakfast was ok Good location. Close to monkey forest and Ubud palace. Staff were friendly. Big bedroom and comfy mattress. Tea and coffee in the bedroom.

There was a very very strong smell of the mothballs in the room. It made me feel sick . When we got there the staff couldn’t find our booking but after a phone call to his boss he checked us in.

We loved our stay at Nick's so much we extended it. It's a beautiful peaceful oasis in the heart of busy Ubud. The rooms are huge, the bed is very comfortable and there's a spacious balcony which overlooks the beautiful gardens. Not a massive choice for breakfast but what there is is very tasty and can be enjoyed on your balcony or in the common areas. The staff are super friendly and helpful - we booked a tour and transfer with them which were spot on. It is on one of Ubud's busiest streets but set back so you can't hear the road. It's a three minute walk to the large supermarket where many of the minibuses drop off and you can walk to Monkey Forest in about 10 minutes. I throughly recommend booking a stay at Nick's - it's a lovely place.

Only tiny improvement would be a fridge in the room. Think I saw them in other rooms so maybe we just booked one without, although I didn't see a different option. That's very minor though - it really was fabulous.

I actually don’t have the words to describe how absolutely beautiful and peaceful Nicks Homestay is. Beyond the beautiful property, comfy beds, amazing pool, and AWESOME STAFF… really the pictures can’t capture the beauty of this place. Kenyat made this homestay home. Good people, good vibes.

NOTHING. There is absolutely nothing I don’t like about this homestay. Clean, beautiful, and relaxing. The homestay staff are just amazing! Kenyat has you covered. Whether it be the types of birds in the homestay or the details of the properties history or what’s the best thing to do today! The driver he will find will be top notch!

Great central location but tucked away enough to be a peaceful oasis. Cute little pool, nice breakfast, great value. WiFi wasn’t the best but was ok, didn’t get hot water till the second day for showers but just made us extra grateful when it did come. Beds were very comfy. Would be nice if they had a lamp in addition to the overhead light for evenings

Feel like payment was a bit messy. We weren’t asked to pay on checkin which was actually kind of nice to not have to sort it with all luggage with us but then it got a bit confusing at the end and the same for other guests as well I noticed. This could be refined but overall great place

Location was great. The entrance was connected to the main road but the rooms were tucked pretty far back which meant you didn’t hear the busy road. The breakfast was nice and they bring it to you when you want. Staff were very friendly. It was a beautiful place to stay with a nice pool. Surrounding attractions and restaurants were nice and there were some supermarkets close by.

The wifi didn’t work. It would be nice to offer some water.

garden is amazing, I felt like in the museum! room and bathroom are very big, bed is comfy, breakfast was tasty, tho eggs rather small but ok. staff always helpful and nice. location is the center but you can’t hear the noice because it is in the back

if you are a light sleeper - this is not for you. They own birds in cages in the yard (like 7-8 of them maybe) and they get very very very loud from very early in the morning. my boyfriend disliked that room was super sunny also, there is a window above the main window and it is without the curtain, on the east side - so he had really bad time sleeping there

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by Yande. Nothing was too much trouble. The homestay is set in beautiful surroundings even though it is in such a central location in Ubud. Set back from the busy main road, you do not hear the noise of traffic at all. Shops and places to eat are within a minutes walk. The homestay provides breakfast which can be eaten within the grounds or brought to your room/balcony. Staff are very flexible, we originally only booked to stay for one night but liked it so much that we were able to extend our stay. The price to stay here was exceptionally reasonable and surprised us. Staff were also very knowledgable about excursions, particularly Kenyat who booked us on the sunrise trekking up Mount Batur of which the cost was very reasonable. We would love to come back to Bali and if in Ubud, would undoubtedly stay at Nick’s Homestay again. Thank you for having us! :)
