the rooms are beautiful, the pool magnificent and the restaurant is very good. the staff will assist you at any time, and the driver Budi took me to the temple, waterfalls and paddy fields explaining Balinese culture. it is a bit further from Ubud town but they have an hourly shuttle to and from the resort so no scooter needed as such. Next time I’ll definitely go there again!

Wow this hotel really exceeded expectations, from the moment we arrived the service was the most outstanding thing about the stay. Nothing was too much trouble and our pool villa suite was amazing! Really take your breath away first impression. We unfortunately didn’t get time to use the spa but really wish we did. Our room was that amazing that there was little need to really use any of the other facilities. It was very well decorated in authentic Balinese style

Not a fault of the hotel but we were a little further away from Ubud centre than I had originally thought and getting a taxi was not easy and also because of the crazy traffic a 10 min journey was more like 20/25 so bear that in mind. The team always saved us in the end by getting a car to us as soon as possible if we were stuck. Some building work going on right next door meant lazing by the pool wasn’t always as relaxing as hoped but wasn’t something we let ruin our stay

The warm welcome and the friendliness of staff was outstanding.. We felt welcomed and staff were always happy to oblige and help in any way. Food was excellent and so well presented and tasty. We were reluctant to eat elsewhere in case of a duff meal ..always cooked to order. The bedrooms were beautiful too.

Only that the sunbeds were a little tired and the covers needed replacing (perhaps due to exposure to all those downpours !) as could the pool towels ..

We would love to return to this hotel. The communication was brilliant when arranging an airport shuttle service. The hotel also offers a regular shuttle bus service into Ubud centre free of charge which was absolutely amazing and we used this everyday to sightsee and go out for dinner on an evening. The breakfast is delicious and there is a wide variety of choice. We loved the Indonesian and experience breakfasts. We also arranged a floating breakfast in our villa pool which was a highlight of our stay. We also really enjoyed the hotel spa treatments which I could not fault. They were so relaxing and professional. The best thing about this hotel is the friendly staff who could not do enough to ensure your stay is perfect. All of the drivers, reception staff, restaurant staff and spa staff were lovely. All the staff are extremely polite and helpful. They really looked after us when we had lost baggage and provided regular updates. Our Karna villa was beautiful and cleaned perfectly everyday. There was plenty of water and fruit provided daily and lots of toiletries. Totally worth the money and would love to return one day.

The whole experience from the time that we arrived in the early hours of the morning after a flight delay, was perfect. The staff could not have been more courteous, helpful and friendly. We had a deluxe villa for 3 nights with our own pool, it was brilliant. Clean, big and had everything we needed. The resort is out of Ubud town which is a blessing, a haven away from the hustle and bustle. The massages and experiences from the spa were fantastic. Highly recommended Sankara.

Beautiful tropical grounds with Balinese decor. Very helpful staff who were friendly and efficient.

It was a little way from centre of Ubud and whilst the shuttle was excellent the traffic meant it took some time to get into the centre.

I had booked a deluxe pool villa and deluxe villa. Both were excellent, I was literally in love with the private infinity pool in the villa, extremely helpful staff, food from the restaurant was great and light on my pocket, though I’d doesn’t win any award for location but it was nicely secluded in its own greenery which is enough for one to be peaceful and stay happy An excellent property to stay in Ubud.
