Amazing cosy place to stay over a night or two in the center of Cong. Lovely atmosphere, tasty food, attentive and friendly staff. Great for families with kids, their family rooms are spacious, well thought over and comfortable. Definitely we’ll come back as we fell in love with this lovely town, and we’ll stay in the same hotel. Truly recommend!

The bathroom sink was a little blocked and we had to be careful using the water. The toilets could have been cleaner, but this is really nothing compared to the charm of the place.

Everything was just fabulous. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Olga for kindly changing our room type. The food is second to none and so beautifully presented, even breakfast! Our room was beautiful and spotless and the blackout blind is a huge bonus. Look no further for a memorable stay in the beautiful village of Cong.

Nothing we didnt like. This place ticks every box!

Friendliness of staff, Steven, and his wife were very friendly and helpful hosts. Kirsten, John, Annette, and Chlodha were very pleasant. The breakfast staff were very understanding and helped me bring breakfast to my wife in the room as she was in recovery from a broken ankle. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Locals were very friendly and great craic.

Absolutely nothing. Everyone working was very helpful.

We loved everything about it...the location...the very helpful staff and good food. Keep doing what you are doing!

Just one negative...my husband is on a walking stick due to balance issues and found the stairs an issue. He suggests putting a hand rail on the other side of stairs where a dado rail exists. It would give extra safety.

The room was clean and spacious, just like the rest of the hotel. The room furniture is traditional, but the bathroom looked like it was recently renovated. The breakfast offered a buffet with additional menù a la carte, among which to choose the real breakfast. The staff was really helpful in suggesting what to see in the village, which is very nice and peaceful, and in the area around.

Excellent location as we wanted to stay in the Village of Cong. We had a large airy bedroom, comfortable bed and a recently refurbished bathroom with a large walk in shower. The breakfast was great quality, with a choice that all visitors would be happy with. The management team and all the staff were lovely. It has live evening musical entertainment in the bar at the weekends through the season which was enjoyed by guests and locals alike. The hotel restaurant is open for lunch and dinner so you don’t really have to go anywhere else’s the food is excellent. However, if you need to be up early, take some earplugs as the music and audience can be quite loud and on until 1 or 2 in the morning.

Nothing at all, great choice

Lydons Lodge was amazing! The beds were unbelievably comfortable, we slept so well! The room was clean and spacious. We loved that our young adult/teen boys did not have to share a bed and at the same time, we had room to move around in the room. The bathroom was also spacious and the bathtub was very deep; I wish O would have had time to take soak in the bath! We ate dinner in their pub and the food was plentiful and great. The breakfast was more than ample and a great way to start our travel day. The staff and employees were professional and very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a couple pints in the bar before bed and it was great! We are working on planning another vacation to Ireland and we are definitely planning to stay at Lydons Lodge again. It exceeded all of my expectations!

The parking was potentially an issue however an employee was helpful enough to move her vehicle so that we had a place to park. Other than that, there were absolutely no negatives to this property.

It's a lovely Hotel with a mix of traditional and contemporary furnishings. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They kept us a parking space, were very attentive at breakfast and a girl offered to take my bags upstairs to my room.

There are very few parking spaces and it's not obvious if there is more parking elsewhere. You can park just outside the hotel.

Very comfortable rooms and the food was amazing.

Shame we didn't realise the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed. We had eaten there earlier in the week and were looking forward to eating there again on the night we were staying. We are planning to go back, however.

Great little hotel located in a beautiful area; the staff was very nice, the restaurant has very good food, and there are several easy and very pretty hikes in the forest by the river/lakes just nearby.

A bit short on warm water for the shower.
