I cannot put into words how truly magical our day spent at your beautiful establishment in Sligo has been. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and genuine Irish hospitality that made us feel right at home. The picturesque surroundings, with the rolling hills and lush greenery, provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with tranquility and relaxation. The attention to detail in every aspect of the lodge, from the charming decor to the impeccably clean and comfortable rooms, was simply impeccable. The staff at Mount Edward Lodge are a true testament to the exceptional service you provide. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond made our stay even more memorable. It's evident that they take great pride in ensuring every guest has a remarkable experience. And let's not forget about the breakfast! The delicious spread of fresh, local ingredients served in your cozy dining area was a delightful way to start the day. the room was amazing, the bed was far bigger than expected, soft, comfortable, and warm. The full accommodation package far exceeded our expectations and our host was amazing, even the suggested beach walk was simply amazing

nothing at all, the accommodation was amazing. we had simply nothing to complain about at all, I just wished we could have spent a few extra nights because it was simply beautiful. the views were amazing and the drive was great

Our hostess, Maureen, was an absolute delight. She was very friendly and helpful, especially with local places to dine and local attractions to visit. Our room was very comfortable and facilities were spotless. Breakfast had a number of choices and tasted delicious. The view from our room was beautiful and the views from the conservatory/breakfast room were gorgeous even on an overcast day. I felt the price of the room was more than fair.

Fantastic host, she clearly works very hard and is very friendly. The accommodation was clean, a spacious comfortable room, the breakfast was exceptional with many options (homemade pancakes to die for) and the location is simply stunning, many areas of natural beauty all around.

The only small thing is that the shower could be modernised but it really wasn't a big issue.

5 STAR EXPERIENCE - the breakfast options was absolutely unbelievable, the folder in the room to help us to organize our holidays, the Sligo history in it \0/ websites and options to travel around Sligo without being lost, the room view was absolutely amazing and the room itself was lovely, the view until today I do not have words to express as was a piece of paradise on earth. Maureen was sweet and her experience made our stay super. I recommend whoever travels to Sligo please do stay here, no need to look for fancy hotels as they will not give you what you will have in this amazing house.

We liked absolutely EVERYTHING There was nothing there unpleasant even the other people staying there were soooo nice Ahhh...yes one thing we did not like....the time passed to quick...we would stay longer no doubt of that

We loved staying here for 2 days. There was plenty of beautiful beaches and places to see. Drive out to Mullaghmore, it will take your breath away. We had a lovely room with a gorgeous view or the ocean and the mountains. Close drive to Sligo as well. Maurine was a kind host and took care of us. Breakfast was very delicious.

Although there are great smelling air fresheners, I could still smell a tinge of cigarette smoke.

Unfortunately we could not make contact with the owner re arrival, and had to wait an hour to be registered. The property was quite difficult to find because the address sent us in the wrong direction. We went to Lissadell which was wrong. We should have gone on to Grange and maybe we would then have found the signage.

Location was good, the view from the hill the house was situated on was good, you could see the ocean and the sunset! Breakfast was good. Room was tidy and clean

While the room was clean, the rest of the house (especially the hallway) smelled a little like smoke and bathroom, this was a bit off-putting. The bed and the room was really rather small, we were two people and had to repack a small bag and leave our luggage in the car, rather than bringing the suitcases into the room. Also the welcome could have been a little warmer, the owners seemed to want to minimize any longer contact with guests

Maureen and her husband made an exceptional B&B. Room is very comfortable and cozy, and being on her farm make for a very quiet and restful sleep. Breakfast was excellent especially coffee and black pudding, probably the best I've had in Ireland. Highly recommend her place but you definitely need a car.

Maureen (the owner) was warm and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Delicious scrambled egg, made with fresh eggs from her own hens. Lovely porridge and fresh fruit all well presented. The room was clean and had all necessary facilities - all decorated to a high standard. Lovely views of the mountains and sea.
