The area was around 5km from the Sea of Galilee which we wanted and was both private, and very quiet. The accommodation was lovely, with the buildings set in peaceful, lush surroundings, lots of flowers, and a great pool and sauna. We were a long way away from the outside world when we were at the property which we loved. There was a fully appointed kitchen with food made to order. Our hosts were very helpful and willing to assist in any way.

We chose the smallest room when we booked which was our fault and not that of the property. Traveling with my grown son meant we were a little cramped for space and had to talk a few flights of stairs with our bags. Again this was our fault and the property had other, more spacious options, just not available to us at this time due to the hosts assisting displaced Israeli families due to the ongoing conflict.

Please listen, this guesthouse is a gem in every aspect: Warm, professional and intelligent host family. Beautiful garden and surroundings. Perfect heated pool. Lovely room with a comfortable bed. And last but not least: THE FOOD. Both dinner (I ordered the St. Peter fish, so well seasoned and cooked to perfection) and breakfast (with Shakshuka, Israeli salad, wonderful cheeses and jams, newly baked bread and much more) are worth many Michelin stars. Next time when I come back, hopefully soon, I will order the lamb that they cook in Merlot for hours. When I arrived in the afternoon... OMG the spell of that lamb dish, wow, it was amazing. But no regrets, I was more than happy with the St. Peter's fish. Wine tip: Try the Sangiovese grown in Golan. I guarantee, this wine will NOT disappoint you.

Honestly nothing.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Wonderful, friendly staff, excellent cuisine for dinner and most importantly for families with children - the pool is open until 21:00. Nice, calm place!

There is a small store nearby, but that’s all! The nearest supermarket or restaurant is 15-20 km away. It is better to think in advance about what you will eat or entertain the children with sweets.

The ideal place to stay when visiting the North of Israel, this place has it all: comfortable rooms, lovely garden, a heated pool, and one of the best home-style restaurants I've ever eaten at. The host/chef is incredibly personable, as is the rest of the family (and many animals of the property). Easy access to Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee, and Golan; walking distance to Arbel Park and its hikes. Visited with my kids, and its all very kids-friendly. Bonus: a great outdoor gym across the road for morning workouts. For me, the ONLY place to stay in the Galilee. Will be back!

It was our second time staying with Sarah and Yisrael - Probably the best hosts we've come across. The place isn't the newest, but is clean, extremely well kept, and the room facilities are more than could be asked for (Kitchen, bath tub, showers and balcony). The swimming pool is great and the overall environment, views, vegetation and house pets are very pleasant. The Shavit family also serves the absolute best breakfast in the country.

Can only be reached by car, plenty of parking available though

The Shavit family were very warm, kind and helpful hosts who made guests feel very welcome. Israel and Gafen are excellent hosts. Israel prepares wonderful fresh food and his breakfasts are the best I have eaten in Israel so far. Fresh fruit produce, home made preserves, real mint tea warmed pomegranate jam, freshly squeezed grapefruit juice! SO delicious! Then there are the cliffs and interesting hikes and a beautiful pool to cool off in afterwards at Arbel guesthouse. This is a must stay place in Israel.

There was nothing I didn't like about Arbel guesthouse. It's terrific. The only negative was the smell from the sheep yards uphill that wafted past occasionally.

The Arber Guest House Shavit is a very well kept oasis in a very small village near Tiberias. The host family is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is spectacular (fresh juice), shakshuka, homemade bread and jam. Simply fantastic! The area around the main house feels like a jungle with lemon trees and other beautiful plants surrounding the premises. On top of that, there is a very nice and clean swimming pool to relax. The Arber Guest House is the perfect hub to go hiking in the Mount Arbel area (National Park). Within 5 min you reach the hiking path (near the ancient synagogue) that leads into the Wadi Hamam (Arbel) to the foot of Mount Arbel. In 1 h the top of Mount Arbel can be reached (part of the NP) from where you descend back to the Guest House (total time 3-3.5 h). Just opposite of the road (near Kefar Zetim) is another hiking path that leads to the Horns of Hittim, which is also the site of a famous battle - it was here that Saladin defeated the army of the crusaders in 1187 AC (ca. 2.5 h). Nice view over Mount Arbel and the Sea of Galilee. Worth visiting! Details of the hike are described, for example in the "Wanderführer Israel" by Winfried Borlinghaus (Rother Verlag).

Unfortunately not enough time to stay longer and do more hikes in this beautiful area!

The location was ideal. Even though we were out and about all day, we came back to a nice and quiet location. Good morning walk to the Arbel Synagogue. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. The presentation and taste was just outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to tour the Sea of Galillee and yet have a quite time on the outskirts. It was 5mins drive to the Sea of Galillee 10/10

Superb meals with real home cooking made with great skill and love. The location is brilliant - close to the Sea of Galillee and other attractions, but far enough away to be peaceful and in a unique rural and wild hills area. We love this family. Recommended for those who want to visit a place to meet a salt of the earth Israeli Family. We will certainly be going back on our next visit and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Having to leave!

Full of vegetation, fruit trees, vines, what totally wonderful food as the owner is a chef. 6 minute walk to see old synagogue ruins. Very nice small apt we had, and very comfortable bed. Very worthwhile especially by car.

Didn't realize it is out of town. With a car it is great. We took public transportation using Google maps as a guide and schedule. It works, but car would be much better. Besides that everything else was perfect. They like to be informed by 2pm regarding dinner request. Look for message from them.
