I recently had the pleasure of staying at Agriturismo Passo dei Briganti during my solo trip along the west coast of Sicily. Initially, I had been booking accommodations for just one night at a time, but after discovering this gem, I extended my stay to three nights—it was the highlight of my 10-day journey. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how impeccably clean the place was and the divine scent that filled the air. The staff at the reception and the waiters were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Their hospitality added a special touch to my stay. The food at Agriturismo Passo dei Briganti deserves a special mention. It was, without a doubt, the best I had during my entire trip. Each meal was a culinary delight, showcasing the rich flavors and fresh ingredients of Sicilian cuisine. The ambiance is very quiet, making it the perfect retreat for relaxation. Whether you're lounging in the common areas or resting in your room, the peaceful atmosphere helps you unwind completely. The photos online don't do it justice; it's so much nicer in person. One of the great advantages of staying here is its central location. It's in the middle of everything worth seeing, such as notable landmarks and beautiful beaches. I only wish I had known about this place at the beginning of my trip—I would have gladly spent all 10 days here. In summary, I highly recommend Agriturismo Passo dei Briganti to anyone looking for a serene and delightful stay in Sicily. It's a fantastic base for exploring the region, and the exceptional service, food, and ambiance make it a place I can't wait to return to.

the restaurant was terrific. it was good to be out of agrigento far enough to not be in a city and still be close to the valley of temples. very peaceful place for a few days and close to the coast. wait staff in the restaurant were a lot of fun to interact with.

the road to the accommodation was a bit interesting but ok. sadly there was a lot of rubbish on the roadside. the rubbish is not the accommodations fault but it's such a shame that the locals don't clean up their road sides.

The setting is fantastic and we had an enormus room which actually slept about five people even though we were only two. The dining area was sort of half in half out which was really lovely. It was really rural countryside. The staff could not have been nicer.

The food was a little bit hit and miss. We had some lovely dinners and some OK dinners. Our room was slightly dark because people walking to the dining area could see into our room if we opened the shutters.

Breakfast outstanding and staff exceptional. Dinner fantastic and maitre'd very nice and helpful. Owner Mauro very helpful with meal and other details!

Communication before we got there on booking when I had requested a balcony room. That question was never answered and we did not get one. Once arrived, we were offered to change rooms to have it but I did not want to lose time to change rooms

The restaurant is fantastic! We ate there for all 3 nights and every dish did not disappoint - between the 5 of us, we tried almost half the menu. Service was great and friendly with Franco and Antonio and Franco was so thoughtful to send hot water and lemon for my friend who had an upset stomach. Breakfast were largely sweets but the cakes and pastries changed daily - unlimited coffee was great as well. It is very relaxing to return after a day of sightseeing and dine in such a friendly atmosphere, almost like your regular restaurant at home.

The rooms were smaller than I expected but still a good size. There were travelers who had horses and they made quite some noises at night, getting to this hotel at night is also challenging as the signs are small, it is remote and paths are not lit. But the stay was worthwhile.

Beautiful location, the staff was very friendly and we always managed to understand each other even though we didn't speak the same language. The restaurant is excellent with great service, wine, and delicious food.

The breakfast could have been better. Lots of options on sweets, but the savoury options were a bit short. I would've liked a bit more salad / tomato, and some more fruit.

location on the outskirts of Agrigento, close to Valley of the Temples. It’s dining room is obviously know by locals as it was busy Sunday afternoon with lingering diners. the food was good, enjoyed a generous table d’hôte one evening. the service was friendly and professional, maybe even better than the food. although small we loved the sunny balcony overlooking the hectares of orange trees.

While the electronic check in may be indicate the norms of future check ins, we found it impersonal and a hassle. Franco saved the day as he responded to our difficulties getting baggage up the stairs to second floor room and operating the digital lock. He was also a first class, professional waiter.

Excellent location for visiting the Temples. Very clean and welcoming rooms with everything you need. Fabulous breakfast with lots of variety for diverse palates. Dinner menu had too many options to do anything well. I returned my over salty salad with unripe tomatoes, etc etc. maybe a simpler menu with a few nicely cooked items? The antipasti platter was good. Overall a welcoming place!

Dinner!!

Everything about our stay here was fantastic. The place is less than 15 minutes from the Valley of the Temples and San Leone beach. The dinner we had was exceptional - not just your usual stuff but some more interesting variations (local goat cheese; cacio e pepe with sausage from the Nebrodi mountains). Breakfast was superb - freshly cooked cakes, tarts, eggs, bread, cheese and ham, plus your usual suspects. Checking in was easy, we were able to access our room even directly on arrival. Just brilliant, thank you!

The location was excellent to visit the Valle dei Temple. All staff were lovely and friendly. We had dinner there and the food was superb. The menu had an extensive choice. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.

The room having more natural light. Ours only had a little window and not to eye level. The access needs better signed posted as it’s easy to be missed.
