Loved the location - being on top of the hill and part of a beautiful little town of Pogerola. During our 4 night stay, there was a fair, a band playing and a choir / singing performance. The property has everything you need, good air conditioning and is 100m from Gerry’s Pub and the best pizza restaurant!

The room was very clean with a great view of the mountains and a partial view of the sea. The beds were standard but the pillows were very plush and I appreciated that! It was nice to have breakfast and talk with the staff every morning and to have the room cleaned each day.

I didn't realize when I booked how far away Villa Maria was from the actual town of Amalfi but it wasn't a deal breaker. The town (Pogerola) is quaint but still had good restaurants options!

This is a very nice lodging in a quiet town the overlooks Amalfi. There are good local restaurants and relatively frequent buses down to Amalfi and back up. You could enjoy dinner in town and then go back up at night. There is also a path with (with many stairs) between the locations that is nice in day time. The staff is very friendly and the room was large and very clean. Gorgeous views day and night. Reasonably priced.

The listing implies it is 1km from Amalfi. However it is 3.4 by road and 2.4 walking to the port. We were surprised but In the end we were happy with our choice.

This quaint bed and breakfast was the perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities in Italy. We were a little concerned when our taxi was driving us to the property because it definitely was not in the busy part of Amalfi. However, the area is breathtakingly beautiful and everywhere you look is picturesque. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. You can choose to sit in the eating area or go outside on the patio and enjoy your meal looking over the amalfi mountains/ocean. We highly recommend the restaurant nextdoor, amazing authentic italian food...try their specialty pasta dish. While we enjoyed some quiet time in nature, it was very easy to catch the bus right down the street. The bus will take you directly to the Amalfi square. Fifteen minutes later you will arrive back to the hustle bustle of the city. Great sites to see and food to be enjoyed.

Villa Maria is a nice treat. Look out upon arriving and say “Wow”. As it is in Pogerola, a small town above Amalfi, it is free from the crowds of Amalfi, but remains close enough (20-minute bus ride on the hour from Amalfi, or a ½ hour walk down (with 800 steps!). It is peaceful (especially at night), with views to Ravello and over the coast with a wonderful terrace. The room and bed were quite comfortable and most relaxing, especially to wake up to those views! Breakfast is made to order from an extensive menu. Restaurants are limited, though we had nice dinners both nights at the very welcoming Gerry’s Pub (next door). This is a great place for those looking to be near Amalfi but in a quieter setting.

We reserved 1 night only, not sure about this place. We liked it so much so we extended our stay for 2 more nights. Andre, the host, was very nice and helpful. First night we stayed in the larger room with larger bathroom and beautiful view outside. The other nights we spent in a smaller room and bath, view was limited. But both rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast is very good, you can order from a rich menu and large varieties of options. On a pretty day, breakfast is served outside on a lovely balcony with mountain and Amalfi view all over. On rainy day, breakfast is indoors. Staff are all wearing masks all the time and sanitizing gel is available at the reception and dining room. This hotel is located outside Amalfi, up on the hill, about 10-15 minutes drive down to town. Making this a great location for traveling to Amalfi, Minori, Maiori, Positano, etc Free public parking is available 50-100 meters from the hotel, based on availability. We found parking spot every evening. For hikers, there is a down hill route from the hotel down to Amalfi, then you can return by walking up or take the bus.

only 1 or 2 restaurants near by (at walking distance), we visited one of them (Aqualina) and were not satisfied.

This was our favourite place to stay in the costiera amalfitana. It is up in the hills in a quiet and quaint viallge where you hear the sound of locals greeting eachother in the morning. The installations and facilities are modern and very comfortable, way above average considering the state of most italian hotels we have visited on our trips to Italy. The bed was very comfortable and we very nuch enjoyed the italian design spa bath! Antonio was absolutely lovely to deal with and we very much appreciated the attention we received during our stay. The only negative thing I would comment on the breakfast. Althought the views are unbeattable, some higher quality products would be appreciated considering we are in Italy, the world leader in gastronomy.

The B&B is located in the small village of Pogerola above Amalfi. A 10 minutes bustrip from central Amalfi up in the mountains. Villa Maria is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ according to everything. it gives you the chance to choose between go down to Amalfi with all its crowd. Or stay at the lovely veranda or sit at Cocktail bars veranda with an espresso and hang with the locals.

Pogerola has a real Italian village feeling: the local people are really friendly and communicative! Villa Maria is a really nice place to visit Amalfi Coast. We arrived by rented car from Napoli Airport to Pogerola and after that we preferred coach to travel between Pogerola and Amalfi. It takes 20 minutes, a single ticket costs 1.4 EUR. Villa Maria has private parking place, its cost is 15 EUR per day. Villa Maria was really clean, it was fine to stay there, the breakfast was good and enough to start the day by a tasty croissant, cappuccino and fruits. The breakfasts on the terrace what has beautiful view were really impressive! :-)

We loved Villa Maria, the staff were incredible. Andrea and Antonio were always so helpful and always with a smile on their face. The breakfast was great, a good variety as always available. We really liked the natural spring water fountain that was just across the square, filling up our water bottles there transported us back in time. We had a room with "no view" according to the website only to find when we got there that we had the most breathtaking view just outside our window of the mountains and a bit of the ocean. We weren't expecting much from the bed, but it was one of the larger and more comfortable beds of our whole trip. The perfect view of sunrise in the mornings, which we enjoyed just by opening up our window. The little gardens were beautiful, I could go on and on. The place was spotless, I'm very particular about cleanliness and our room was immaculately clean. The comforting feeling of leaving behind the busy parts of the town and coming up to the b&b was our favorite thing at the end of the day!

We had no issues with this because we like to drive and loved the quaint little village of Pogerola perched at the top of the hill. Some people may not like the location because you do need a car to get there, and the roads are a bit more windy than in the coastal towns while getting up the mountainside. There is a bus but it is once an hour and takes an hour to get from Amalfitana to the villa and vice versa.
