The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. They advised me on transportation options and parking and saved me lots of time in doing so. The breakfast was quite good; plenty of options. The location right across from the central station was perfect for me since I was traveling by train in Italy. Some reviewers say the area is bad, but, while it's not ShangriLa, I wasn't uncomfortable walking around.

A little map of the legitimate parking areas near the hotel would have been nice. I got a bit confusing as ti where to park

Our ferry from Greece arrived 5 hours late which meant we missed the last train to Venice. We booked into the Hotel Della Rosa at the last minute as it is right opposite the train station so that we could catch the 6am train. It was very good value so we were not expecting much - just a bed for the night - but the staff were very welcoming, the bed was comfortable, the a/c was great. All-in-all, very much exceeded expectations.

Decent accomodation for 1 night as I needed to be close to the train station. Most of the staff were lovely. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. There is a supermarket near by and also a really good restaurant that does amazing pizza at the end of the street. Great for a short stay!

Location was conveniently near the station however not the best area to stay in for a female solo traveller at night. It’s a decent 25-30min walk to main square so keep that in mind. The lady who checked me in was fairly rude and cold however other staff were all lovely, so I feel I need to mention that. The breakfast was not great, this could have been my fault as I went down 20 minutes before it ended. The coffee was probably the worst coffee I had on my whole trip, it tasted like dirty water.

This was my 3rd stay here and, so, evidently I am happy to return. If you are travelling, this hotel is in an excellent location; buses into the centre can be caught from outside the station. The hotel staff are warm and friendly; the hotel is immaculately clean. Abundant and quick hot water in the shower. Bed comfortable (I have stayed each time in a single room). Breakfast generous. Will be happy to come back. Thank you.

I could not get the air-conditioning to work - no matter what I did - and, as I had travelled 8 hours from Switzerland on the train, I was too tired to go back downstairs to ask for help. Maybe instructions in the room would be helpful.

Exceeded my expectations. Hotel recently renovated so everything was new clean stylish. Comfortable bed and although it's across from the train station which is what I wanted since I did not have a car, the soundproof windows really kept noise out. The breakfast was phenomenal with so many options. Most importantly the front desk staff were amazing! Helped me with figuring out which bus to take and where to buy the ticket, kind , gracious, just overall excellent service. Would stay again

I enjoyed a lovely four-night stay at the Hotel Della Rosa. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and they helped to provide an adapter as my charger did not fit their sockets. The breakfast provided was excellent: pastries, cereal, fruit, eggs, and bacon, with plenty of refreshment options. The hotel is clean, and although opposite the train station and on a busy road, I didn't hear anything disturbing me when I was in the room. The hotel is in an excellent location for the station, literally across the street. The main centre is about a 25-minute walk, or several bus options take about 10/15 minutes. I took buses to make side trips to Passetto town/beach and Portonovo beach, which I would recommend if you had time. Overall a perfect stay, and I would recommend and stay again.

I had read some poor reviews of this hotel online before booking; however, the sense of the positive reviews convinced me that - perhaps - what bothers some does not bother others, and I am glad that I followed my instincts and stayed two nights here. As other reviews will assert, it is in an excellent location for travellers - literally across the road from the train station (my mode of transport). I read with interest some criticisms of the location, and the surroundings; not sure where in the world you might find glamorous surroundings adjacent to a large train station, but - as a single 'middle-aged' woman travelling alone - I did not find it at all challenging in the sense of feeling safe. Yes, there are 'foreigners' (immigrants) about; however, they are going about their lives like everyone else and could not have given a toss if I was there walking past, or not. I write this only to reassure some who have read others' concerns about the hotel's location. I walked everywhere from the hotel, into the city-centre, into a nearby supermarket, and did not once feel unsafe. I also read criticisms of the 'smell' in the hotel; maybe some have super-powerful olfactory senses, but I could not smell anything mouldy or strange at all. Given the price of the accommodation and the location, I must admit I was expecting the hotel to be 'average'; I was really surprised by how clean and stylish it is, and how quiet. I had a single room - which was very small (fine, because it is a single room after all), but it was, again, immaculately clean with a lovely bathroom, a very comfortable bed, a large flat-screen TV, and a quiet view over a vacant lot and apartments at the back of the hotel. I did not hear any other guests and did not hear any noise at all - except for a dog barking, far off in the distance. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of choices, and the staff were outstandingly friendly and helpful. Would happily return.

For a medium range hotel, opposite a railway station, there was absolutely nothing at all here not to like. Truly.

It’s a good hotel just in front of the train station and 20 minutes walk from the port. So it’s an excellent solution if you have a transfer and need to stay overnight in Ancona. The room and facilities are the typical of a three star hotel.

They are charging 10 euro per day for a pet. Also the hotel rules require a pet to stay in your room only in your presence which is a bit difficult in case of a cat.

Very clean, nice room, bed comfortable, really nice staff

The location wasn't the best, it was at the train station and very loud. Also our room's window was probably not closing properly or broken and you could hear all the noise from outside. Room 306. Our friends did not have our issue at all, so best ask to move if you cannot sleep in noise.

I got off the train and went to the hotel. I used buses right in front of the hotel to get around the city. Everything was perfect. Hotel staff supported us in every way. Especially the employee who greeted me at the reception was very attentive and friendly.

Breakfast could perhaps be improved a little more.
