We initially arrived to a different hotel (5*) booked for the entire stay. We quickly realized that 5* standard in Sardinia is not what you get in other countries. The value for money is very low. You feel being ripped off for everything. Facilities very old.. luckily and by chance we found Tenuta Pilastru. The big difference to many hotels we checked on Sardinia is 1) Professional employees - great service everywhere (which is not given in Italy) from reception to restaurant (we were given also free upgrade of the room as it had no balcony - very nice gesture, and we actually prolonged our stay!) 2) NEW facilities, also not given in Italy. Not bland colors and old furniture. New bathroom, new bedroom, everything is of high quality and new, finally felt back to 2023 (in other hotel it was back in 70s). 3) location - is great hidden in the nature, beautiful to relax. Very well taken care of! 4) food in the restaurant was great and not overpriced, freshly made and very tasty.

The only point would be about a weak Wi-Fi but given we are fully in the nature it’s ok for me. We wanted to go so spa but once we saw that there were like 8 people we decided to cancel ( a bit to small for this amount of people, I would keep it to make 4 people and have more air inside).

The serene atmosphere, beautiful and uninterrupted views including sunset, the central location (for visiting any corner in north Sardinia within 30mins or driving), the remoteness of it, the way it was built around the ancient stone structures and made it part of the surrounding nature, the locally sourced and very tasty food, the simple but ever changing dinner menu, reasonable prices for mini-fridge items as well as dinner, good selection for breakfast

No remote control for the air con, no accessible tap water, no chargers for EVs, no shops in the vicinity, could do with more water pressure, weird waste pipe connection causing shower waste noises whenever flushing the toilet

Our several day stay at Tenuta Pilastru was wonderful. The rural location near Arzechena was very tranquil -- wonderfully quiet! The grounds and buildings are meticulously maintained. Our room was quite ample in size and comfort. The staff were very friendly and professional at every level. The breakfasts and dinners served in the on-site restaurant were fantastic! Delicious! Tanked up with a very well-rounded and filling breakfast buffet in the morning, and after a day of exploring the area, wrap up the day with a superb dinner meal, served by incredible staff. Tenuta Pilastru's central location in the Gallura region made it easy to explore so many areas within an hours' drive. The nearest town, Arzechena, is a delightful place. The folks we encountered were very kind, and there are ample amenities in the town for both citizens and visitors alike. All-in-all, ours was a great stay! We would definitely book here again on future visits, and definitely recommend to others. Thanks Tenuta Pilastru!

What an amazing vacation; Relax, excellent food, good weather, pool, biking, sailing ...what else ? The staff had beed very friendly and welcoming and made our staying unforgettable. The arranged a wine tour at Surrau wine farm and an amazing sailing boat tour at the Maddalena where we even saw a flock of dolphins jumping out of the emerald water, Breakfast was rich with sardinian fresh products and the dinner just amazing ! The room sprakling clean with great view on the garden with the pool. Perfect place to relax and unwind.

The true italiana country experience!! My wife and I had a wonderful time, amazingly genuine food, we also bought delicious organic jams made by the Owners Laura & Steffy of this wonderful place where the rooms are one more beautiful than other, we also thank for the upgrade given tones for our honeymoon in this wonderful island. We had breathing peace and tranquility fully immersed in a new spring reach of blooms and scents of typical Mediterranean, we love this part of Italy, really really authentic! The whole property was great. The restaurant was spectacular. The staff was super nice.

Hotel guests should have the priority sitting on the terrasse. The pool area snack place needs to provide better quality food. Possible to have some tv channels in other languages like English or French or Spanish.

Although in the Country Side, the Wi-Fi was perfectly available at all time and flawlesly functioning; very clean and exceptionally maintaned at all levels; The best structure ever visited with exceptional value for money; Magnificient location; The traditional restaurant, serving also a la carte menu, was simply impeccable for both, from the food quality and the service perspectives: The staff always friendly but highly professional and concentrated on their tasks.

Everything has been well above my high expectations and genunely the best Countryside Resort ever. Exceptional!

The lovely unforgettable location went well above our expectations. Sparkling clean a renovated room. Extremely professional staff that welcomed us with a huge smile. We relaxed by the pool and SPA. Very powerful high speed WI-FI. The local restaurant with sardinian food and wine was delicious. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Higly recommended.
