Nothing to Reproach. All is great

The room was very pretty and with thoughtful amenities. There was even a handy little drying rack in case you took your clothes to laundry. Antonella was an exceptional host. She was very helpful, gave nice recommendations for sightseeing, and kept it short and to the point.

The only drawback I can think of is the room is facing the street so there's a bit of traffic noise but it's not too bad, just some ambient medium traffic noise. Location is good, 10 minutes walking distance to Bari train station or the modern part of city center with restaurants and shops. Maybe 15-20 minutes to old town (it's a nice walk). But if you wanna wake up in the old town, then this accommodation is not for you.

'Chimera' is located on a busy Bari artery in the newer part of town but close to all the sights, seafront, shops, restaurants & the old town maze. In contrast to some of the other towns in Puglia I visited, Bari (like any big city) is busy spot. However, it has a lot to offer. The property is situated in an historic building so there's a lot of steps up to the entrance level on 3rd floor (lift is available on request). My room in 'Chimera' overlooked the street but being up on one of the higher levels noise was not a problem. The room itself was beautiful; very spacious, clean, bright with high period ceilings. Tea/coffee making facilities available. Compact modern bathroom area. It was a 5* setting! The host was very friendly & welcoming to me; provided lots of information & recommendations. I stayed @ 'Chimera' for 2 nights and was very relaxed & comfortable throughout. I ate at some nice restaurant and saw most of the main sights. The old town area is about a 15min walk - the train station approx 5min. In conclusion if you are contemplating visiting the city of Bari make 'Chimera' your No#1 choice. It beats staying at an generic hotel.

Everything suited my tastes so "nothing" to complain about!

A gorgeous, well-maintained room in an old apartment building, suitable for singles or couples. Antonella, the host, was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Obviously not a 5-star hotel but the room and its facilities are excellent and the location is easy walking distance to the seafront, train, bus and coach stations.

Nothing to dislike. The small, ancient lift adds to the charm. Ideally the stairways could be better auto-lit at night to make the walk down steps from the lift to the B&B less of a health and safety risk, but it probably comes with it being an old apartment building.

The property is on a main street in the centre of Bari and is convenient for the railway station. It is on the second floor of a big old apartment building and, while the communal area is not that inviting, once you get into the B&B things definitely improve. I was very impressed by my spacious room, the ceiling must be about 5 metres high! The room was nicely furnished with a big comfy bed, sofa, chair and a lovely pair of shuttered windows leading to a balcony, The en suite bathroom is one of the best I've had. One of the best features though is the manager, Antonella. Her communication is second to none, she speaks very good English and was always very quick to respond.

Obviously, in the middle of a busy Italian city you're going to get traffic noise, but it's all part of the experience.

The owner was very helpful, pleasant, gave us a lot of good advises as for what to see as well as how to travel or what to taste in this region. The location was perfect for us as Bari Centrale was in walkable distance, the historical down town as well was in a walkable distance, a new town close, around a lot of the places for breakfast, lunch, dinner . The room was cleaned each day. The breakfast was good, tasty cappuccino and always fresh croissant. You can reach the sea in few minutes and have a coffee with the nicest view.

The towels were very fluffy. I would advise to change them.

Great location - approximately 10 min walk from the train station and 20 min from Bari old town. Neighbourhood seemed safe. The room was very clean and beautiful - I loved that it was so authentic in style! Antonella, the owner of B&B, was very friendly and helpful. She suggested me some nearby towns worth of visiting and explained how to reach them. Overall, my stay at B&B Chimera Bari was very pleasant and I have already recommended this place to my friend!

I would suggest to clean the rooms with less aggressive cleaning materials - the chemical smell after the room was cleaned was very very strong and it took quite some time with open window to make the smell reduce. Later it was fine, though.

The room, the location, the host, the balcony- all was perfect. Room is very spacious, same as bathroom. Balcony semi-side view to the small nice park. Design of the room is neutral and very nice too. Antonella was very helpful with storing my bag in the day of arrival and part of the day of departure- very sweet.

Just two small issues- pillows were not for my head (but that is very personal, right?), and pipes were doing weird noises once you start using water or toilet. But that also lasts for some time only and makes you noticing that just for the first time.

My biggest positive impression goes for Antonella. She is very kind and helpful. The room itself was spaceful, nicely decorated, and you can see personal touch in details. It seemed clean. The room has a nice terrace. Overall impression is very positive.

Neighbourhood can be a bit loud, but it is probably for most of the Bari. The location is between the central station and the old city, which for me was perfect, so street noise didn't bother me much.

B&B Chimera Bari is a clear, comfortable accomodation opportunity for anyone who prefers the local lifestyle instead of staying at a hotel. The host is extremely friendly and helped with all requests. Also feasible for travellers with small kids. The rooms were always super tidy, everything looked like new. The house of the B&B is an older apartment house, which is very typical for Bari. Breakfast is nice and recommended.
