Liberty House accommodation is contained within a fabulous historic building and is really well located close to the Quadrilatero/historic centre of Bologna. We stayed in the Deluxe double with Balcony. The high and ornate ceiling in the room was beautiful and together with the other excellent facilities eg bathroom, aircon, comfy bed etc made this a perfect 3 day stay for us. Breakfast is provided in a shared kitchen with more than adequate supply of bread, hams, cheese, egg and cakes/biscuits. Tea/coffee/juice all available throughout day. Nice opportunity to meet other guests which we enjoyed. Communication with Nicoletta was excellent, with clear instructions provided on how to access the room. Nicoletta also kindly booked our taxi transfer back to airport. In all, we had a wonderful time in Liberty House rooms and Bologna and we would highly recommend to others.

Excellent and clear communication with Nicoletta during our 2 night stay. The apartment location was perfect for central Bologna and the spacious room and comfortable bed was a perfect place to wind down after exploring the city. Air conditioning was a godsend to cool down with the high temperatures and the charming elevator came in very handy for our suitcases. Nicoletta also very kindly arranged an airport transfer to Bologna airport which put us at ease after hearing that taxis can be hard to come by. 10/10 all round.

A well located apartment - within the Centro Storico and easy walking distance to everything. The rooms are spacious, and are decorated with character furniture- in keeping with the building. A generous breakfast is provided in a separate communal dining room, providing the opportunity to meet fellow guests. The lovely host, Nicoletta, is very kind and responsive, and helped us to book a fabulous restaurant (offering typical Bolognese food) and a taxi when we were leaving. We loved staying here.

At the time of this review it was not mentioned anywhere that there is a city tax in addition to the room charge and it has to be paid separately. Of course this is clearly stated on the Bologna municipality website, but I suggest to add it to the additional info section as it needs to be paid in cash and it is quite significant - 4 Eur person/night.

Nicoletta was wonderful to work with and the place was very well located, clean, comfortable, and spacious. Check in was a breeze. We were in the room "Camera con vista" which had a lovely balcony as well. It was a bit quiet at night which at first we were a bit weary of since the property is located within a private building, but quickly realized this made for a very pleasant stay. The building was very close to all attractions and restaurants. We would love to visit Bologna again and stay at the Liberty House!

Best part of the property was the location and the big dimensions of the room and the bathroom.

Unfortunately, despite the courteous assistance by phone, there was neither a person nor a reception at the place. Due to the central location, there were lots of noises during the day and at night. The breakfast was really basic. The price was higher for what it offered.

Excellent location in central Bologna within walking distance of everything we needed. Delightful property full of interesting features. Very clean and comfortable with nice bathroom. We had the balcony room which was nice to sit out on in late afternoon sun. Kitchen stocked with all sorts of nice food and drinks which we could access at any time. Excellent communication with owner/ manager before and during stay. Cleaning lady charming.

Some noise from refuse collection lorries early in morning but to be expected in city centre location.

Location is ideal. Its near all the sights etc. The room was amazing, high ceilings, balcony to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Very comfortable bed, lovely shower. It as just fabulous. The breakfast was self serve and lots of choices. Met the host and she was lovey, so nice and helpful, like meeting an old friend.

Great location. Traditional and quirky accommodation, some beautiful features. Very spacious and clean room.

No safe in the room. Pillows very uncomfortable. No coffee making facilities in the room. You don't see a member of staff at all. Breakfast not up to much. Left to figure out how to organise a coffee from a machine you've never used before.

The location was fantastic it was very central so we could walk everywhere. The room was very comfortable, and I really liked the quirky bathroom.

I think that they should stop offering breakfast as the same cake seemed to be left out for the whole time we were there. We decided not to try anything and just went out to eat breakfast as we felt it was not fresh.
