The breakfast was one of the most comprehensive "buffet" style breakfasts I have seen — certainly in Italy, maybe anywhere in the world. The hotel in general is very well thought through, with lovely touches throughout that were a delightful mix of modern and traditional. Especially loved the live music in the evenings, the relaxing bar atmosphere, the food (a la carte dinner especially was Michelin quality), the friendly staff, and the daily pamphlet with weather, activities, and stories of local history!

Nothing I would go out of my way truly complain about, just some suggestions improvements to make the stay *even better*! Would have loved for the spa or at least pools to have opened before breakfast for those who like a morning swim :) Smoke from the kitchen and from the smokers outside can waft into the rooms if you leave the doors open — just a caution to those with sensitive noses!

Overall a very, very nice & relaxing stay: cosy pools & SPA, excellent & professional staff, comfortable beds, delicious meals, very good organisation and outstanding breakfast & snacks. The location is great of hiking & visiting the area!

Some ideas to make the stay even better: - add more diverse foods to the snack: fruit basket, nuts, almonds etc.. - allow the pools to be open later in the evening - add a kettle in the room - have the gym with a view on the mountains - reduce the amount of food on the half-board menu (and the price?)

The hotel San Giacomo is a beautiful hotel for some quiet days and hiking in the mountains; following we really liked: + super friendly and helpful staff + nice wellness area for kids and adults + amazing breakfast + good restaurant but some menus were a bit too fancy for our simple taste 😉 + gym opens at 9am but I was allowed to use it already at 7am for a pre-breakfast workout

The room is described as a family room but was too small for two adults and two kids. But we spent most time on hikes and outside, so it was okay!

Very friendly and attentive staff from the housekeepers to the receptionists they are really making the difference. Pet friendly, great choice of spa services and many relaxing areas. Breakfast was great with fresh orange juice and good selection that can satisfy every taste. We really loved our stay at San Giacomo and we recommend a visit!

- upstairs rooms hallways cleaning and vacuuming should be improved - restaurant menu didn’t worth the price - In our windows sunlight was getting inside very early in the morning hard to get extra sleep, and very noisy after 9 am. Beside that everything was perfect!

The offer was great, I took my chance. Great room, great Spa, great quality of food and breakfast.

As I sometimes experience in locations like that, you can see the effort of everyone, trying to be kind and that everthing is running like being trained. But sometimes authenticity is lost in an atmosphere of trying to be high standard. Thats just my perception, I'm not Italian, I don't have experience working that hard in major gastronomy. Still I met a lot of kind staff. I will be back at some point of time.

The Hotel was very nice and clean. We read some negative comments about the staff before we arrived regarding people that are not from Itlaly, and can say that these are 100% wrong. All of the stuff was very nice, welcoming and helpful. Me and my girlfriend were late for booking halfboard 2 times because we only booked with breakfast, and the stuff always looked out for us and made it possible. In my opinion, the facility and the stuff are everything you expect on a wellness vacation.

I was really impressed by this location . A very nice hotel in the mountains sourrounded by nature but also close to Lake Garda , ideal for a very relaxing holiday . The parking is free , the stuff is very kind and always trying to do their best for a lovely stay . We had a very nice SPA room with private sauna which in the winter i think it is amazing but also summer . They have several SPA facilities ,adults only pool and also pool for family with kids where they can have a lot of fun . Last but not least , the food is delicious , various breakfast and very good dinner with a selection of fine dining choices and also the pizza and pasta’s they can prepare for kids .

Wonderful hotel next to Garda Lake and in the middle of the wonderful veneto's mountains. All the rooms are really nice and detail curated. We stayed in a superior room, but the jewel in this hotel is the SPA. 3 floors of peace and relax.

There's no middle level restaurant at the hotel, or super expensive or 15 euros of pizza. We went out a couple of times to eat.

Great place, super nice and attentive personnel, very rich selection of spa and procedures, great gym. Beautiful nature and hike selection and please do not want me to even start on the food angle ;) just gorgeous....
