The pool and grounds were amazing, perfect for the 36 degree weather! The rooms were spacious and airy with great facilities! The location is fanctastic close to the ruins, the train station, Barlotti and the beach. My dad went 5 years ago and recommended it to us as he loved it so much and we had the best time too! The place also smells amazing!

We were told by a few people that have stayed there that you could use/hire bikes and we did see lots of bikes in a storage area but when we asked if we could use or hire them, they said no. I'm not sure if this is correct or not.

After our plans changed mid-trip we booked this hotel at the last minute and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The pool was great (even if you do have to buy a cap), views were stunning, and they even have their own restaurant on sight. The food we had at the restaurant was some of the best we had on our entire trip! The family that runs it are accommodating and kind. We only had one full day in Paestum and never made it to the beach but that is close by. The ruins are walking distance away. Next time we will stay for more than two nights!

Stupendous in every way, from the moment of check-in. I extended my stay just to spend a more leisurely time at Hotel Villa Rita and Paestum. Breakfast and dinner were fabulous. The cuisine was fresh and delicious and healthy. The pool is a major plus. Simply wonderful. Rooms and common areas are clean and pleasant. Location is ideal - walking distance to the archeological site and museum. This family run hotel is well run and with attention to detail. They go out of their way to make their guests welcome.

I loved my stay at Hotel Villa Rita. Nothing negative to report.

Very convenient for visiting the site

We left our overnight bag after check out while we visited the museum & when we returned it was missing. It had been taken by a coach group driver error. The hotel made a great effort to locate it & while it didn’t arrive before our train departed the made a super effort to get it to a train station a few stops away & we got it back . While we were disappointed that it happened we were extremely grateful to the staff for the effort they made to get it to us

Super clean room and bathroom. Staff cared about our experience, they were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. Lots of outdoor space to relax, each room had a private patio and there were other places to gather socially. Restaurant has a limited menu but that just means the food is perfect. There is a nice wide sidewalk to the beach.

Dining room was a little warm, could use some fans.

Location was great and the property and hotel lobby are beautiful! Great breakfast that can be ordered the night before with many choices. It is a short walk to the Archeological Park. This place would be great for a week long summer visit as it is close to a beach. It has adorable balconies.

The pillows!! Way too hard, as was the bed. But, to be fair, I find all the places we have stayed (5) from Como to Florence to Rome to have hard beds and pillows.

The location was perfect for the access to the temples etc. Pleasant location etc. Family run. Very helpful staff. Free parking, water and juices nice breakfast. Environmentally friendly and lovely swimming pool area. Thank Rita and your family and staff. Rudi and George.

Our family loved the location right next to the ruins! The property was very quiet, and was very well landscaped with a nice garden. Our children LOVED the hotel cat - they played with it everyday! The pool was very nice and clean. The breakfast was good, it will be great once Covid restrictions are over. The bathroom in the room was very clean and there was plenty of water pressure in the shower.

The beds could have been a bit more comfortable. They were very firm, which is not ideal for us. We didn't bring swim caps for the pool (although they offered them at the desk), so we didn't use the pool.

Wonderful pool - the need to wear a bathing cap, however, is ridiculous in this day and age. How terribly old fashioned ! (you can buy the 'cuffia di bagno' at the hotel however)

Reception is now always staffed. Scrambled eggs at breakfast were served cold - very odd.

Fabulous place. Breakfast and then a short walk to archaeological site. Perfect. There before the tour buses!

The mosquitoes but that's because it's in a wonderful country setting. So remember to bring a bit of bug deterent.
