We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station (we came up from Naples by train), the Royal Palace (our main reason for visiting Caserta), and car rental outlets (we left in a rental car to visit the Campanian wine country. We were perfectly satisfied with our choice, the location perfect for our needs as well as being close to the centre of town (for window shopping) and good restaurants (there is an in-house restaurant, but we ate dinner elsewhere). The room was comfortable and well appointed.

No major complaints.

The retro round bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was huge and had lots of shower heads and options. The pillows were more comfortable than any others we encountered in Italy. The location was convenient to the train station.

The room had a fun retro vibe but the sitting area furniture was worn and the vinyl was starting to crack a little. it made me worry that the mattress would be old too but the bed was great.

Good breakfast, clean, next to the castle, nice personnel. Good sound-proofed rooms, efficient aircon, large bathroom.

Just a few narrow parking lots in front of the hotel (maybe 6-7 of them) and the access to these is via a large but ... one-way street. So if you happen to arrive from another street, no way to get there. This happened to us so we could not reach the entrance to at least un-load the baggages. So we had to get to the underground parking and drag our stuff up and all the way to the hotel. And by the way, the escalators, elevators and such are not working in the underground parking so good luck carrying the large baggage upstairs.

Since we do not drive in Europe, we look for good places near a main train station and the center of town. This hotel had both and staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast buffet was a great start to a day of touring the town and countryside. This hotel is also very easy walking distance to tour the fabulous 18th-century palace, a main attraction of this region. The room was large, very clean, and had a sitting area and desk area.

The hotel was just opposite the railway station and right next door to Reggia di Caserta - a perfect location for me. My room was clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished, and had a lovely view of the Palace and the public gardens. The Housekeeping and Reception staff were efficient and friendly in attending to my requests and answering my questions. And to Marino, who returned the handbag I left in the restaurant, a huge Thank You.

The property is located very near the Palace; very convenient. There is limited parking, but a secure structured lot very close by. The room comes with an excellent breakfast. I also enjoyed the bar and had a fine dinner the evening of my stay in the hotel restaurant.

The property is getting old. The rooms are old style and the bed had an old mattress. But not so much as I would complain. It was all comfortable.

I stayed there for one night on last minute notice. The room was really tidy and the shower was excelent 😍! They had nice staff that spoke good english. Food was also good. Thank you for helping me out for a tricky situation where my trains were late and i needed to change my plans. You made me feel safe.

Location was great-walking distance to many restaurants & shops. the beds were extremely comfortable and staff was very helpful. Breakfast was adequate. The hotel was very quiet.

AC did not work very well. Parking was a nightmare! Too small of a lot.

Small improvements in the room needed, windows, mould around bath tub! Good breakfast but some lactose free products would be advised

I used Caserta a transit point in between trains for one night and - having this occasion - to also see the Royal Palace in the morning. The Royal Caserta hotel, therefore, was just ideally positioned right by the railway station and in front of the Reggia di Caserta - for this short transit trip and met most of my expectations. Both the reception and the restaurant + breakfast staff were extremely nice. As I arrived late in the evening, I appreciated that their restaurant worked in the late evening too. Likewise, I was grateful for the possibility of a slightly later check-out. The room was basic but absolutely adequate and clean. The price - quality correction is totally decent.

Perhaps the only disappointment (in terms of not matching expectations based on their descriptions on booking.com) is that their restaurant was closed for lunch, which I hoped to grab before my departure with a next train.
