Pleasant hotel not far from the city center. The service was nice, as for Katana it was clean.

The only MINUS is the very poor breakfast. No fruit (Sicily is famous for citrus), no fruit and vegetables. No hot dishes (scrambled eggs, sausages). There were frozen rolls, with a total of 20 slices of cold meat and cheese. Crosants and ..... that's all. VERY POOR!!! All in all, the price is about 20% too high!!!

It was great value. As a couple staying there it was nice and quiet, very comfortable bed, room cleaned daily, great breakfast, and it was far enough outside the centre for the area to be at a slower pace.

We had no issues at all with our stay and would return/recommend to friends. The only thing I'd say is that if you're a solo traveller the quickest way into the centre is through a not so nice area and if you're coming home at night it can feel edgy. That said, we had no trouble taking this route but preferred the longer way which was an additional 10 minutes or so.

The hotel is 5 min away from the Central bus, train and Metro stations. You can take the Metro for 1 stop and you right away at the centre. From the central bus station you can reach directly the airport and cities like Syracusa and Tairmin close to Catania. Flix bus is also in the same area near the Main bus terminal. The hotel was very nice, cozy, great hospitality from the staff. Breakfast was also good, typical Italian breakfast with croatians, sweets, salty meals as well. Coffee was great too. We had 2 floors room, cute, spacy and nice. Everything you need you have it. Bed and piles were very comfortable, the bath was spacy and nice. AC was super!

We wanted to use the Safe box, but it was blocked. No other negatives.

The hotel is located in a quiet street, about twenty minutes walk from the centre. It is a converted apartment building and is made up of rooms of varying sizes. We had room number two, which I believe is much bigger than many of the other rooms ( I heard some are exceptionally small). Ours was the size of a small studio apartment - and really clean. The mini-bar was well-stocked with a variety of cold drinks (not only beer) and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and satisfying. The decor is unique with posters of the greats in jazz history (and not only jazz musicians).

The hotel is not near the centre and if you have trouble walking, it's worth taking a taxi there. The neighboring streets are not exactly beautiful...

Staff are so very welcoming and helpful. Thank you Ketty for waiting to check us in when our plane was delayed. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable with good aircon. Some lovely artistic touches around. Breakfast is very basic but included. It is only about 5 minutes walk from the station and the area is a little intimidating at night (weed smells, Street walkers) but nothing bad happened to us. 24 hour reception to buzz you in through the security gate and wonderfully quiet inside. A really nice place.

Greater selection of fruit at breakfast would have been good.

Very attractive hotel in terms of art! A surprise on every wall which was fun. I found the front desk staff very helpful and friendly, even though we checked in very late. Fortunately we were on the ground floor so did not need a lift (if there is one). Great breakfast and they tried to accommodate my gluten-free needs. Nice breakfast room and courtyard to relax in.

I found the area a bit "seedy" and a good 20 min hike to get to the Duomo (central part of town) in an area I found rough and tumble. Had a difficult time avoiding the rubbish and narrow footpaths on a very narrow street. It was so narrow our mini tour bus taking us to Mt Etna could not get down to the hotel entrance. This hotel, altho really lovely, is not in a tourist area of town.

Very good room, clean and comfortable. Essential bathroom toiletries. There is a little fridge with some soft drinks (not included in the price but available to buy). One 500ml free bottle of water. Staff welcoming and nice. A few minutes walking distance from both the Bus and Train Stations. Very good breakfast (with sweet and savoury choices).

Nothing important, it would have been perfect to have a kettle in the room or in the main hall, with some tea or coffee bags, but a part from that we found everything very good.

The personnel's attention is excellent, from the reception to the breakfast room. The included breakfast was very good. Bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning was modern and quiet one. The hotel has nice open areas and patios. The room was comfortable and the bathroom has toiletries that other hotels don't provide as slippers. It was a nice surprise to have selected it. I took it for the convenient location at walking distance to the train station and to the bus going to the Etna.

Not a thing

It is a funky hotel with fantastic art which includes photos of musicians and old movies. There are hanging umbrellas in the courtyard giving the hotel a fun feeling. It was conveniently located to the train station which we needed to go to in the morning. The front desk attendant was extraordinarily helpful. She showed us around the property and gave us directions to various restaurants. The breakfast room was pleasant and the assortment of breakfast choices were good. Our room was dark and quiet and we got a great night's rest. If we are in Catania again, we will stay there.

Behind a shabby façade, in a grimy back street in the scruffy city of Catania lies this little gem. Bright, clean and friendly. Clean spacious room, comfortable bed, excellent bathroom. Effective aircon. Beautiful breakfast room. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Our room was on two levels - bed upstairs and bathroom downstairs. Lovely space, but having to climb down the stairs in the dark for nighttime trips to the bathroom was less appealing.
