The location was more than perfect! 😍 Mariavittoria was really helpfull and responsive. She recommended some really good places to eat and visit. Eventough there was a market under our windows all the sounds were blocked out and we were surpised in the morning how livefull the square was. Bed was really comfy and everything was very clean and well equiped! Unfortunately we only had one night here, but it is more than recommended to stay here if you are coming ot Catania! 😍😍😍 Thank you Liotru Maisonne!

The property was obviously refurbished to a high standard. The shared kitchen facilities and bathroom were immaculate and modern. The bedroom was a very good size with a balcony overlooking the square. The mattress and pillows were of a higher quality than most properties which charge a lot more. An all round excellent property.

The only think I would consider a drawback was the amount of stairs to reach the property. We had no problem with the near 100 stairs to reach to property but I don’t think it would suit everyone and this should be mentioned in the description, if it isn’t already.

Marcello and Mariavittoria are amazing hosts that run this B&B. They work remotely but always available, and very responsive and communicative when you ask questions and/or recommendations. They have been really helpful, we liked the place so much that we booked another night in a different room, and they helped us moving and keeping the baggages. The view is amazing from “Buttigghi”, both of the rooms we stayed were clean, well designed, with bottle of water and local sweets, that were so good! Our stay in Catania has been a beautiful memory thanks to them. Looking forward to visit again.

Not that we didn’t like, but it might not be for everyone, two things to mention: * there is a daily market in front of the B&B, and it might smell “market” when you get in to the building. * There is no lift and you should carry your luggages upstairs to the 4th floor.

You're not only booking a room but also a super service from Marcello. He went the extra mile to let us enjoy our stay by giving us excellent recommendations and booking for us when possible. Location is great, even though as pointed out by other reviews it can be dirty after market hours (but hey it's a daily market and it has the best prices in Catania).

It can be noisy in the room if guests are loud in the common areas unfortunately, which is ironic because you can't hear a thing from the market downstairs with closed window. We pointed out this issue to Marcello who was very responsive and empathetic regarding it.

The room was better than expected, very clean, everything worked perfectly, we had a fridge and a modern bathroom, a bonus was the smart tv with netflix, you can tell they really put an effort to make it look special, I loved that they didn't changed the original old tiles on the floor giving the whole room touch of the traditional look while everything else was modern. We only used the espresso in the kitchen, but for those who need there was a functional modern kitchen in the common area.

Liotru maisonne is located in center of Catania, literally above main market. Although it is really crowded during market hours you cannot hear the murmur of life when you are in building. Owners took actions and installed good quality windows that make noise disappear. Location is more than convenient, market downstairs, 5 min walk to most of city attractions. Local is recently renewed and you can see that owners put a ton of effort to make the place cozy and artsy. Each of the rooms is decorated slightly different, with a local hint. There is kitchen at disposal of every guest as well as big common dining areas with flat screen tv. At small passage there is a kettle, selection of hot beverages (different teas/herbs) as well as coffee machine. Once in room you are gifted a 'sicilian welcome pack' - bunch of local sweets. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom was cleaned everyday. It was also well vented so no issues with humidity or smells. Whole b&b is cctv'd so your luggages are safe. You can open your room 3 ways (RFID key, code, normal key) there is also another backup option - remote unlock. The hosts are more than welcoming and friendly. They have reached to us day before arrival in order to give my gf and I some instructions how to get to b&b and some breakfast recommendations. Both MariaVittoria and Marcelo took care of us the whole stay. We felt more like In family with high standards than as guests in random room. We also were surprised with Italian breakfast on Sunday a delicious croissant package followed with Italian espresso 😋 It was the best stay in Italy so far 💜 I cannot recommend more this b&b.

Marcello and Mariovittoria and just simply amazing hosts! The place is organized remotely, but they were available all the time, for questions, recommendations, tips, even for the next steps of our journey. Not a single recommendation missed the point, we had an amazing Sicily experience thanks to them, and we will always be grateful 😊

Not that we didn’t like it, but I guess it’s not for everyone: the entrance of the b&b is in front of a daily market, so the street is busy and will smell like market.

Location is perfect. The room is located at the top of the building and is has a little balcony with great view overlooking the square with lively market. It is located in the historic centre but away from noisy streets. The apartment is very modern, new and nicely decorated. The bathroom and the kitchen are shared but they are cleaned daily. There is coffee and tea available. The kitchen is well equipped. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

There are a lot of video cameras in the apartment. All shared places (except the bathroom of course) are under surveillance which makes you feel safe but at the same time they make you feel a bit uncomfortable.

The bedroom, the kitchen, the bathroom and the living room were perfectly clean, spacious and very tastefully furnished and decorated. The owners - Mariavittoria and Marcello are the kindest hosts, who make sure you have the best time in their property. The location is perfect - the building is 5 minutes away from the city center, the view from the balcony is amazing. Every day there were coffee, tea and delicious sweets. The room is cleaned every day. There are lots of bakeries, pizzarias, bars and other restaurants very close by, the bus station and the train station are 10 minutes away from the building. Thanks to the many good advises of our hosts, we had the most wonderful time in Catania.

The place is beautifully designed and spotless clean. It’s well equipped and comfortable. The room come with a fridge, hangers, two pillows for each. The nicest touch was basket with nice sweets and water. ❤️ The host was nice and helpful, gave us tips and let us store our luggage after check in. We definitely recommend Liotru Maisonne.

Only one thing was that the square works as markets too. It’s a bit dirty around the street. But don’t let it poison your impression. The accommodation is absolutely beautiful.
