The spacious rooms were very elegantly decorated and furnished. Our bedroom also had two small balconies wth an interesting view of the busy Via Umberto 1 below. However, it was not noisy at night. The overall space was very clean and tidy. And there was a very welcome supply of biscuits, cakes, tea and coffee in the shared Reception room Better still, Sofia provided delicious croissant for breakfast. She was also very responsive and generous as a hostess with helpful suggestions on where to eat and shop locally. The apartment is just ten minutes walk away from the ALIBUS bus stop (Piazza Giovanni Varga) to the airport. There's a Supermarket a couple of block to the right on Via Umberto. And the city's main street Via Etnea is five minutes walk to the left as you leave the building.

The main room had some hanging space but it might help if there were some shelves or a cupboard so you can unpack properly. Plus a table upon which you can do a bit of work (ie room for an iPad, book and writing paper etc.

- the floors and also the carpets were not so clean (crumbles and hairs on the carpets, dusty floors, musty corners in the bathroom) - blurry unclean windows - beautiful but poorly maintained and stale pieces of furniture

We stayed in the beginning of our holiday two nights in the red room and one night in the blue at the end of our holiday. Both rooms are really nice. We prefered the red room since it offers a really big bathroom and is less noisy. Although we don’t speak Italian we had a very lovely time with the owner of the place. She was super nice and kind. And the location was also great. We really liked the restaurant Vermuth, which is in a walking distance of 10-15 min. Also the food and fleamarket at Piazza Carlo Alberto was a nice experience.

Nice place, great owner, comfortable beds, high ceiling therefore it was cold.

Breakfast arrangement was perfect, the bakery downstairs was very good, we aleays had tasty products. The location is perfect, few steps away from down town but still quiet and in tipical Italian atmosphere - vibrant, narrow streets, small balconies offering a nice view. Sofia was discrete but always answering to all questions we had. She offered very good advices for visiting, eating and St. Agata celebration. Caffee, sweets, wine and pistachio liqueur were a permanent and elegant signature for this apartment, which we have enjoyed every evening there.

Lovely room, smells very nice! We didnt have a chance to meet the host but she replied quickly to messages. The red room was good, spacioys and comfortable with beautiful decoration! And there's s buffé of cakes in the common room!!! We had a very nice Stay ad would recommend!

Street was very loud (city centre, big road outside), and something (ventilation?) in the bathroom was also very loud. We slept well despite it because we were very tired from traveling, but may be a problem if you are a light sleeper. Light didn't function property in the staircase, probably due to renovation going on. Overall no big problems.

Hospitality! There is a table with cookies, fruits and teas at the entrance, which is a nice surprise. Also there was a complimentary breakfast which we didn’t use actually as had to head off to the airport, but again it was pretty unexpected and positive. The building has an old, elegant vibe, which enables to use imagination how life in the past in Catania could be like. So I would say overall atmosphere was great.

I like everything. A bed had a quite hard mattress, however, I still slept well and liked everything else.

Clean and cozy room! There’s an open buffet outside the room and you can access it anytime you want! The breakfast in the cafe below the building was ok. There was more treats in the buffet than the cafe haha! Everything was perfect , Sofia was very helpful. The bathroom was outside the room(opposite 3-4 meters) but private. Fully recommended. Nothing negative for this room.

Perfectly is not enough to say. Amazing design of the apartment, you can feel like in an antique palace. Clean and comfortable. Location very close to the city center and the bus / train station. A typically Italian breakfast, in the form of a croissant - left in the evening the day before, allowing you to eat it in the morning at any time. In addition, an amazing buffet, available 24/7 in the kitchen, replenished daily - coffee, tea, water, red orange juice, milk, a huge selection of biscuits, Sicilian liqueurs and wine. Sofia cares about her guests like no other 🙂 Additionally, despite the long delay of the plane and late arrival, it was not a problem for her to come to check us in. Amazing quality in the low price. I definitely recommend!
