The unique location in this well restored medieval hamlet with its views overlooking Città di Castello, the absolute quiet, the lovely landscaped gardens, the fine food offered at breakfast and available at the in-house restaurant, the friendly competent helpful staff were a real plus

I suffered a seriously painful giant wasp sting at the outside pool due to the undetected presence of a hive in a nearby olive tree. There were several bee and wasp "traps" hanging all around the poolside which should probably have been placed farther away from the lounging area. Also the entire perimeter of the pool was ringed by horse flies. Clearly this did not jmake for a welcoming experience and l had to give up on that entire facility with its lovely garden. Probably the unusual extreme heat is responsible for such rampant insect presence but better solutions are needed.

I have been several times before. The hotel sits high on the hill with reathtaking views. It oozes charm. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. The food is second to none, with a great wine list. A ery special place.

.Over a couple of stays I mentioned the shower head that needs replacing and the leaking shower screen that means there is a flood everytime its used, but still not fixed. Check out was a real challenge. The owners dog pees all over the place inside, on the curtains and table clothes. It happens regularly and often they are not replaced unless it is pointed out to staff. Having a dog pee on the curtain and tablecloth at breakfast is not great.

What a magnificent and very special property! The location is superb, the buildings are so historic and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was excellent and dinner in the restaurant was superb. Our waiter was wonderful and highly professional. The reception staff were also excellent and spoke wonderful English for which we were very grateful.

Our only disappointment was some noisy people in the room above us but that of course is no fault of the hotel.

Wonderful location with views all round. Well kept grounds, pool, restaurant terrace and very well restored buildings. Food very good and generous portions. A very relaxing place to spend all day by the pool but also great base for sightseeing.

Could do with a few more towel hooks and rails in shower room.

Great place in the middle if nature, a small way up from the main road. Amazing view on the country side . Old buildings restored and keeping their charm. Room was big, well decorated and very clean. We enjoyed the spa facilities, good value for money. Staff was very nice and welcoming.

Breakfast and dinner were not as good as we expected. The quality could be improved.

Stunning location, friendly staff and amazing food.

There needs to be a bit more attention to detail ref the rooms. Having stayed previously, the shower head was clogged with limescale and made for a rubbish shower and the same in this room. The shower screen doesn't fit well and there is a flood everytime you use the shower.

The location is simply awesome, a lovely small village with a breathtaking view on the valley. Very clean and comfortable. The restaurant is very very good and the view from the dinner/breakfast room is spectacular. Very relaxing indeed.

Awesome bed! The swimming pool was lovely. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty! Friendly staff. Huge room and the best part was the view!! The setting was fabulous. We should have stayed longer!!

The location is spectacular, the rooms very beautiful and clean. The staff is very nice. We really enjoyed our short stay.

Despite the incredible setting, the food at the restaurant wasn't exceptional (I did not like the duck).

Nice building, style, views. Decent room. Very comfortable sleep. Very good dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Breakfast should be better - some veggies and fruits are a must.
