The Convent B&B was a great experience! We had adequate space for myself, my husband, and our teenage son (on a couch pullout). They allowed us to drop our bags prior to check-in, which was a huge help as we were taking the boat up the lake that day and didn't want to carry our luggage. The breakfast was plentiful, and helped fuel us for a fun day of adventuring the next day. I only wish we had the chance to spend more than 1 night in Como.

The convent was a bit hard to locate at first as the entrance is behind a gated automatic fence. Luckily a car pulled into the courtyard so we were able to follow him in. This would have been easily fixed if I had called ahead for directions, but I was on a tight timeline to catch a boat.

The breakfast was basic but satisfactory. Fruit in fruit bowl needs to be checked regularly as some was mouldy or with very crinkled skin. This was immediately changed when we pointed it out.

It rained heavily when we were there and water leaked onto the floor immediately outside our room. This was a trip hazard given the hard floors. There are steep stairs both to get to the room and also to get from the sitting area and bathroom within the room to the bed. The bed itself was on a raised platform. This arrangement may not suit some.

The whole experience of this property was above and beyond exceptional. From the moment we stepped through the property is was amazing service. Breakfast delicious.The building was beautiful. The host Shanna was so kind, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. She is the perfect host for that property Definitely recommend.

This is an incredibly unique premises, being part of a converted convent building. It is five minutes' walk from Como Duomo, five minutes' walk from the Lago Como rail station and ten minutes' walk from the port. We arrived in advance of check in time and we were permitted to leave our luggage while we went out to explore. The room itself was very large and contained many fascinating items of art and furniture. There was air conditioning, which was much appreciated as it was very hot when we stayed in June. The bathroom was huge, with a bath, shower and two wash basins. All areas were very clean. In the morning we were seated in a delightful dining room for a delicious breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, toast, eggs, ham, cheese, tea and coffee.

Lovely accomodation, in a very central location but nice and quiet. the room was a good size and very comfortable, really friendly and helpful host who showed us good spots to go to. breakfast was served on a large communal table which was social and there was a large choice of food available.

was a bit difficult to find the accomodation, could have been given clearer instructions before arriving.

Very pleasent stay. Great old house with good location about 20 min walking from Como main train station. Staff was very helpful and lovely. House situates in courtyard, the entrance is not in the street. Easy to find with map. Our room for 3 was through 2 floors. Was spacious and clean. Bathroom is small but well equipped and clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable.

There is no elevator, rooms are on third and 4th floor. We had no problem but perhaps people who have difficulties with stairs should be aware.

Great location that is very close to the Como Nord station. The atmosphere of the place is great and it is right in the middle of town, very close to shops, restaurants, and the ferries. The woman who made breakfast is very friendly and kind. In our room there were no windows to see outside but there is light coming from a central skylight which really helped brighten up the room.

It was confusing getting inside. The address leads you to a courtyard. After spinning around for a minute, a couple who spotted us through a window directed us to the correct door to ring for the B&B.

Coolness of the room when it's hot outside. Friendly staff. Clean room. Decent breakfast included.

Croissants always overcooked. Cooked meat a bit average for Northern Italy ! Como is busy even this time of year and it certainly keeps prices high everywhere. They certainly need to invest in that football stadium. It llets down the lakeside area big time.

The lady who welcomed us was really polite and helpful, she gave us useful instructions for what to do in Como. The decoration was amazing, the room was very clean, we felt like we were living back in time because of the exceptional architecture. It was located 5 min from the port where you could take the ferry to anywhere in Como, and also 5 min close to the train and bus station. I would totally recommend it!!!

We have been on an Italian road trip and Como was our last Italian stop. Parking our car right outside the building in a shared courtyard for a small fee (paid to the B&B) was acceptable and we were impressed by this. So much safer than parking wherever you could find a close enough space around Como. The owner met us at our planned arrival time and showed us into the building. The old building was wonderful and became so much more surprising as soon as you entered. Wow! we weren't expecting anything as beautiful as this. We were introduced to the housekeeper who was extremely helpful and gave us plenty of ideas of where to go, what to do and where to eat. She gave us a street map of the area and wrote down lots of ideas. We were then taken to our room which was a split level room with the bedroom upstairs (as was shown on the website). It was great and very well set out. The bathroom was very good ... working shower and the mirror light above the mirror, so at least you could see what you were doing (which seems to be few and far between we've noticed) The bed was comfortable and had lovely sheets. Next morning, we went down a couple of floors to the breakfast room. There was fruit juice, cereal and milk, kettle for tea etc. The housekeeper had already asked us the afternoon before what we'd like to have for breakfast and she brought it in, along with some lovely coffee. She'd even bought some gluten free 'proper' bread for my other half as he's a coeliac. Unfortunately, he couldn't eat any as he was still full from the night before after finally finding a restaurant that did gluten free pasta. All in all, a very comfortable stay and a wonderful building.

There's nothing we didn't like. All good here.
