We went to this hotel last year and returned knowing that although the rooms are basic, we would thoroughly enjoy ourselves here, the staff are lovely, particularly Francesca on the reception who is very friendly and always happy to help out, lovely young lady, who was also at the hotel last year. It was great to see her friendly face once again. Breakfast is lovely and the serving staff are helpful, particularly the lovely smiley lady at the bar area who makes the morning coffee. The location is great, just across the road from the beach, where the sea water is crystal clear and safe for children. Two Sun beds and an umbrella cost €20 per day, this can add up if you are staying for a while, there is a free beach area, where you can bring your own towels. The hotel can arrange for parking just down the road for €7 per day, a great price when we have sometimes been paying crazy prices such as €25 per day!!

Hotel is an EXCELLENT location to stay in Otranto!! We had a sea view room with a balcony and what a view!! Was great to sit on the balcony and enjoy. The room was a nice size, had a great closet with lots of room and mini bar. The staff were AMAZING, friendly, caring and BEYOND helpful!! Jessica was always eager to help us whenever we were in need; such an asset to the hotel!! You don't need a car while staying there as everything is just a few minutes away on foot!! There is however a private parking lot just a block away that the hotel gets a special rate from if you do have a car. We LOVED our stay at Hotel Miramar, hated to leave and will definitely be back!!

There wasn't enough coverage of the Queen of England's funeral. and there was no Queuing which as an English person I found quite disturbing although I could get used to it .

We loved staying here for our 2 nights. Beautiful view from our room right across from the sea. Staff very helpful and accommodating with our bicycles. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Hotel Miramare & only regret we didn't stay longer in Otranto! The hotel is located opposite the beach which features 2 public beaches & 2 lidi ( private beaches). The room size & design was fantastic. The bathroom was large with plenty of storage space.The room was spotless & all staff were great..reception, breakfast & cleaning. As a fabulous bonus, there was an outside clothesline on our level plus a laundromat 50 metres away. These things are important when travelling for 7 weeks. Also the buffet breakfast was great....extensive & varied . I am gluten intolerant amd thia was happily accomodated.We highly recommend stsying stHotel Miramare in Otranto

We booked a double room with a balcony and a sea view. The small amount we paid extra was well worth it as the views of the sea and across Otranto were fantastic. The location could not be bettered as the hotel was across the road from the sea and the beautiful centro historico a 5 minutes stroll. There were many lovely restaurants close by as well as child safe beaches. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and it's rooms clean and bright. Breakfast was plentiful and varied and very good.

The only disappointment we had was the shower. Although the bathroom was a good size the shower was cramped and the doors did not meet fully - it was a tight fit for a larger person. Nowadays, it seems walk-in showers are installed in many (cheaper) hotels and the Miramare would benefit from a bathroom re-vamp. But we did not have a huge concern about this.

Spacious rooms, friendly, professional and welcoming staff, great breakfast buffet, right in front of the beach and a few minutes walk away from the town centre make it the ideal place to stay when in Otranto. A small supermarket, a post office. a restaurant and a great pastry shop are few steps away if not in the same building so it's very convenient.

It could definitely benefit from a bathroom refurbishment as they're very dated and show inequivocable signs of wear and tear. Incredibly small shower for the overall square metres of the bathroom despite the high ceilings.

Great location, close to the old town, beach and train station. Staff were friendly and attentive. Couldn't check-in earlier than 3 pm but was allowed to leave luggage in storage until the room was ready.

Room was small but I spent most of my time outside anyway

Breakfast is good! Cornetos are very nice, and the people are very kind people at the restaurant and front desk.
