1) The staff! They are clearly happy working here, which says a lot about the owners Nino & Carmela. The waiters Evelyn & Luca were superb and so friendly, as were the primary desk/hosts Andreas & Helena. When the staff was not occupied with duties, we often hung around and had really nice conversations, which created a nice relationship without becoming uncomfortable. Speaking with the owners, this sort of cozy engagement was what they envisioned so that the work of being a host would be more pleasurable thanks to the new friendships made with guests, 2) The room showers had phenomenal flow, 3) Being new (3 years as of this review) everything works. The rooms, decor, carpeting, seating, everything is fantastic, 4) Located right across the street from the oceanfront walk & drive, you are always able to hear the waves break, 5) It is not touristy - you are located in the middle of a "typical" Italian community. People walk by continually with their pets and children, especially in the mornings and evenings, so each evening you can have an entertaining view of "life" without the editing of tourism. Pets are super popular, and we enjoyed seeing them being walked everywhere, 6) Practical internet access was excellent and consistent, and 7) The decor was simply superb, and the quality of the food and the restaurant was outstanding. We loved it here! On our final day here, we had to kill quite a bit of time due to a late evening connection, yet the staff, Andreas and Luca, went out of their way to make us comfortable made us feel welcome to stay and use the amenities until we left late in the evening. This allowed us to relax, journal, work on online projects, write reviews, etc. Bottom line? I can't recommend this place highly enough.

I almost hate mentioning this because it's more a "me" thing, but at every place I've stayed in Italy, the AC has been ineffective to the point of making it borderline uncomfortable, so I don't know how this would be in the summer. We stayed here in early October so it wasn't bad, but for room, we opened the windows late at night (when traffic noise was minimal) and that helped. The sound of the breaking waves across the street was an added benefit :-) The hotel is made very "Eco" friendly, so if the patio slider is open at all, the A/C shuts off. Not a huge deal, being able to stay cool does help when it comes to sleeping. To be honest, I could have asked about the A/C and if it was just a thing with our room, but I did not feel it was that big a deal for our short stay.

Molto bene!!! I was looking for a tranquil, comfortable yet quality resort on the Sicilian waterfront, away from the bustle of Catania and Taormina but close enough to visit these districts when I wanted … and the Santantonio Resort met all of this, and more! The hotel is modern with some clever design features and with consideration to many details that discerning travellers would expect/demand. The hotel is extremely well presented with quality finishes, decor and refinements throughout. My suite was very comfortable. From the website and photos all of this, I was expecting. However, the hospitality of the staff was exceptional and certainly exceeded my expectations. The owners and the staff were courteous, professional, attentive and friendly, but I never felt that they were ever intrusive. The restaurant fare was excellent no matter whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, and attention by the staff, superb. The Chef uses only premium local produce to present dishes of the highest quality, thank you! The pool and relaxation areas were cleverly laid out so that residents can best enjoy the facilities. A special thank you to Hannah for the warm welcome when I first arrived at the hotel (and much later than I was anticipating, sorry!). Special thanks too to Mariella, for looking after me (and my suite) and to Carla, Evelyn, Cinzia and Luca for taking care of me in the bar and restaurant throughout. A big thank you also to Hannah, Mary and Carmella for ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout and to Antonio for showing me around some of the local sights.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Santantonio Resort and would recommend it to those seeking peace and tranquility in a quality environment. I look forward to my next visit…

The reception on the two International News Channels (BBC & Al Jazira) was a bit patchy (but that may have been just my suite). That I couldn't stay any longer...

The highlight were the staff. All very friendly and eager to engage and help out. Whilst they were all great I would like to give a special mention for Evelyn. Breakfast was great, dinner was delicious. They even provided generous breakfast boxes on days that we had early starts for excursions. Rooms were modern and comfortable with a great shower.

Not a criticism as we were aware of the location but you really need a hire car if you plan to visit Taormina, Mount Etna or any of the other tourist spots. Riposto is a quiet town with not much in the immediate vicinity apart from a lovely coastal walk. The hotel has bikes that you can borrow too. So more of a warning about the remoteness rather than something we didn’t like about the property.

The breakfast was excellent. Always fresh fruit available, cakes, bread and tea/coffee on demand. The cooked breakfast was good but perhaps there could have been a few more choices, such as sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms. Apologies - we are British!! We loved the delicious ice-cream that was available at any time of the day :) The pool and surrounding area was beautiful and always scrupulously clean. We really liked the natural style of the pool too. The staff were outstanding - always helpful and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with them, especially Lorenzo and Elena and the lady at reception (didn't get her name sorry!).

Very little! The room was a little bit on the small side and there wasn't a great deal of storage space. We would of course have preferred a sea view, but everything else was wonderful!

The property is a beautiful oasis in Riposto. It is modern with amazing features like the wall of windows in the dining area that open up completely. The finish is immaculate Antonio and his wife are justifiably proud of what they have achieved. The rooms are clean , spacious and beautifully finished. The bathroom is amazing and the shower is to die for. Most of the rooms either overlook the sea or the imposing Etna at the rear. The pool is unusual almost like a pond but equally good for swimming. It has a waterfall and jacuzzi facility. It was a joy to lie there and watch the swifts swoop down and sparrows and finches take a bath on the edge. The staff are truly amazing so friendly and helpful , nothing is too much trouble and someone is always available.

Secure parking is free. Staff are delightful. Ten rooms on the first floor and two on the ground, so never crowded. Spotlessly clean. Food was great. If you want to see Etna then this is certainly a place to consider.

Not really anywhere indoors to sit and relax, if the weather is poor. The beach - twenty feet from the front door - is boulders, rather than sand. Not their fault and in another ten million years it’ll be great. The town is largely squalid. Dilapidated beyond belief.

Everything was as advertised, we really enjoyed it! It was close to everywhere we wanted to visit, 1hr car ride most from each location, but not in the hassle of the centre. Staff was ALWAYS very nice to us and very accomodating. We had dinner there too, and we definitely were not disappointed. Super clean, parking at the premises and great breakfast. We will definitely consider this hotel if we return to the area. Well done! A presto.

Everything was great!

A fantastically pleasant and comfortable stay! The hotel was completely full, but it seemed that we had come to visit friends in a modern and cozy villa, where the whole atmosphere was created with love and only for us. Everything is brand new! The breakfasts are delicious! The food in the restaurant is prepared delicious and with a soul! All the staff is friendly! And the balcony offers a magnificent view!

The room was well lighted and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and all was clean. The bfast was good, although we didn't have any options. The hotel is in a quiet area, 30/40 mins away from Catania and Taormina. It is surrounded with a beautiful garden, including a pool to relax in.

The rooms were not equipped with a kettle for tea or coffee. Hot bfast was served, but there was no variety of food. It consisted only of scrambled eggs and bacon and toast. Only one key card for the room is provided, so if one goes out for a walk s/he either goes out without tge key card having to wake his/her companion to open for her/him or take the key card to be able to enter the room, leaving the otherone without the use of electricity, as no other card can be used.

This may have been the best hotel we have ever stayed with. The hotel itself is beautiful, located at approximately 30 minutes from both the Etna and Taormina. The pool - with a view on the Etna - feels like a luxurious lake. The food at the restaurant is simply amazing, both at breakfast and for diner. The most amazing thing about this hotel is the staff: from the owner Antonio who is just a very sweet man, to the best waiter in the world Lucca and all other staff members who do their utmost to make you feel like you are away from all your daily troubles. This hotel is simply amazing.
