Francesco was an amazing host, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.Breakfast was lovely and varied and lots of homemade products. The location is stunning, views of mount vesuvius and the bay of naples. If you are not hiring a car,its a 45 minute walk into the town of castellamare and the station and its uphill coming back but its worth it for the peaceful location of the b and b.We took the train to Sorrento and Pompei, really cheap fares and not far.We also did a boat trip with Villa catie partnership company to Possitano and Amalfi which was lovely. We used the restaurant attached to the b and b,owned by Francescos brother, food was plentiful and lovely, especially the homemade wine,be warned its 123 steps up to the restaurant.Everything here was perfect, made more special by Francesco and his staff for whom nothing was too much trouble.Thank you for a really special holiday.

Nothing!Only the long walk up after a long day walking but you would have to be mad to drive over here.lol

A perfect stay! The Villa is located in a brilliant location with access to all the areas you want to visit. The manager Francesco and all the staff (Anna) are very helpful. We stayed for two weeks but most people stay for just a couple of days so they can explore the area. The restaurant at the top of the mountain is fantastic amazing food and service.

I would recommend you hire a car as that would make the experience even better. Having said that we walked to the city Castellammare frequently and took the train to Sorento and other places. Their are lots of shops and restaurants in castellammare serving lovely food.

The room was very clean and attractive with a personal terrace section in front with seating. The view of Vesuvius and the curve of the bay of Naples to Stabia was perfect and so evocative. Breakfast was great. The pool looked very clean and only sad we didn’t get the chance to use it or lounge around it at any time. Walking distance to an associated restaurant which was perfect as it meant one didn’t have to drive into find somewhere. Plus the food was good and again the view was lovely.

Some may find the road narrow and steep but it’s worth it for the elevated view of the Bay Area. Traffic busy to Pompei

Magnificent views of the Vesuvio and nice pool area. Breakfast came with a great selection of items and drinks even though the property only has around a dozen rooms. Enough parking available. The hotel is in a quite remote location, but there is an authentic Italian restaurant nearby which can be accessed by stairs leading up from the place.

The WiFi in our room (102) was absolutely awful. You couldn’t get anything done as it was barely enough for texting, but streaming or anything similar was virtually impossible. Also note that the only access street leading up to the place is extremely narrow and doesn’t fit two vehicles what leads to nerve racking drives. So I’d only recommend this property if you now your car extremely well and aren’t afraid of backing up 50+ meters.

Staff were very welcoming and super friendly. The Breakfast was the very best we’ve had at any of our hotels in Italy! I’ve also been in France and Croatia this trip and it beats all those breakfasts as well 😀 We were told they make their own pastries & bread and they were delicious! The affiliated restaurant upstairs also has very good food and the view is absolutely gorgeous! We didn’t use the pool, but having it was a nice option. I found the location convenient for the activities we wanted to do in the region, since we had a rental car.

The rooms were not very well soundproofed, which isn’t an issue unless you happen to have very noisy neighbors who continue to be noisy until after midnight… which we unfortunately had for two nights of our three night stay. That wouldn’t keep me from coming back, I’d just bring earplugs 😂

The host and staff were super nice. Very neat and cozy hotel building, its surroundings, breakfast and pool area. Cozy terrace with furnitures of the first floor rooms with a view of Vesuvius. Exceptional breakfast with enough choice - ham, cheese, omelette, fried and boiled eggs, even vegetables! This is very rare in Italy. Delicious fruits, juices, baked goods, amazing croissants! Coffee is served in a normal large cup! It was great! We were with our car, so we had no problem going up the narrow street to the hotel. Great parking. Good size bathroom and towels' warmer in it. Little fridge with drinks that you can purchase (very good prices by the way) - we could keep our water cold.

Small details, like wishing for a more comfortable mattress or a more modern wardrobe, are overshadowed by all the already listed pluses above. Generally, the price-quality ratio is ideal.

The room was nice and the location was peaceful and really beautiful. There was a small market downhills but not al lot of other services. Air conditioning worked properly. The pool was nice but they closed it 9 p.m. and personnel tried to get me out of the water already before that. The breakfast was sufficient and there was a restaurant nearby.

The place is quite difficult to reach. We went there by motorbike and I had to use a taxi as well. The personnel didn't inform in time that my booking reservation was not hold back beforehand (as all the other accommodation in our trip abroad) and we had some problems with that.

Location is excellent, out of the hustle and bustle. Gorgeous view, nice pool, really helpful staff. Room was nice, bed was comfortable and good shower. Nothing to not like!

You are a bit restricted to the restaurant behind the hotel. It was a good restaurant but it would be nice to vary the eating out locations. We think there was an open area in the summer attached to the restaurant but it wasnt open in early May (just the main big hall, which was a bit bright for us). We are use to more intimate surroundings. You could drive to nearby town but not ideal if you want to have a glass of wine with dinner. The road driving up to the Villa is challenging at first (but doable) but driving it might be more difficult at night. A big Jeep or two did park at the villa, so they cleared the narrow road so most cars should be fine.

I loved absolutely everything! Francesco and Giuseppe were so welcoming and provided the best service. The property location was perfect for us! Napoli was about 30 min by car. Pompeii 15 min. Sorrento 10-15 min. Giuseppe booked us an amazing boat tour the day after our arrival to Positano and Amalfi. Absolutely beautiful! The restaurant DID NOT disappoint. We ate there three out of our four night stay. The food was excellent, and the staff was wonderful and the service was on point!! It was a sad day when we had to leave.

There is nothing I did not like

Amazing place to stay. The road initially seems bit daunting but parking is good and spacious. Great base for Naples, Pompeii and the coast. Fantastic service, very friendly, helpful and kind. Went out of their way to help us: accessing services, sourcing information and communicating with tour operator on our behalf, which meant we could relax and enjoy our holiday. The rooms are good size, comfortable and very clean, breakfast is very good with a selection of hot and cold food and drink. Family restaurant at the top of the stairs for evening meal. Swimming pool lovely and clean with good seating/loungers. Amazing views over Naples and the bay. Just beautiful.
