Very good location. The reception is amazing if you do not speak Italian and they are very kind and always here to give you help and tips to visit. They helped me for the ferry. The room is super clean with a kettle and tea and a mini fridge. The area is calm with everything you need. So much better than the business of bellagio or varenna. The locals are very nice. The hotel breakfast is great with all you need as a buffet. Also I had dinner at the café from the restaurant and the lasagna, the raviolis and the chianti wine was so good. I really loved the raviolis its the best I ever had. Will def come back. Grazie mille !

A very quaint property located in the beautiful sleepy village of Mandella del Lario. The owners and staff were extremely welcoming and would do literally anything to make sure your stay with them was a pleasant one. The property is also associated with a cooking academy and restaurant located within just a few steps of the hotel. The restaurant served delicious food. It was extremely affordable and offered a very lovely, real Italian dining experience in front of their restaurant on located on a quiet pedestrian-only cobblestone street adjacent to Lake Como.

The location was very central and a short walked into town. Apartment was a good space and comfortable. The checkin was easy and was met with friendly staff who provided a lot of helpfulness in ferry information and local things on the map. Breakfast was sufficient with cerals, breads, croissants, and meats. There were bottles of water and a departing biscuit for staying. There are three restaurants very close to the apartment, but book early as we didn't and missed our and had to go further afield.

The bathroom was a little small. The shower recess was too small for taller larger people.like me. The rooms are upstairs, and there is no lift in the building. The host did assist in carrying one of our bags upstairs.

Navigating to the property via GPS / Google Maps can be tricky. Also be aware that the property is in a restricted traffic area. Make sure to pop in to the lobby right away and get a temporary parking permit from the front desk so the local police won't ticket you. You can unload your bags, and then go park nearby and walk back to the property. Everything was very clean, and the location is wonderful. The host at the front desk was pleasant and helpful, and I felt very welcome.

My room was tiny with (literal) Ikea decor. A bit of a dichotomy... Mamma Ciccia is an very affordable, with small rooms - college dorm small - and basic amenities, and priced accordingly. Which is exactly the low-key budget experience I was looking for on my solo trip. But the attached restaurants are gourmet large plate small serving affairs - offering fussy and overpriced dishes.

Quiet, tranquility and authenticity of the setting made for a wonderful break from the holiday crowds. The staff are amazing, they treat you like family. Ferrucio and the restaurant staff could not have been better, obviously proud of the wonderful food they present. The reception staff go out of their way to make you welcome and to ensure your stay is relaxing and trouble free.

We couldn't find anything to not like, we loved everything about Mamma Ciccia and are so glad we booked there.

Nice place to stay when you are planning to be close Como Lake. In the middle of old, small city - not very crowded and peaceful. With amazing view for lake and mountains. In the apartment we had everything what we needed. Moreover, Giulia from reception was very helpful and kind. She helped us a lot. Also, she granted us with the breakfast products as we were leaving apartment before 8 so we had a chance to eat something before. Really appreciate that! We had some problems to find a place to park but it has been resolved and finally we found a place to leave our car.

Clean, modern, spacious. Great location; quiet, beautiful village, 5-minute walk to railway, 1-min to ferries (Bellagio and onwards). Breakfast at the next door bistro was perfect. The waitress was wonderful to us.

Wi-fi near useless inside. (Mobile reception/data work fine outside.) Reception opens limited hours; it was hot + no aircon remote. Reception was closed but the nice lady at the bistro located and got it to us. (In under an hour). Noisy fridge in the room; unplugged it to let us sleep. Woke up with melted ice all over the floor; so put a couple of towels inside or around it.

The location is only 2 minutes walk from the beautiful lake. The parking is not far either. We've got a large, bright and clean room on the second floor. The staff was very kind. The breakfast is reasonable, the coffee is excellent. The environment is very pleasant, there are neighborhood shops and a promenade, a pizzeria, an ice cream parlor. Great value for the price.

The stairs to the second floor are narrow, there is no net on the windows. Anyway, everything else was fine, so it didn't really bother us.

Everything was good, rooms were spacious, clean and close to most important places (restaurants, beach etc.). Free parking was quite close to the hotel (about 400m).

Breakfast was ok, but for 5 days stay I would need more variety. Eating croissant and bread every day can get quite dull. Twice there was scrambled eggs for breakfast (big plus). If there would be something else warm e.g. sausages sometimes, it would be much better.

The apartment was really spacious, good four family with 2 little children. It was clean and had pretty everything we needed (except for washing machine). It also had air conditioning which was great. The location was amazing, really close to water, not far from the beach. The town is really beautiful (at least the part where the apartment is located), with an amazing view on mountains. Breakfasts were ok, nothing special, mainly sweet things to eat.

Breakfast could be better, less sweet. It lacked vegetables like tomatoes. There were fruit: apples, peaches, nectarines. It was fine but I'd rather have some grapes and watermelon.
