Owner was very helpful, courteous, friendly, and eager to please. While he could not speak English as I am American, he was still able to communicate using translation on his phone. He was very helpful and informative about Mistretta. The room has great potential. It was a lovely spacious layout For one or two people. The view from the breakfast area was awesome. Great, vantage point. The common areas looked quite nice although I did not use them. Owner was an excellent host.

As I mentioned, the room has great potential however, it needs a good cleaning and dusting and attention to certain details that draw away from the charm inside such as extension cords being run for the refrigerator up above a doorway another doorway that wasn’t finished off and a dirty knife left in the sink. Little things like that can detract from the charm in appearance of the room. Also, the area walking down to the room from the street in my personal opinion needs to be cleaned up. It would give a much better appearance if the debris and garbage spread around was cleaned up Again little things, but they all detract from the pleasantness of the stay.

Nello is a wonderful and kind host. The terrace with a 360 view over Mistretta is the superstar of this property. Eating breakfast with that view is beautiful. The breakfast is simple and delicious - fresh croissants, apricot cake, fruit and fresh coffee. We stayed for four nights and the room we booked was huge - a big bedroom, a kitchen with full fridge and table, and a bathroom. The decor and vibe is rustic and dated, which adds a definite local Italian charm.

The towels are old and too small. I’m an average sized woman and the towel didn’t fit around my body. The cleanliness of some of the hidden areas should be improved upon. Maybe add some lamps to brighten up the room.

Breakfast was excellent and served on an incredible terrace with spectacular view. Host very nice and even brought us down to the village for dinner as we arrived late. However he had no English and we had no Italian so it caused a few complications.

Host was not prepared for 4 of us although we booked for 4. Very squeezed for space for the fourth person. Extremely difficult to find and google maps didn't help the situation. Property located next to Santa Caterina church but no internet meant we struggled as we didn't know this!

Very smooth check in, really helpful and friendly host as he gave us all instructions and information needed for our stay. Easy to park for free in town. View from the communal terrace was wonderful. Room was very clean and cozy. Very good breakfast from the bar as well.

Nello, our host was extremely welcoming and helpful, and he even accompanied us to a mechanic to solve a problem with our hired car. The place was very clean and we had everything we needed.
