The room was large, very good ensuite, and access to a terrace with wonderful views over Modica old town. There is so much to see, but be aware of the many stairs needed to get around (a good workout after the wonderful food and spritz). The location was superb, very near to San Giorgio Duomo - do the walk up the bell tower - it is worth the vista. There is a great bar located near the duomo, The Sabadi Bar. The entrance is near the street level of the stairs to San Giorgio, worth a visit at night. They do food, which looked good, but we didn't have any, so I can't comment. The Casa Sipone host was extremely helpful, giving suggestions of where to eat and sights to see. There is a resident tortoise on the terrace - Giorgio!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Only negative, we had to ask that the bins in the kitchen, which was also used by the other room guest, get cleaned out as they were full and smelly.

A bit of walk to the central.

This is a unique place in a wonderful town. We stayed here for 4 nights and used Modica as a base for exploring the towns nearby and enjoying Sempieri beach. As it turned out, it was really Modica that we enjoyed the most. There is so much to discover here. We enjoyed our welcoming hostess and the breakfast spot (Bar del Duomo) nearby. Excellent cappuccino, best cannoli and chocolate granita of our trip. And the views!!

This would be a challenge without a car. With a car it was in an ideal location to get in and out of town with parking on the street right outside the door.

Our stay at Casa Sipione Papa was exceptional. Centrally located, it is a perfect base to explore the old town. This place combines picturesque views from the terrace, elegant decor, and outstanding service (the hosts were incredibly accommodating, waiting for us with the keys at 1 am because of our delayed flight)- we were very happy with the place

View, central location, excellent service

The room was spotless and absolutely amazing. The balcony was very large. It even had a lemon tree in it and the view from it eas spectacular. The owner and his wife were lovely. Really friendly and helpful. Parking was easy outside on the road. The breakfast at the nearby cafe was perfect. The price eas super good value. I cannot fault this accommodation in any way. It was perfect.

I liked everything.

Beautifully decorated and redesigned family house with splended views of the Modica valley and right next to the cathedral. The hosts were extremely helpful and obliging and they went out of their way to make our stay perfect. We loved our bedroom anf balcony!

Perhaps a balcony barrier would have allowed more privacy since we were sharing it with other guests, but otherwise it ws perfect.

Casa Sipione Papa offered us not only a pleasant stay, but also an aristocratic ambiance. We had many experiences related to visiting palaces but here every object was placed with a good sense of art and reminded us of the gifted Italian craftsman. The extremely kind host helped us to continue our journey to Siracusa on Sunday when the trains do not goin that direction. We recommend Casa Sipione Papa only to those who know how to appreciate and respect beauty.

Everything was good

Great, beautiful place in perfect, very central location. We felt special staying in such a beautiful room 😉. The terrace and its view were great. You can see the lower part of town (which looks spectacular) and one side of the cathedral. The people who run the place are friendly and simpathetic. We felt welcome. Breakfast was good too, in the bar del duomo, around the corner.

The apartment is very cozy and chic! The room is very clean, spacious with a small balcony with an amazing view! The possibility to park right outside the building is definitely a plus. The location is great in the upper part of Modica, right next to the Cathedral which makes it really unique. Finally, the owner is very friendly and the breakfast is a nice surprise in the bar of the Cathedral with local products and great view. Highly recommended!

It's a magnificent place, the terrace with a wonderful view where my husband and I enjoyed a beautiful sunset. Moreover, the location is perfect, the decoration takes you on a journey through time, and the interaction was very warm. Additionally, the breakfast is excellent, in a charming place filled with local and traditional Modica products. I would definitely come back!
