February 2025

We stayed here for about 1 week during winter when it was fairly quiet with only 1 or 2 guests staying at the same time. The apartment was massive and had a beautiful balcony for our morning coffee. Despite it being quite an old building there didn't seem to be much dust and it was cleaned quite well. The staff were amazing and attentive, and happy to help with whatever we needed. Great location just outside of Florence, we were able to rent a car from the florence airport and drive to Podere Dell'Anselmo without much hassle. Behind the accommodation is a wonderful horse school where we were able to do a horse ride in the morning through the Tuscan valley which really made our experience super enjoyable. Nice and quiet during the night. Breakfast was amazing, we still think about it weeks later, the homemade focaccia, tomatoes and selection of other breakfast foods was fantastic. We would love to come back in Summer.

The road to get up to the reception is full of pot holes, it was more of a dirt path, that had us a bit worried about damaging our rental car, perhaps they could look at renovating this as I saw a few other people struggled with it. Although we just drove quite slow and it seemed to be ok. Dinner was a bit expensive, but the staff were coming in despite it being a holiday just to cook for us, so we were grateful.

After a great hike in the November sun through the Tuscan countryside I was well welcomed by Fabrizio at his charming agriturismo. The location, outside the small village of Anselmo, is in a vey quiet and beautiful place suounded by vineyards and olive trees. Fabrizio and his partner are friendly and very welcoming, and shared lots of interesting facts about the area. After relaxing in the sauna they served me a delicious 3 part meal, with florentine steak as the main part. The apple cake for dessert needs special mention too, really tasty. Amazing and filling breakfast too! Highly recommended! There was a very affectionate and adorable cat and a friendly dog as well šŸ˜Š

Have nothing to complain about really :)

We booked the ā€œDanteā€ Room. Queen bed with sofa bed (used it to place backpack and stuff! Dante is a charming self-standing bldg just steps from the main restaurant/reception! The property is perfectly located for day trips to: Sienna, San Gimignano, Florence. We had a car, free parking was plentiful. The pool was a nice addition, as was the gardens and washer/dryer access. Wine tasting, dinner, and horseback riding is possible. A must is a cooking class with Katieā€¦OMGā€¦then you eat n drink with her while being pampered! Breakfast was excellent and they will cook eggs when asked. The restaurant on the property is very goodā€¦a must try! Thereā€™s a great little Italian restaurant just down the hill; Il Virginio. Best thin crust pizza! Order your own!

Property could use just a little TLC, but that was the charm of our stay! Fabrizio is very nice and helpfulā€¦just be a little flexible with time. He wears many hats.

I love this place, it was not my first stay here! Outside in the green peaks of Firenze, but absolutely agroturismo! For the first night we got the apartment Dante which is beautiful, spacious and with an AC. Also, they have invented into a great pool! Dinners are A-ma-zing, must try at all cost! Nice staff, too.

I could only book two different apartments for the two nights, so I had to downgrade for the second night, and change rooms. Also, home made olive oil became extremely expensive recently.

The owner and staff were all very friendly. When we could not join the wine tour, the owner was very gracious to give us a tour of the cellar before we left. We also dined at the restaurant one evening and had steak. The food and wine were beautiful. The rooms were very clean and cosy, rustic, it felt like we were in a castle going back in time, it was a lovely experience. We also only had to spend an hour driving to Pisa to visit the Tower of Pisa.

Perhaps a little more description of the location of the property - we reached here by hiring a car and I was not sure if we could use other means of transport.

Wonderful and delicious breakfast with fresh tomatoes, basil leaves, watermelon, pear from their garden, homemade bread, their own olive oil. We bought their Chianti and olive oil, they are very good. Fabrizio and Frederica are both very kind, friendly and helpful.

all is good, but maybe if there's a softer pillow, the night will be even better :D

We really enjoyed our stay here for the weekend. The property is beautiful! We did wine tasting, relaxed by the pool, went for a walk around the property, and did a fabulous cooking class. For our wine tasting, Fabrizio gave us an overview of the wine making process with a tour then we did a proper tasting with dinner, which was delicious. Our stay was very relaxing and laid back. Exactly what we needed between our stays in Florence and Rome. If you are looking for an authentic and peaceful getaway from the bustling of the city then this is the place for you!

The facilities were great overall. The only comment is that the room smelled a little bit of smoke which was not ideal. It cleared a little with opening the windows.

Perfect location, not too far from the airport and Firenze, but still tucked in its own private area. Very helpful and lovely staff. The owner took us to a swift wine tour as well and let us taste all the different produce. Pool was very warm for that time of the year.

The walls were a bit too thin, so it was very easy to hear what other people did in their room. For instance someones alarm clock went off fro about 15 times. Pillow could have been a bit larger and thicker.

it is located on a vineyard and has the most beautiful views ever. the hosts were amazing and the food was superb. I highly recommend their steak. best 40 euros spent. the kitchenette has no oil or spices so if you wish to do more than warming up food youā€™ll have to bring everything including coffee and tea (not provided).

we arrived mid of June so the weather was still in transition. Air conditioner was not working. I opened the windows which obviously invited mosquitos and my 8 month old son got bit all over!!!

The location is beautiful, the swimming pool was a great place to relax and unwind. Loved the choice of activities that could be booked. We did an awesome horse ride through the property and vineyards. We also had a wonderful time at the cooking class, learning traditional Italian pasta making, foccacia and tirimasu. Meals on-site were delicious. There was a laundry available for use.

Bring mosquito repellent as they tend to come out on dusk.
