Lovely historic hotel in a very nice central neighbourhood of Naples. Lovely breakfast in a beautiful ballroom. Had a fantastic meal at Pulcinella Bistrò Ristorante in the same street (tip of the reception).

We booked a Comfort room (which was more expensive than the Economy room). When we looked at the website of the hotel that night we noticed we didn't get the right room. We asked the staff the next day and they said we had the correct room and that our room was a Comfort room. Nevertheless they gave us a small discount. Our room was exactly the same as the photo of the Economy room on the site and couldn't be any smaller. The Comfort room had separate seating which we didn't have and was obviously much larger. Or they didn't tell the truth or the photos are not accurate on their website. It certainly didn't ruin our stay, but we felt a bit swindled.

The much hyped Breakfast Room experience was truly phenomenal - amazing food (I'm still dreaming of the traditional Easter Pie) and the room was gorgeous. The hotel itself was wonderfully located, the staff were beyond helpful and accommodating (they were instrumental in helping me get my lost luggage from the airport!) and the entire stay went off without a hitch.

For some reason the point of improvement that sticks out for me was that the pillows were too small / flat? And the bed was comfy but could have been more comfortable. I stayed in an economy room so maybe next time I will book larger.

The location of the hotel was very central to do a lot of sightseeing by foot. The bed was very comfy. It was lovely having a mini bar and the prices were very reasonable. Breakfast was superb and the breakfast room Wow! what a delight, it reminded me a little of one of the rooms from the Palace of Versailles, as it was very decadent and I could have stayed there all day looking at the beautiful ceiling etc. The buffet choice was amazing, everything you could think of, lots of cold cuts, pastries, breads, etc.

The decoration in the room was quite dark and the lights were not sufficient. One lot were not working, we were in and out a lot so did not say anything. I thought that housekeeping would have noticed though.

Above everything we really appreciated the staff at the hotel who were warm, friendly, helpful and highly professional. In particular we would like to thank and commend Luigi who gave us some great restaurant recommendations, Antonio who helped us book taxis and Vincenzo and Martina who made our breakfasts a real pleasure and kept me supplied with excellent coffee during my Zoom meetings. We would also like to thank the chamber maids who kept the room beautifully clean. Decumani is a very special hotel, staffed by people who genuinely care about their guests, housed in a wonderful building (the breakfast room is breathtaking), and located in the heart of the unique city that is Naples.

The breakfast was amazing served in the beautiful Archbishop Hall. Staff offered made to order coffee, expresso, lattes… They served a variety of Italian pastries, cheese, meats, fruit, and so much more. In the evenings they offer bar service with the charming Antonio a master mixologist and wine expert to create the perfect drink. He uses fresh herbs grown on the patio! I had my first lemoncello spritz. Front desk staff was welcoming every time we returned and ordered taxis for us. Room was spacious and had a little balcony. Located in the heart of the Historic district, and more food options within a short walk. Can’t wait to go back someday.

I liked that we can walk to Spaccanapoli and there are good restaurants nearby. We took the metro to the Lungomare. Breakfast was decent . Hotel is in a good location . If you are coming in from the railway station to the hotel , ask the hotel to send a cab for you . The cab we took from the taxi stand at the station to the hotel dropped us 500 metre outside the alleyway and we had to drag two huge suitcases , a stroller and a small cabin bag through the rough stoney pathway ! And the cab driver charged us more ! We asked the hotel to call a cab whenever we wanted one and the drivers were decent and didn't overcharge us !

There were no blankets in the room , only a single bedsheet when we stayed in July and we did feel chilly on the first night Next day we asked for a blanket and one was sent to us . No complaints with the hotel stay !

Perfect location in the heart of Spaccanapoli; the hotel is part of an historical palace and the breakfast room is a gem and a feast for the eyes, Breakfast is excellent and features Neapolitan specialties such as a ‘pastiera’ which is to die for. Professional staff, always ready to help customers with the typical warmth of Neapolitans ; Ms Irene stands out among them . Since we had to leave very early on the day of checkout and would skip breakfast, they prepared some breakfast boxes filed with goodies !The location is strategic if you want to visit Naples. Nearby the beautiful church of San Giovanni Maggiore with its crypt and Pappacoda chapel is worth a visit . Would definitely stay in this hotel again when in Naples. Ps. We were there during the heatwave which affected southern Italy causing blackouts in Naples ( the power wires under the asphalt literally melted for the heat )all the members of the hotel staff including the young owner of the hotel, did whatever they could to accommodate the customers needs.

The breakfast was awesome and served in the most gorgeous historic hall, which was the highlight of the entire stay. It’s a 17th century building and the breakfast hall is right out of a medieval movie — incredible. The hotel itself is ok, great location: right in the center of the old town, five minutes walk from Plaza de Jesu and St. Chiara Monastery and the main old town avenue. It’s just that it’s extremely difficult to navigate those narrow streets if you drive. In general, it’s better yo book a hotel in a modern part of town with lots more places to see.

The room is smallish and the bathroom is tiny, especially the shower cabin: hard to fit in, even for one person. However, they do have much bigger rooms with balconies; I’ve just paid for this one so have no one to blame.

It was a charming hotel in old Naples full of old world charm. The room was a standard hotel room but the breakfast room was very grand with a fantastic assortment each morning. The hotel staff were friendly and very keen to be helpful. The location was very close to the metro and the spaccanapoli Street and lots of choice for dining.

Of no fault of the hotel the location is close to nightclubs where there was a lot of noise and the streets were badly littered in the mornings with rubbish and broken glass.

the air conditioning was a bit not to my standard while it worked, the temp was not under our control, which was at times a bit frustrating it seemed a bit warm for us at times and we would have liked the temp to be lower
