The rooftop terrace was an amazing oasis after our days spent in the crazy city of Naples - nice breakfast (bread rolls, ham, salami, cheese, eggs, coffee/tea, juice) to start the day, and wine and cake always available in the kitchen next to the terrace. Room was quiet small but comfortable, room and bath super clean and nicely decorated. Also worth mentioning: super quiet air conditioning, and when you close the windows, you barely hear the sounds of the city. And on top of all this the b'n'b is located on the top floor of a Naples sight - the Palazzo dello Spagnuolo. Super beautiful architecture! It's close the metro lines one and two, and from "Piazza Cavour" (3 min walk) there is also regional trains going directly to Pompeii and Ercolano (to reach the Vesuv). Naples Port is also easy to reach by bus 201, so you can take the ferry to Capri, Ischia etc. The old town with many sights (duomo, Napoli soteranneo) and restaurants is also only a short 10 min walk away.

Where can I start! This is a gem in Napoli! Nico the owner was amazing and understanding. I arrived and I came with an additional three friends and instead of turning away us away he accommodated me and took USD for the difference! That was super polite! He could have easily said no! He welcomed us with open arms. Now let’s talk about his property manager Patty what a delight she also welcomed us with open arms! She showed us the hotel and the terrazzo and made us breakfast in the morning. I have never seen such a hotel which provides free food in the apartment for us, yogurt, milk, free water, goodies like croissants, bread, jelly, and of course they provided FREE wine. Patty also helped us get a taxi on our way out! I’ve never met such hospitable people in my life! Not going to lie we came out there and people were a bit rude and these two show that there is true kind people out there still existing!

Best stay in Napoli ever. Could not imagine a better place in the city,in every aspect.We were greeted by Nico the owner who is a great guy who speaks English,which is a big plus.The apartment was amazing,lovely decor,beds very comfortable with spotless linen,plenty of hot water,really good heating of the rooms in cold January.The fridge was laden with fruit juices,milk and such,and replenished every day.Plenty of cakes,cookies cereal and such.Excellent espresso coffee. breakfast was brought to our room every morning at 8am sharp by Patrizia,a lovely friendly woman.Cheeses, salami,ham,and plenty of butter and oven fresh rolls. In short,a brilliant place to stay.Forgot to state the location couldn't be better.Plenty of places to eat,100% safe neighborhood and just a five minute walk to the national museum housing the treasures of Pompeii. A big thank you to Nico,his wife and Patrizia for a great stay.We shall surely be back.

Niccolò and Patrizia are amazing people and they let us feel incredibly welcome. We arrived after 21 so we had to self check-in, Niccolò explained me everything and we were able to get our keys and access our room easily. The room was very beautiful, everything was new and chosen with great taste, matching and even going beyond the high expectations we had for a stay in the famous Palazzo dello Spagnolo. The Palazzo is one of the most famous in Naples, and it has been depicted in many movies and literary works. In the morning we had breakfast on the wonderful terrace (with some salame and cheese prepared by Patrizia, almond milk -an important option for we couldn’t drink regular milk- and chocolate muffins, and everything was very good). It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely go back when we have the chance.

This space was HUGE, probably too big for what we needed - I think we could have slept 11 people, and it was only 2 of us. The bed was super comfortable, the decorations were absolutely stunning, unique, and historic. I have never stayed anywhere even remotely like this place. It was very different than what I expected, though mostly in a good way, with a ton of mannequins in old costumes in the front entry, a piano and a theater room, and a massive outdoor terrace with large sculptures and nice views of Naples. One one hand, I wish I would have known the specifics of this place and what we were getting into. On the other hand, it was cool to be surprised by such a unique and interesting place. *Also, Patrizia coming by in the morning with fresh bread, cheese, and ham was a very cool touch, and the cookies stored throughout the kitchen were also a nice treat. Again, just the most unique lodging experience I've ever had.

Location was pretty good, but because the building is historic and the steps to the building are scenic, every time we walked out the gate there were people asking if we could let them in to take pictures. We didn't feel comfortable doing that, and so it just made for stressful entries and exits. Other than that, only other notes would be that the wifi was very weak, and the street behind the bedroom was pretty loud at night. Also, while the room full of costumed mannequins and old puppets and stuff was super cool, it was also a little creepy at night ha. We also had some issues with our keys working on the front gate.

The room was an oasis in Napoli. The rooftop garden and well-stocked kitchen facility were wonderful to have there. Great bathroom and shower setup.

For a lot of people, the steps are going to be a major problem - climbing up to the fifth floor with just our two carry-on bags was work. Someone with large amounts of luggage would be hard-pressed. Finding it later that night was trickier than expected with the only clue being a small “19” plaque that was difficult to spot in the dark and with the large gate doors closed. I’d advise at least a small plaque with the name just above the gate doors.

Great room — a good size for two people with a little Juliet balcony. Overall the room was very clean and the bathroom felt appropriately modern. The terrazo for breakfast was gorgeous. The woman managing the hotel was extremely friendly, and while she only spoke Italian, was eager to communicate through Google Translate and ensure that we had an excellent stay.

The wifi signal was pretty weak (it really only worked near the door in our room). Not a big deal for us as tourists but something to keep in mind if you're traveling for work!

It ticked all the boxes. - The property was well positioned with private car parking. - The building was well kept, and the rooms and common areas were clean. - The terrace is fabulous - Nicolo and the lady are very friendly. If I come back to Naples I would book here again.

Liked it all. Something to note is that there are a lot of stairs to the get to the rooms. This wasn’t an issue for us given we were staying one night, however the property does have lockers on ground level so you can carry what you need to your room and leave any suitcases locked up.

Patrizia makes the place feel like home. She goes out of her way to accommodate you. She ordered a taxi for the airport for us. She cleans the rooms and changes bedsheets regularly. The rooms, baths, beds, and pillows are super comfortable; particularly the bed and pillows. The solarium on the rooftop is glorious, especially in the mornings, even in the winter. The coffee is outstanding, and I have to find that Barbone brand at home. It was great staying in a 700+ year old building, built for Spanish royalty.

4 flights of steps; counted 132 steps. They are wide and deep steps but pack light. It's not for everyone. We made sure we climbed the steps only once per day. The other thing was that you could hear the other guests coming and going in the corridor. Our room had an annoying water drop in the washroom walls. We solved it by closing the washroom door.

The 3 balcony's were fantastic. I very much liked the sound system they had (with Alexa) the breakfast brought to us in the morning, 3 shower facilities and washing capabilities with some complimentary wine and juices, coffee tea. They had it all, it was so nice and relaxing. Turns out, the square it is in is a large tourist attraction too but it doesn’t over crowd of bother you. Perfect locations, simple little walk into town and a lovely market outside. Brilliant little area. Thank you Nicolò!!!
