Oh my, this hotel was superb, i love the rustic décor, wooden furniture, antiques. Staff was brilliant, Ellie was fantastic and she spoke English, the other staff members did not speak much English, but it didn't matter, body language did the trick. everyone was nice, i felt like home. Property was clean, good size swimming pool - water cleaned every day. Breakfast was fabulous, the croissants, the fresh juice, local cheese, it was heaven. I never seen my 5 year old eating so much for breakfast :) the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so you need a car if you want to explore lakes and mountains, unless you are on holidays to be far away from civilization n the forest within the mountains. i loved it, it was quiet and astonishing views. Also because of the hotel being in the woods he heat did not bother us so much. they allow pets and they have 2 pet turtles.

The only thing it could improve is to add more vegetarian option to the menu (although the bruschetta and pizza was delightful :) it could be nice to have more choice. And maybe add children menu.

The staff go above and beyond. The hotel is about 900m high. Which means that even though even North Italy gets very hot in the summer often, you don't need aircon as the air is cooler up there. Also there were hardly of any mosquitos which is an added bonus as warm places like Italy, especially in summer have a mosquito issue. There is no malaria though in Italy

I loved it. I would be concerned in winter as the roads could be icy. Italian winter is short so I would avoid December to February. March to November is fine.

Breakfast was good. Started a bit late. Couldnt even get a coffee before 8am. But was worth the wait. The coffee was real (not Nescafe poison) and there was no limit of number of cups. All were freshly made from the machine .. not self pour. There were freshly made croisants and other bits. The staff were good. The outside terrace ws very nice. The pool was big. The whole place was relaxe and tranquil. There were some decent hikes straight from the hotel door. the place we stayed after this cost almost double this place but we enjoyed this place more.

Stsrt breakfast at 7am, at least for coffee, for early risers who want to do a walk.

Fantastic place to stay on our way to Switzerland. the hotel is one out of the olden days and has been left like that. but super clean and has a modern touch, I.e. the beds look old but are actually plastic. Quite funny actually. Fantastic spot and nice terrace. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Felt at home straight away. Nice food, basic but good value for money. Fantastic tiramisu and very funny staff..... pool is lovely, breakfast is great. What more can I say. This is definitely one to return to!!

The staff is super friendly, very kind and extremely helpful. The location is perfect if you want something in the hills that is not too far away from San Giulio. Great value for money. Breakfast is simple but there's something for everybody! We even had dinner at the restaurant one evening and it was PERFECTION! The rooms are clean, the furniture is rustic and made of wood, the shower and wash basin are new. Charming! What more can you ask for! Added bonus: Apparently there are adventure parks close by, we didn't visit them though. Great place for cyclists as well, we saw a few come in for a coffee half way into their ride :)

Wifi could have been a bit faster.

Extremely responsive staff. In the evening there was a rather noisy company in the restaurant, but the staff immediately moved us to the other hall. They have excellent cuisine and good wine, but breakfast was only sweet things. In the rooms, the furniture is quite old and You can hear everything from the other rooms

I loved the remote location. Very scenic. You need a car to get here as ot is off the beaten track but we'll worth the visit and exceptional value for money. We were there in mid September and availed of the out door pool and although it was cold it was very refreshing and a great way to get sorted after a late night. Ellie and her compatriots ate very accomodatating and the food in the restaurant is excellent.

Nothing.

This was a lovely location up in the mountains but near to Lake Orta. A windy road to get there, but fine in a car - although some cyclist also were seen. A festival was taking place the evening we arrived and on the following day, but we were not disturbed by noise as our room faced the back of the hotel. Additional parking was provided in the field opposite the hotel. It was interesting to see the festival and local stalls. There was a lovely smell in the hotel, perhaps from the wood. The furniture was unusual and intriguing. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English as well as a variety of other languages. The food was amazing, particularly the green beans, as well as the tiramisu. We would have liked to have tried the pool, but our time was a bit too limited. It was available at any time though.
