Location with the views were stunning. Parking was easy and included. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom nice. But it just didn’t offer the wow factor that it should have for the price. The main issue was a worn and tired building. Breakfast okay. Hard for vegetarian which I understand. But staff was unwelcoming and rude. Especially the man at the breakfast area on Sunday 22 October. He acted like it was an inconvenience to him to make a latte. I was very surprised by the service and I’m not a ‘fussy’ guest!

Overall needs a good touch of TLC. Nicer staff. Price is too high for what we received.

We stayed 4 nights and wished we had extended for longer. Customer service at the front desk, beach bar and breakfast (particularly the young female servers) was efficient and all staff served with a smile. Loungers are reserved for your stay so no need to put towels down etc. plenty of loungers available. Adequate pool for younger kids and nice access to the sea. Lunch at the beach bar was fresh and came with excellent service. The best of all was the housekeeping. The ladies were so quick and the room was well kept twice a day. There is a shuttle service from 8.30pm and takes you into Porto Ercole, Porto Santo Stephano and Orbetello. We are used to staying at 5 star hotels with some big brand names and have to say we really really enjoyed our stay at Villa Domizia.

Beautiful Junior Suite on the 2nd floor - Giglio Suite with gorgeous sea views and amazing sunsets. Modern light furnishing, beautiful bathroom with double vanity. Great breakfast buffet and really good restaurant with amazing views. Direct access to the crystal clear ocean and hotel provides paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel gear

The first night we were in a junior suite on the ground floor which didn't have direct sea views and the room was very dark. Also bathroom was not very modern. We asked to be moved which happened the following morning. Great service. The junior suite on the 2nd floor was no comparison to the ground floor 'suite'. I don't understand how they can justify charging the same rate.

Beautiful view of the water out of our room and on our balcony! Staff was very helpful, showing us how everything worked. We ate dinner at the restaurant on location and it was delicious with fresh fish.

We didn’t have a car and nothing appeared to be in walking distance. Ok if you have a car or just want to relax at the property. Taxis do not sit at the train station so reservations are helpful. There is a number to call but we didn’t have cell service for that and don’t speak Italian.

- Friendly and helpful staff at the reception and the beach - Amazing level of cleanliness, very fast, efficient and kind cleaning service - Exceptional & romantic view from our room - Good & fresh breakfast - Sun beds are assigned to a room number so you won't have to fight for them even at the busiest time of year - Perfect spot to enjoy quiet & peaceful vacation

- You are always reminded that it used to be a villa. Our room was super small, so was the bed and walls are paper thin - Very dangerous exit from the hotel, no visibility to make the only turn you should take (continuous line) - The location is by the road between two cities and you can't walk around or go anywhere without a car (which we had but we still felt isolated) - The breakfast staff is doing its best but remains disorganized to the point where they look overwhelmed by a half empty room

The staff was incredibly professional and wore many hats as this is a boutique hotel. The breakfast and coffee in the mornings were perfect.

Our room was a bit smaller than expected, but the patio and view were great. We were traveling with kids in our group and several times were asked to be quiet, even though they weren't being excessively loud or it being after hours.

The view. Balcony. Quiet. Parking. Great breakfast. It was to cold to use the outdoor sitting area but it was a great setup. Also nice pool area. Sitting area was in a grass location as there really is no "beach". You can walk down to the water. If you like view and privacy over a sandy beach (like we do) this is absolutely great. We booked this place for a 2nd night we liked it so well.

The only downside might be that it is a bit out of town so if you do not have a car to get to town and other restaurants this may be a difficulty. As such you are limited to the restaurant on site. The restaurant is a bit pricey and limited on options, a bit snooty. It was a cold evening so we had to wear our coats during dinner, but the view is fantastic.

Friendly staff, beautiful grounds. The breakfast buffet was varied with sweet and savory choices, fresh fruit, yoghurt with topics, bacon and eggs and even waffles! Free parking.

Well, frankly we prefer simpler, Tuscan cooking. We ate at the hotel because we prefer not to drive at night and there were no other options in walking distance. The menu choices were exotic, but it would have be nice to add some simpler options, too, like homemade pasta or aquacotta soup.

Location is exceptional. I could look at that view forever. The pool setting on the seafront is idyllic.

Hard to find fault really but the website said it had access to the beach but it didn’t really, just to a concrete platform and rocks. There is a small sandy public beach which the pool guy offered to take us to as it wasn’t easy to find the way. Pool wasn’t heated which was a problem in April. Staff all seemed a bit anxious - perhaps they were new for the season. Rooms could do with a kettle & tea/coffee.

The view was mesmerizing, sea view all around with amazing beaches. The hotel located near a small town on an island that has various authentic family restaurants, I personally recommend the “Da Nicco” restaurant, their pizza is one of the best I had. The staff were very friendly, well-mannered and professional. Breakfast was great and has a lot of options. Rooms were very clean and had great views even with partial sea view.

The rooms weren’t spacious but still, very clean and aesthetically pleasing.
