Amazing location overlooking the sea. Sitting on the balcony after a long day of sightseeing and watching the sunset was truly incredible. The room was typical of the Italian style that runs through Amalfi Coast and included a mini bar, hair dryer and toiletries. Francesco the owner was also very friendly and helpful with any queries we had. Breakfast was unusual compared to a typical English breakfast but delicious. Having cake for breakfast was a nice experience as was eating it whilst sat under the lemon trees in the gardens of the property.

The property is high up in the cliff face so be prepared for some epic step climbing. I think I worked out that you have to climb an average of 600-750 steps depending on where you start and it is tough in the heat! There are local buses that can take you around the area and a bus stop is located at the top just outside the property but we could never work out the bus route or timetable properly! The room doesn’t have an iron so you will need to take a travel iron with you or iron creased clothes beforehand. You also have to be out of your room before 11am otherwise you will not be included in the days housekeeping rounds.

This was the hotel that we didn’t know how it was gonna be when we got there, but it blew our expectations out of the water!!!! My wife and I loved every bit of Locanda!! The hospitality was great, breakfast was incredible, the views are stunning, and just overall a great value for my wife and I!

The only thing people need to be aware of is to make sure that you are aware of the local bus (black Mercedes van that says local bus) that takes you right up to the hotel. If not you’ll have to walk up and haul your stuff up with you up .7 miles of hills and stairs which isn’t ideal. Ask the front desk when the local bus comes so you can make sure to take it up to the hotel.

Beautiful views and the place was run very professionally. Wonderful breakfast with a different croissant every morning, and the host was more than happy to assist throughout our stay, with restaurant recommendations and bookings, driver bookings, arranging a scooter etc. The place is wonderfully decorated with stunning tiles and detail. A lovely spot under the lemon trees outside to enjoy a wine with a view. Access to Path of the Gods just across the road.

It's not right in the action, but very close to it, with steps down to restaurants on the property.

We had a wonderful four days at this delightful B&B. The views high above the sea were beautiful, and the colorful ceramic tile floors and bathroom walls added to the cheerful holiday atmosphere. Our hostess was happy to advise on attractions and restaurants. We arrived later than planned our first night and she recommended several places for dinner and called to book the one we chose, and we tried her other recommendation later- both excellent. The rooms and amenities were exactly as stated- excellent continental breakfasts served on the terrace with a sea view, comfortable bed, good WiFi, and off-street parking at the property. We have visited Prainao half a dozen times but not for a decade. We were pleased to find that although the town is somewhat more built up it retains its charm and beauty, and we will certainly stay at La Locanda when we return.

I loved staying at your Locanda in Praiano, right by the trail head to the Path of the Gods, and with the local bus stop at your gate. The views from the terrace and my patio were stunning! breakfast served at my patio table was delicious and generous. Excellent coffee! Your help with ordering dinner to be delivered to my patio was so appreciated. This is the only review I have written during my 3 week trip in the UK and Italy - a truly exceptional experience. I wish I had been able to spend more than 2 nights here. ♥️

I was backpacking, so for me the location uphill was a bit difficult on foot - but it meant I was well on my way to the Path of the Gods when I arrived. Once I knew about the local bus and the timetable Ester gave me, I was all set to easily go down to the Main Street and back up again. There is excellent private parking for guests arriving by car.

The host was extremely kind and helpful, she made our trip even more wonderful! The room with the sea view was breathtaking, always clean, comfortable and nice. The accomodation is on the hill, but you can get to every restaurant in 15-20 min by using the steps (sometimes a bit tiring but the view worth it!!!). Note that all off the accomodations in Praiano (and in the Amalfi coast) has a lot of stairs, since every town is located on the hills.

Exceptionally good Italian breakfast, really good view from the room and a very comfortable room. Hostess was very friendly. Hostess allowed us to store our luggage for a day after the stay.

It was very difficult to find this place when coming from central Praiano by foot. When calling the hostess and asking her which street the entrance is on, she kept going on about a big gate that we would need to find but was not able to specify the name of the street. In the end, I ended up running to either side of a ~ 3 flight staircase to find out the truth.

Beautiful authentic small family run B&B. Ester welcomed us. Beautiful setting and queen room with Juliette balcony with views of the coast. Continental breakfast in the gardens under lemon tree. Parking also.

I think maybe kettle in room with cups and key holder lock with key code just in case you are delayed after 9pm. You must bear in mind this is a small family run B&B not a hotel so after 9pm reception is closed.

The property offers the most amazing views up and down the coast and across the sea from a garden terrace. It is very peaceful indeed up there. Our room had its own garden terrace with an awning, deck chairs and a table with 2 chairs where we could relax with the view or enjoy breakfast on our own if we didn't want to eat with the other guests under the lemon grove. The breakfast offered was good with juice, yoghurt, pastries and cake, coffee and meat, and cheese if you wanted it. A kettle, cups, and wineglasses were provided on request. There is a local bus service which was essential during our stay given the location of the property.

It might have just been our room, but the shower did not get hot, and the water pressure was very weak. This was regardless of following the host's instructions to get hot water. We think it would be helpful for pre-checkin communication to include info re the local bus as we found out about it having scaled approx 400 steps with our bags! Wineglasses and teacups provided could be refreshed each day when the room is serviced.

Great that it was on the top. Breakfast was always made perfectly. The hosts were so awesome for everything and made it such a great atmosphere to stay.

Since it’s on top of the hill, sometimes it’s tough to walk down/up the stairs to the bars/restos/beach if you miss the local shuttle for 1 euro. No central A/C but very breezy overall if the windows are open!
