I have to say, the peaceful setting of the place was outstanding! We travel a lot in our life.... but at Vicolo Folletto we slept on the best comfy beds we ever slept in!!!! The view of old town from our windows was beautiful, the city safe and people were super nice. Everything was perfect!

We had difficulties the first day to reach the place due to city regulations and "no passing zone" so it was frustrating to be able to download the car at first. Then the lady gave us a pass to be able to reach the place when needed and we had no more problems

Great things: The proprietors are artists and have an exceptional eye for cool interior design. There are so many interesting feature pieces in the apartment living area, but it is a cohesive look and not over-cluttered. If I was an Instagram or Pinterest user it would have been all over that! The apartment is in a beautiful old building with tall ceilings and exposed old beams in the living area. The rooms are large and airy. The design is simpler/more minimalist in the rooms, but are really stylish also. The bathroom had all modern facilities but tiled in period style. Location is excellent - right in the heart of the city with so many restaurants just a short stroll away. The kitchen for guests is very well equipped, so if needing to self-cater it would be nice. In fact, the apartment could be ideal for several couples to share, each with their own rooms but then a large communal dining table adjacent to the kitchen.

The breakfast is all "long-life" foods that are packed and sorted into bowls for each room the night before. Some fresh bread or croissants, cheese and meat would have felt more in-keeping with the vibe of the place. But I guess that is why the pricing is reasonable; The proprietors also have other jobs and the visitors could collect their own fresh food (although being on a business trip I did not have time to do that).

This accommodation is well presented with an attractive communal sitting/dining area and well-equipped kitchen. Snacks and drinks are frequently provided for each room. The location is superb, right on the edge of Reggio's historic centre, a mere five-minute walk from Piazza Prampolini.

The most irritating thing about our room was that the bed constantly rolled away from the wall where the headboard was affixed when we sat up on it. In the mornings the sounds of other guests coming and going and of the cleaning staff's activities were rather intrusive.

One of the most beautiful homes I seen. Super clean, they were cleaning our rooms every single day. They upgraded our room for free. The hostess was super friendly and helpful. They provided also snacks for breakfast. Very good value for money. It had also a nice little room like an office the bathroom was very spacious.

Wonderful historical building, great location and very pleasant atmosphere inside the lovely flat.

The stairs: I only had a carry on but anyone with a proper suitcase would have a problem dragging it 3 floors up. Not everyone is young and athletic! Breakfast items on offer were welcome but very, very basic.

We booked two rooms for one night. One thing you should be aware of is that it is a shared flat so depending on the number of rooms you book, there may well be random other people in the flat. Which is ok, it was just not really apparent for us from the description. The rooms themselves and the flat in general was very nice, superb location and also very clean. The rooms included breakfast, which was a plus.

Lock on the door of room #1 is not suitable for small children, it's rather difficult to open as you may not push the key all the way in. There is no elevator, you will have to lift your heavy suitcases all the way up on your own. The process of entering the flat is very well documentated and communicated, but overall rather difficult (requiring phone calls for the outer door and pushing the right random buttons). Parking is somewhat confusing, as the flat is located in a restricted zone for residents. We parked nevertheless in the streets and did not get a fine. Some more information on parking beforehand would have been nice. Overall, these are rather small nitpacking things. The overall experience was very good and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Excellent location, a 5 minutes walk from the central Piazza Prampolini. The apartments are on the third floor of an historical palace (no elevator, though!) Beautiful room, extremely clean. Very helpful staff.
